Last Thursday's battles:

Black Panther beat Deathstroke 20-14, personally I disagreed. I thought their skills and equipment were around the same but Slade has a slight physical advantage, so I gave my vote to him. But that's not how it turned out, this week I've given Panther someone who could rival his own fighting prowess.

Guy Gardner beat Iceman 22-4, hopefully Guy's next opponent will a bit tougher for him to beat.

Thor beat Captain Marvel 20-9, I didn't vote on this because I couldn't decide, it was too close to call for me. But the vote turned out decidedly in Thor's favor..I'm giving Thor a step up in his next battle for a challenge.

As always, put aside popularity and vote for the character you really think should win.

Black Panther vs Ozymandias

Iron Man vs Green Lantern (Gardner)

Thor vs Doomsday

For me it's:

BP vs Ozy-Too close to call.

Iron Man vs Guy Gardner-Went with Iron Man, repulsers can defintely break the constructs and if that doesent work Iron Man has the strength to break through them, not an easy win by any means but I vote Iron Man.

Doomsday vs Thor-I vote Doomsday, if Hulk can overpower Thor (he can), then Doomsday should be no different.

Black Panther vs Ozymandias

Black Panther wins. His suit absorbs kentic energy there is much Ozy can do against that and the various other gadgets Panther has.

Ironman vs Green Lantern (Guy)

Guy wins.Lets face facts this would be an epic battle but it really comes down to this the most powerful weapon in the universe(the Green Lantern ring) vs the most powerful weapon on Earth(Ironman armor).

Thor vs Doomsday

Doomsday wins.Simple if Thor can barely beat a mindless beast(the Hulk) what chance does he have against a savage killing machine of destruction there a reason they call him Doomsday.

Black Panther

Ironman

Thor- as has been pointed out before Thor usually loses to the Hulk because he holds back for fear of harming Banner. As far as strong goes the Incredible Hulk is like an ant to a Krypton. I compare Doomsday to Mangog in strength. Thor defeats similar foes with his hammer Mjölni. Mjölnir gives him the ability to transport an enemy to a different dimension. This is how I envision the fight would go. It's backed by documented stories, and I'm sticking to it.

^^ this is a bit off topic, but Thor doesent always hold back against Hulk. He only did so in their first few encounters, he says he only holds back against people that can't take his punches. Like Cap or IM, one hit from Mjolnir would kill either of those two on contact. But against people with similar durability/strength as himself like Hulk, Gladiator, Hercules, etc. he doesent hold back because he doesent have to. Because those guys can bring it just as good as he can...,off topic I know, has nothing to do with the battle. But just thought I'd say it.,.

Black Panther vs Ozymandias: BLACK PANTHER
They're very evenly matched, but Panther bring more to the table.

Iron Man vs Guy Gardner: As long as GG doesn't get beside himself, GUY GARDNER

Thor vs Doomsday: THOR
The difference between Hulk and Doomsday is the fact that the Hulk/Bruce Banner is a friend of Thor. Doomsday is a mindless beast who happens to be a villain. And Thor has shown on 2 separate occasions that if he really wants to without holding back, he can put the Hulk down.

Is I say Thor on that one.

Regular Thor has never defeated Hulk, it was only King Thor. Thor doesent hold back against those who can take his hits.

He's held back against superpowered opponents before

Crog the GodSlayer, Gladiator, the Wrecking Crew, Hulk, to name a few where he flat out said he was. And Thor has shown that if he doesn't hold back, he could put down Thing and the Hulk when they where empowered by the Worthy.

Dr.Strange also cut off his access to the Odinforce when that happened.

Black Panther vs Ozymandias -- I think BP would take this. He's not enhanced to the point of, say Captain America, but he's close -- whereas Ozy isn't enhanced at all. Strategically/tactically I'd rate them about the same, but BP has the clear edge physically.

Iron Man vs Green Lantern -- GL creates a giant can opener and peels Tony right outta that suit.

Thor vs Doomsday -- Thor. Doesn't matter that Doomsday would resurrect after; he'd still lose the fight, and Thor has myriad ways he can kill him again. Including disintegrating him with the full fury of his magical lightning. I wonder, how do you resurrect when you've been atomized?

Yes, but who doesent say that they held back whenever they lose a fight? And I'll agree that Thor is a tad stronger than a calm Hulk, but an angry Hulk is too much for him. And Thor has been put down by Hulk at least four times, maybe more I can't remember. And yes, Thor doesent hold back against those who can take his hits. Anyways, this is getting off topic do I'll stop now.

But i gave you examples of the ones he's fought where he says he holds back. The Hulk vs Thor battles has never seen Hulk win a decisive win. It usually ends with Hulk knockin Thor away or down and Hulk leaping away.

Where Thor has gotten clear victories over the Hulk on 2 occasions

It a safe bet to say no one is going to change anyones mind on this. Both Doomsday and Thor are powerful opponents.Anyone who've read anything on these two can see that.If you ask me I say the victory would depend on the senario. If Thor fights while holding back because he thinks there is a mind in this monster then Doomdays might win before Thor realize it's too late. But on the other hand if Thor does realize then he stands a better chance at winning.

Fenix122It's safe to say we agree to disagree on this.

Over the years Thor has been handled pretty consistently by the writers. This can't be said for the Incredible Hulk. A.k.a. healing factor. Some of you guys seem to have this crazy idea that the Incredible Hulk can take Superman, something I just find totally ridiculous. But I regress. It's my belief that if Thor is resolved he could handily defeat the Hulk, and as mentioned above in multiple fashions.

It's not about changing someone's mind, it's about stating facts concerning their powers, abilities, weapons, and feats they've displayed over the years.

@Spidey -- I agree with you about Thor being consistent...up to about ten years or so ago. Thor has always been a heavy hitter, but never once (that I can recall) did he ever hold back on an opponent who proved a threat to him. He might hold back on, say, Captain America, but Hulk? No. Their fights were always full-on. Sometimes Hulk would win; sometimes Thor would win. But there was no holding back on either's part.

Then back in the early '00s -- around the time the Ultimates line came out, giving the 616 characters some fierce competition -- writers started amping Thor up. Hell, they started amping everybody up, or at least the fan favorites. Remember the days when it took Wolverine months to heal from, say, the wounds he received from Silver Samurai? And look at him today; Cyclops blasts the flesh right off his bones and he heals back instantly. And remember the days when Thor would launch himself full bore at a raging Hulk -- or Ulik, or Kurse, or Beta Ray Bill -- without hesitation or refrain? Thor is a warrior, not a thinker. He lives for the battle. He never held back before, so why do writers have him saying he always has now?

When it comes to someone like Doomsday -- who, not only despite his power set but BECAUSE of it, I've always seen as nothing more than a gimmick character (along the lines of Mr. Mxzptylk or Bat-Mite or the Popuppians in Marvel) there's no way Thor would hold back. He'd attack full force, and he'd win, for the same reasons he'd beat Superman: because a god > an alien.

@Sagemode

Be that as it may, they both have amazing feats, abilities, and weapons (well two out of three for Doomsday). We can rationalize it anyway we want Thor has unlimited strength or Doomsday can evovles to defeat his opponents, but this is a close call fight.

Thor would win , he has things he can do that even Superman does not . Like the Godblast and Magic and either one could beat Doomsday .
