So I am new to this site and wished to share with you guys My picks for the top 10 Comic Books of the last Decade, So hear they are:

#10 Ex Machina
Writer: Brian K. Vaughn
Artist: Tony Harris
Publisher: Wildstorm

Ex Machina is just great, the writing is superb, the art amazing and its characterization is just phenomenal. The series details the life of Mitchell Hundred AKA The Great Machine , the world's only superhero, who, in the wake of his actions on 9/11, is elected Mayor of New York City. The story is set during Hundred's term in office, and interwoven with flashbacks to his past as The Great Machine.

#9 Superman: Red Son
Writer: Mark Millar
Artist: Dave Johnson
Publisher: DC

Mark Millar twists the comics model and shows a world in which heroics are defined by politics and environment, nominated for an Eisner Award in 2004 this series is one of the best Elseworlds stories out there. In Red Son, Superman's rocket ship lands on a Ukrainian farm rather than in Kansas since it arrived to earth earlier then intended, meaning Earth's rotation placed the Ukraine in the ship's path instead of Kansas. Instead of fighting for Truth, Justice, and The American Way, Superman is described in Soviet radio broadcasts as the Champion of the Common Worker who fights a never-ending battle for Stalin, Socialism, and The International Expansion of the Warsaw Pact.

#8 All-Star Superman
Writer: Grant Morrison
Artist: Frank Quitely
Publisher: DC

Another one of My favourite Superman stories, while not quite a Elseworlds it can be considered as its universe is vastly different to the main DCU. Grant Morrison's awesome writing brings the characters alive on the page like never before, accompanied by Frank Quitely's amazing Artwork its no wonder All-Star Superman won several awards between 2006 and 2009. The series was the second to be launched in 2005 under DC's All-Star imprint, the first being All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder. These series are attempts by DC to allow major comics creators a chance to tell stories showcasing these characters without being restricted by DC Universe continuity.

#7 100 Bullets
Writer: Brian Azzarello
Artist: Eduardo Risso, Dave Johnson
Publisher: Vertigo

I have no idea how many times I've read this series, its great. Brian Azzarello writing is just amazing and made better with artists Eduardo Risso and Dave Johnson. 100 bullets tells the story of The Trust, an Illuminati-like organization, and their field soldiers, The Minutemen. The series won the 2002 Harvey Awards for Best Writer, Best Artist and Best Continuing Series, and the 2003 Harvey Award for Best Artist, as well as the 2001 Eisner Award for Best Serialized Story, and the 2002 and 2004 Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series.

#6 Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk
Writer: Damon Lindelof
Artist: Leinil Francis Yu
Publisher: Marvel

Even though the book was subject to a long delay that saw the last issue be released in 2009 whereas the first issue was released in 2005, Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk didn't disappoint, with Lost's Damon Lindelof on writing duties, the series was given amazing writing, with awesome cliffhangers and an amazing ending. Yu's beautiful and detailed art help bring Lindelof's writing to life. The series takes place between Ultimate X-Men issues 69 and 71 and before Ultimates 2 issue 11. The miniseries is a throwback to Wolverine's comic debut in The Incredible Hulk #180-182.

Part 2 will be up shortly :)
