By now all of you know that I am big on fighting games, particularly Mortal Kombat. Next to movies, this is my biggest passion. I know I have never fallen through on posting the script as I stated on BattlinMurdock's tips for writing screenplays, because I always critcized my work. Here I will post some things of what I am trying to do with it. I know it probably isn't a smart thing to share this with you guys, but I wanted to tell you what I have planned and what I am trying to do with it.

1) Origin

The main story for this will not only have backgrounds for 98% percent of the characters (I will get to them later), but will also explain the creation of the Mortal Kombat tournament itself.

2) Realism

This is where it might be divided amongst you. I will not be having any sort of Christopher Nolan realsim in it what so ever. It will be like the videogames, completely fantasy. The deaths won't be cartoony though.

3) Character appearances

Before I continue on, there are four characters in the movie (who's names I won't reveal due to plot reasons) that makes an appearance. But here is the roster of characters in it: Lui Kang, Kung Lao, Sonya Blade, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Kano, Baraka, Reptile, Goro, Shang Tsung, Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

4) PG-13 again or R?

Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the first MK movie and I still think it's the best videogame adaptation ever while the second one sucked. So, blood and gore in the movie? Yes.

5) Realms

Mortal Kombat has the two most well known realms. Earthrealm and Outworld. But there are an exact total of six realms, 3 of them will be in it.

What do you think? Like what I am doing with it? Comment below and be respectful. P.S, I plan on making it a trilogy.

I wrote an MK script (which I have yet to post here as I'm still editing it) that takes place entirely in the Earthrealm and is a very close adaptation of the first game in the series, focusing on the characters introduced in the first game and how they came to be involved in the tournament; the rest of what I intend to be a trilogy would take place in a number of realms though.

@jessepostal: No, it is not like the last game. Sure the roster sounds the same but the story is completely different.

@MCUFan1: Rebirth was NOT Mortal Kombat. But, I did make some tweaks to a couple of characters so it wouldn't be as bland and feel like it's directly ripping off the games.

@MCUFan1: Mortal Kombat: Rebirth was the directors pitch attempt for a pure realistic reboot of the franchise. I HATED every single part of Rebirth except for the action. Now, Mortal Kombat: Legacy was actually decent with the exception of the mispronunciation of Edenia. It followed the Mortal Kombat storyline with some originality and very few differences. I honestly don't see how you liked Rebirth, then again you must not be a Mortal Kombat fan. Mortal Kombat was meant to be pure fantasy, not realistic. That's why I've been skeptical from the start when WB announced that he would be the director, as long as he doesn't try to pull what he did with Rebirth, it should be decent.

@MCUFan1: To be fully honest it wouldn't be the shit, because unless it is like the games and pure fantasy but have it be real, it would be udder crap. I think many people liked Rebirth because it was different and I think also because realism is on demand these days. I'm sorry but when I go to the movies, I'd rather escape reality and brought into pure fantasy than watching something that could happen.
