There is actually a really good science of Superman documentary, which uses some of your theories. Funnily enough, a lot of his powers are not that far fetched, yes improbable, but impossible? No. The only tricky one on the doco was flight, but there are theories to how he could fly, which could be different today seeing as was made years ago.

A lot of people don't like the armour aspect, although it is more like Kryptonian material which is really strong. However I just see it as a comicbook excuse to explain why he doesn't need to change his costume after every battle, plus prefer his suit being part of his heritage rather than made on Earth.

Lastly, just as a tip for future vids, not sure how experienced you are, but some graphics or different pictures when talking about different aspects. Oh and sometimes you come across like you don't have a script.

Don't want to sound like having ago, as overall good video and great for your first. Just me when I started in video I was the same, so keep it up.

While I could offer my whole take on how Superman should be and/or could be rebooted, I think each alteration works, including this one.

@fangz

I think you have a good point with how Superman might be if he becomes comfortable with what he knows and that we would then have to evaluate how things changes him. It's probably the most important feature to all of the origination of any comic book character, their personality. How do you define it as real? The abilities can matter, sometimes, but if they were simply left to the explanation of being alien, however relevant to us on Earth, I would have no quarrel with that. Of course, I would commend more thought, so there should be no deterrence there.

@Hybrid0027

I think in regards to @fangz comment on how Superman would act, one should take into consideration the roots of what has made this character so great, similarly to how you've referenced past versions. So if Superman were to know all of the things he knows about Earth being Krypton's ancestor that would fill me up with so much doubt at times. To watch people, the human race, wither away and destroy the very Earth they mean to live on. Superman could be head strong, knowing for certain that's how things will play out, but maybe he grows tired and more importantly isolated from always being cast aside in regards to "ridiculous" opinions. The idea here is that Superman is always able to see the bigger picture, and how much bigger can you get when it's the eminent fate of the world? So his logic behind most things is, "Don't do that because it will lead to an ultimate doom (of some sort." Maybe he doesn't have any particular fear, so to speak, but perhaps he's afraid of seeing the same fate occur knowing he did nothing to stop it?

Of course, this could chart a journey for the Man of Steel and while I'm not sure what age you would choose for him to embrace this untimely truth, I feel it would be good for him to attempt to change the world, as Clark Kent, in Smallville. He has powers and abilities, but he tries to use them sparingly (as to not draw suspicions). So his greatest power is his voice. To be able to talk to people. But as a kid he tries too hard with this, possibly attempting to "convert" people to a new way of thinking. So that's where he could develop this sort of isolation. Not to become too involved because of the constant reminder certain habits are. And maybe this is a point where the guidance of the Kents or even Lois Lane becomes a strong front-runner in the sense that they show Superman that Krypton's fate is only one possibility. Maybe there's some light shed on the subject where Superman's presence alone is hope. That instead of hoping others will change simply through his voice and warnings (a parallel to Jor-El, maybe?), he has to couple it with his actions. Only there's the idea that actions speak louder than words, so in his case he acts (as Superman) and speaks as well. This would reinforce the whole Big Blue Boy Scout thing because he wouldn't just be doing the thing "that's right," he'd be doing it because it means a whole lot of difference on a greater scale.

Just a thought.

I saw this article a while ago on my fan site page articles but I still have yet to watch your video... I'm a huge superman fan and I'm only writing this comment because I want to save it to my articles that I have commented on so I can see it when I'm not that busy. I have posted before on numerous other articles that I also want to make a superman film trilogy reboot and I'm still writing out my outline but I've got so many Ideas I'm trying to see what fits best in my outline for a Superman trilogy. I've also got a crazy fan fic idea about DC characters during the middle ages and like the golden age, silver age, bronze age I would probably call it the dark ages. I was thinking about depowering Superman for that idea so he wouldn't be to powerful and making Batman almost like an assasin. I know it might make most of these hero's almost like killers but they do it for a reason...

this is my comment reaction to the video...

what I liked was that they should make a new origin to his story but nothing to crazy like making earth krypton or having a civil war. I like the idea that Krypton is highly advanced but having them blow themselves up would be kinda redundant. In my idea it should be Brainiac that would blow up krypton wanting something that the kryptonians have and Jor-El sends it with his son Kal-El. The things about his powers should be that he has a different DNA than us and that evolution has taken a different course than us, this can help describe his powers. The thing about red sun's and yellow sun's is that ,just like kryptonians, if we were in different sun areas, we would take different levels of energy. I'm not sure what you said about aura's but it seems like you were talking about magnetic field?

I personally like the new Superman 52 because it was somewhat new but also not so different to the original. I understood the first arc and I loved it. How people dislike superman because they believe he's the sole reason for why the problems happen, but they soon realize that they need him just as much as he needs them. The suit has a pretty cool design, the idea how it forms onto his body is intresting.

But I like these man... keep making these.
