So recently I have been noticing that most spidey fans don't want a reboot or is it that they just don't want to see the same old story, instead of focusing on the regular Spider-man story i was thinking how bout they do a new edge in the Spider-man movies why don't they do the marvel noir Spider-man story it would bring a new edge to the silver screen.

I've often thought about the idea of doing a superhero movie in the 1950's or 1930's and i think that seeing a darker Spider-man might be refreshing then seeing the same old lighter Spider-man.

Don't get me wrong i like the original Spider-man as well as the next guy but i think doing the noir universe will be able for us fans to see a new Spidey done way differentially with out having to see the same old story.

P.s. The film should be filmed gritty and dark.

yeah man,i think it would be amazing to see a spider-man film in noir style.
his the most intresting out of the other spider-mans
not as good as the original, but second best.
i think it would work in a animated way as well.

It may be good for the fans, but it's not going to draw in the people that don't read the comics or play the games. It would probably end up with backlash like Transformers had with the hardcore crazies claiming that their childhood has been ruined and call for the death of whoever directed it. I for one would watch it.

i like the idea. I would watch it for sure....as long as the movie made it evident that the story was an adaptation of an alternate universe, then i think it would sell very well...comic book readers or not. But LEEE777 is right especially if Sony were to try to reboot the franchise as making the NOIR version as an original story....it would bust...just as much as what it will probably will do if they are totally starting from scratch as it is. the movie could start out with the lighter spiderman and could then jump to the NOIR universe....

this would be great, except non cb fans would think it was copying the dark knight and that lets go darker trend.
i am not really familiar with noir, but it seems like a good idea
