This is my idea for a Justice League trilogy, filmed all around the same time like "The Lord of the Rings". I cast older actors for most of the roles, so they'd be more like their comic versions, not cast young for sequels and spin-offs. I would get J.J. Abrams ("Star Trek") to direct and Christopher Nolan ("The Dark Knight", "Inception") as executive producer.
The first film ("Justice League") would begin with Martian Manhunter narrating. He would talk about how their is evil throughout the world and some of the world's greatest heroes had decided to join together to defeat this evil. It would mention that Lex Luthor is President and that Superman had "died" fighting Doomsday, and show where some of the heroes came from. The film would then start, showing a large object (that is hard to make out) hurdling towards Earth. Batman, Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, Atom, and Zatanna would be in the Watchtower and see it approach. M.M. would try to read it's mind and he would instead suffer a seizure. Batman contacts Superman and warns him. Superman and Green Lantern Hal Jordan see the object and try to stop it. They fail and it destroys Coast City, Jordan's home. Everyone within a 50 mile radius is killed. Superman and GL are joined by Wonder Woman and rush to scene. From the crater, something arises: Imperiex. Imperiex attacks the trio and throws GL far away from the battle. Wonder Woman calls for League backup and The Flash suddenly arrives. While still battling the creature, Hawkgirl and Aquaman also arrive. Flash is out and GL still has not returned. Superman though is finally able to subdue the creature, ripping it's head off in a fit of rage. He tells the group on the Watchtower and is told that more are on their way. Superman flies into space, along with Wonder Woman and GL, and attacks the creatures. Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, and Batman in the Batjet also aid in the attack. After a massive battle, the Imperiex's (?) retreat to the moon. Superman orders all Justice Leaguers to meet at the Watchtower immediately.
Superman- Jim Caviezel: I know not an original choice but I think he would be a really good Superman.
Others I considered: Henry Cavill, Jon Hamm.
Batman-Liev Schreiber: Also not quite an original choice but I thought about it and I think he would be a very good Batman. He's kind of got that edge to him.
Others I considered: Christian Bale, Karl Urban, Timothy Olyphant, Eric Bana, Thomas Jane.
Wonder Woman-Jennifer Connelly: Connelly was the only actress I could think of. I went through my whole DVD collection and my IMDb lists and could find no one else. And I'm kinda glad. She'd be a great older Wonder Woman.
Green Lantern Hal Jordan- Mark Wahlberg: Another hard choice. I think Marky Mark would bring a lot of emotionality to the role, a very important role in movie 2.
Others I considered: Ryan Reynolds (yeah right!), Matt Damon, James Marsden.
The Flash(Barry Allen)-Ryan Gosling: Of all the actors I could think of, he seemed like the best fit.
Others I considered: Josh Duhamel, Edward Norton, Chris Pine, Tobey Maguire.
Martian Manhunter-voice of Laurence Fishburne: He would be great as the Martian Manhunter. He's got the perfect voice for it.
Others I considered: Keanu Reeves.
Aquaman-Sean Bean: I was really excited about this pick. I think Sean Bean would be a great Aquaman. He'd show that kind of arrogance that Aquaman has and he's just a really solid actor overall. He'd make the character more interesting.
Others I considered: Jude Law, Leonardo Dicaprio, Russell Crowe, Chris Pine, Daniel Craig.
Hawkman-Hugh Jackman: Yes, I know he's Wolverine but I think this is a really good choice also. He'd be great butting heads with everyone, especially Green Arrow and Superman.
Others I considered: Bruce Willis, Tom Hardy, Chris Pine, Daniel Craig.
Hawkgirl-Olivia Wilde: She's got the build of Hawkgirl and is a really good actress.
Others I considered: Diane Kruger, Jessica Biel, Sienna Miller, Famke Jannsen,Milla Jovovich.
Atom-Edward Norton: He was really good as Bruce Banner and fantastic in "Fight Club". He'd bring big name appeal to the movies.
Others I considered: Jake Gyllenhaal, Tom Cruise.
Blue Beetle-Ben Foster: Foster was fantastic in "3:10 to Yuma" and that is why I chose him. He's a very versatile actor and a rising star.
Others I considered: Tom Cruise.
Zatanna- Gemma Arterton: Um.....she's hot. And a decent actress. She made "Prince of Persia" watchable.
Others I considered: Natalie Portman, Sienna Miller.
Plastic Man-Jim Carrey: Yes, this is my real choice. Plastic Man is not a serious hero and Jim Carrey is not a serious person. He wouldn't have a huge role, but it'd still be an important one.
Others I considered: Ben Stiller, John Turtorro, Adrien Brody.
Back to the story. After several more battles with Imperiex, including aid from Lex Luthor, Imperiex is finally defeated but with a harsh casualty. Aquaman was supposedly killed defending Atlantis. The team is saddened but realize the Earth still needs them. After the credits, Hal Jordan is seen in front of the big lantern that powers the Lantern rings. He is crying. He then becomes angry and steps into the lantern. A massive green flash is seen. Black screen. End of movie.
Movie 2- Justice League: Fallen Hero.
After the events of the first film, Green Lantern Hal Jordan has gone near insane. He cannot handle the fact that Coast City is gone, along with his family and other loved ones. His best friend Green Arrow, and Arrow's girlfriend Black Canary, try to help him with his grief, but it's useless. Jordan cannot take it anymore.
Green Arrow-Brad Pitt: If Pitt were to combine his previous portrayals of Brian Mills in "Se7en" and Tyler Durden in "Fight Club", he'd be the perfect Green Arrow.
Others I considered: Sam Rockwell, Nicolas Cage, Ewan McGregor.
Black Canary-Elizabeth Banks: Banks is a great actress and seems like a good fit for the role.
Others I considered: Ali Larter, Alice Eve, Sienna Miller, Keri Russell.
Jordan has actually become much more powerful than anyone can imagine. He tries to go back in time to prevent the destruction of Coast City, and when the League (who has 2 more members, Vixen and Red Tornado) tries to stop him, they all end up traveling back through time.
Vixen-Rosario Dawson: She's be great as Vixen. She's a really good, serious actress.
Others I considered: Halle Berry, Paula Patton.
Red Tornado-voice of Peter Cullen: Cullen, voice of Optimus Prime, would provide a great voice for an only so-so character.
After several different encounters that could affect the future, including Superman witnessing his death again, everyone ends up Coast City a few minutes before Imperiex originally struck. A massive battle ensues, with Green Arrow finally taking down Jordan by shooting him through the chest with an arrow. Jordan dies and everyone is returned to present day on the Watchtower. After they arrive, a new Green Lantern, John Stewart arrives at the Watchtower. He tells them that he has been selected as the Green Lantern of Earth and ask to join the League. He is accepted with open arms.
Green Lantern John Stewart- Chiwetel Ejiofor: Ejiofor is a phenomenal actor and would also bring a lot heart to his character.
Others I considered: Will Smith, Terrence Howard.
After Stewart meets the other League members, a distress call from Luthor (still President) comes in. The White House is under attack. Most of the League rush to aid Luthor but Blue Beetle, Vixen(injured), Atom (injured), and Red Tornado stay behind. As Blue Beetle is watching the monitors, he is suddenly shot through the head by Deadshot. Atom hears the gunshot and shrinks. Red Tornado then fights with Captain Boomerang until Sinestro destroys him. Captain Boomerang kills Vixen and Sinestro crushes Atom with his ring. The League arrives at the White House, which appears unharmed, though the Secret Service is running around like crazy. Superman ask what is wrong and they tell him that Luthor is missing. Superman pauses, then flies back into space. The rest of the league follows. After the credits, Luthor is seen looking out into space from the Watchtower. He then turns around and looks at his company.....the Injustice League.

Movie 3-Injustice For All
Superman and the rest of the League arrive at the Watchtower and discover the dead bodies of Atom, Blue Beetle, Vixen, and Red Tornado. Luthor then appears and tells them that everything that's happened(Imperiex, Hal Jordan losing his mind) was planned by him to try and "break" the League. Since that did not work, he gathered a collective group of villains to defeat the JL. A massive battle ensues, with both sides taking casualties. Plastic Man is torn in half and Hawkgirl is beaten to death. Bizarro then causes the Watchtower to split in half. GL Stewart is able to gather all the heroes that can't breath in space. The League retreats back to Earth. The Injustice League board their shuttle's and prepare to follow. Batman orders all JL reserves to meet at the Fortress of Solitude. When the League arrives, they are met by Captain Atom, Black Lightning, Huntress, Booster Gold, Firestorm, Nightwing, and Red Arrow.
Captain Atom-William Fichtner: Fichtner is a great character actor and seems like a good choice.
Black Lightning-Lee Thompson Young: I remember watching him on "The Famous Jett Jackson" and I'm pretty sure he was Cyborg on "Smallville". Anyway, I mostly picked him cause "TFJJ" was my favorite show when I was a kid.
Others I considered: Tyrese Gibson.
Huntress-Megan Fox: She's hot, can maybe beat some people up.....and she's hot. She's not as bad an actress as people think.
Others I considered: Odette Yustman,Milla Jovovich.
Booster Gold-Seann William Scott: SWC is great as the brash, cocky, goof off. But he can also be serious when need be. He'd be an excellent Booster Gold.
Firestorm-Omar Epps
Nightwing-Joseph Gordon-Levitt: I'm not saying he'll be Nightwing in "The Dark Knight Rises". I'm just saying he would make a good Nightwing.
Red Arrow-James Franco: He was OK as Harry Osbourne. But I think he'd be better as Red Arrow.
The League assess the situation and try to figure out the best strategy to defeat the IL. The IJ then arrives and attacks again. Both sides take more casualties and Green Arrow, Hawkman, Firestorm, Huntress, and Captain Atom are all killed. Luthor then retreats with Chronos and Gorilla Grodd. Batman, Flash, and Black Canary follow them. Batman and Canary take down Grodd and Flash confronts Luthor and Chronos. Luthor tells Flash that he plans on going back in time and killing the League members when they are all young. When he tells Chronos to activate the machine to take them back in time, Chronos does nothing. Chronos then turns back to his original self.....Martian Manhunter. MM grabs Luthor, who then kills him. Flash attacks Luthor until he is hit by Solomon Grundy, causing the ice to shatter. Grundy falls into the water. Luthor, filled with rage, pulls out a detonator. He activates it and says that he has rigged every major landmark in the world to blow. It will cause millions to die. Flash and Superman rush to destroy the bombs. Superman is able to deactivate them with his heat vision but Flash can only gather them. With no other options, he runs to the middle of the Arctic Ocean and starts to sink. The bombs then blow up, killing Flash. Wonder Woman nearly kills Luthor until she is finally stopped by Superman and Aquaman. The rest of the Injustice League is rounded up and sent to prison. The remaining League members, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, John Stewart, Zatanna, Black Canary, Black Lightning, Booster Gold, Red Arrow and Nightwing return to the Fortress of Solitude. Superman says that though they have lost many friends, they will not let their sacrifice be in vain. The League will continue to operate. They begin construction on the Hall of Justice. Post credits, Darkseid is seen on Apokolips, smiling evilly.
