My Way: Ultimate Spider-Man Animated Series
How this Disney XD animated series could have been handled. This will be more serious while having the comedic quips one who expect from a Spider-Man show.
Story: 1 year after what was dubbed “the Ultimate Incident” which shook the superhero world apart 18 year old Spider-Man teams up with Shadowcat and the Human Torch to fight crime while dealing with how the world is affected with this incident.
Main characters
Peter Parker/Spider-Man: the 18 leader of the main trio who while having matured since the Ultimate Incident is still the wise cracker he usually is. His costume will be similar from the Amazing Spider-Man movie.
Johnny Storm/Human Torch: 19 years old and a former member of the now disbanded Fantastic Four and is now Peter’s new best friend. His costume is that of the Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes show.
Kitty Pryde/Shroud: 17 year old former member of the X-Men as Shadowcat who Spider-Man had met and teamed up with before. She now goes by the vigilante name of Shroud and has gotten together with Peter. Her costume is the Stuart Immonem Shadowcat costume from the Ultimate Spidey books.
May Parker: Peter’s aunt who here has known Peter’s secret from the beginning and allows Johnny and Kitty to stay at their house.
Minor characters
J. Jonah Jameson: the owner and former publisher and editor in chief of the Daily Bugle who has since become mayor of New York City. He now is bringing forth a stance against vigilantes including Spider-Man’s trio.
Henry Peter Gyrich: the new Director of SHIELD after Nick Fury’s disappearance shortly after the Ultimate Incident. He has agents use force against any heroes, vigilantes or superpowered people not working for SHIELD.
Miles Morales: a young 14 year old boy who gained Spider powers shortly before the Ultimate Incident. SHIELD persuaded him into signing up for them as SHIELD’s own Spider-Man.
The Avengers: the world famous team of Heroes who were founded by SHIELD before the Ultimate Incident as the Ultimates to be a superpowered strike force. They have serpated themselves from SHIELD and have been given a presidential pardon to continue protecting the Earth while separate from SHIELD a fact that annoys Gyrich greatly. Their line up currently includes Captain America (in a version of his costume from the First Avenger movie), Iron Man (using the Mark 42 from Iron Man 3), Cap’s girlfriend Black Widow, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.
Logan: the former Wolverine who is now retired from the superhero business but is still willing to fight against injustice when he sees it. He shared a close relationship with Kitty before the Incident which has progressed to the point that he now sees Kitty as his daughter and he has warned Peter about treating her right.
Villains
Norman Osborn/the Green Goblin: Spider-Man’s own nemesis from before the Incident and has been in SHIELD captivity since then. He uses the monster Hulk like form and the purple cloak from the Ultimate comics plus the Glider like the show and Earth-616.
Nitro: a mutant who had a role in creating the Ultimate Incident. He has the appearance from the Wolverine and the X Men show.
Kraven the Hunter: an old enemy of Spider-Man who has been injected with the DNA of a cheetah, leopard and a lion. He has the tiger like form from the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon.
“The Dark” X Men: after the X Men went their separate ways, Cyclops went insane due to the events including the death of his girlfriend Jean Grey (which he blames Logan for) and Professor X. He then recruits Emma Frost, Sabretooth, Gambit, Domino and Namor into his new version of the X Men adopting a mindset similar to the now late Magneto. Cyclops uses his costume from the Wolverine and the X Men cartoon.
Mac Gargan/Scorpion: another one of Spidey’s enemies who had the Scorpion DNA in him mutated to the point where he now resemble more like a Scorpion and needs to regularly use a drug to keep control of his mind. He has the appearance from the Amazing Spider-Man game.
Aaron Davis/the Prowler: Miles’ uncle and a cat burglar who uses a technological suit for his thefts. He has the look of the Ultimate version of the Prowler.
Flash Thompson/Venom: Peter’s old school bully has since the incident gotten expelled from Midtown High and has now been bonded to the long lost Symbiote which hadn’t been seen since Peter ditched it during his first year as Spider-Man.
Dennis Carradine/Electro: Uncle Ben’s killer had been in jail since he was caught but escaped during the Ultimate Incident. Max Dillon was killed during the incident and his DNA was used by criminal scientists to turn a voluntary Carradine into the 2nd Electro. He has the appearance from the Ultimate comics and the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man sequel.
Advanced Idea Mechanics: a technological terrorist group where the members wear yellow radiation suits and each member is required to have a high IQ.
“The Master Planner”: an unknown threat watching Spidey’s team. All that is known is that Nitro is now apparently working for him, has ties to AIM and he may have had a role in setting up the Ultimate Incident. The only description we have seen of him so far is someone in a chair facing a monitor and is using a deep voice.
Ultimate Incident
The main incident that set up the plot and happened a year before the events of the show. One of the things that lit the incident was the villain Nitro causing an explosion that caused civilians to die and a prison break in New York. The incident spread over into riots in several cities. There had been different heroes and villain casualties including members of the X Men (Including Jean Grey who had to be killed by Wolverine when she was possessed by the Phoenix). The Mutant terrorist Magneto was killed by Wolverine in this incident when he attempted to force the Phoenix into working for him and to use the riots to his advantage in forcing in a new world order run by Mutants. The mysterious Master Planner may have had a key role in planning the incident. This incident borrows elements form the Civil War storyline and the Ultimatum event from the Ultimate books. People missing since the event and are presumed dead includes several members of the X Men, Harry Osborn, Mary Jane Watson and Susan Storm and Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four.
Episodes of Season 1:
1. Beginnings: 1 year after the events of the Ultimate Incident Spider-Man is still at work fighting crime while avoiding cops trying to arrest him on order of Mayor Jameson. He soon meets fellow heroes the Human Torch and Shroud and they may need working together to defeat Nova the villain who helped start the Ultimate Incident.
2. Teamwork: the newly formed trio are trying to get used to living in the same house as they have to deal with Scorpion and Kraven the Hunter teaming together.
3. The Green Goblin: the trio has to deal with the return of Norman Osborn the Green Goblin as SHIELD are after the Trio to make then register with them.
4. Claws of the Wolverine: the Trio meets Kitty’s father figure Logan as they encounter Cyclops who seems to have adopted the mentality of Magneto.
5. Clash of the Spiders: the team clashes with SHIELD yet again as they seemed to have obtained their own Spider-Man!
6. Venomous: Flash Thompson has now bonded with the lost Symbiote and calling himself Venom he goes on a spree against Spider-Man believing him to be responsible for his life going down the drain.
7. The Goblin Returns: Peter remembers of his old friends Harry and MJ as the Goblin returns to try and get him to replace his lost son.
8. Mutant Movement Part 1: Cyclops with his new team of X Men attack a press conference by Mayor Jameson and has given an ultimatum for New York City to surrender to them or be destroyed.
9. Mutant Movement Part 2: the team has help from the Avengers to try and stop Cyclops’s X Men from laying siege onto New York.
10. Prowl of the Prowler: A cat burglar called the Prowler has stolen top secret plans from SHIELD the Team and SHIELD’s own Spider-Man are on the case.
11. Date Night: Peter and Kitty are on a late night date which comes under threat as he inexplicably get involved in a gang war having to sort it out without their costumes or equipment.
12. Advice: After failing to apprehend the Prowler Miles seeks Peter for advice who shares him stories of when he met Johnny and Kitty plus his origin whiles Miles shares stories of his life including how he got his powers.
13. The team is invited to visit the Avengers at their mansion, but this visit is interrupted by an attack by AIM soldiers with a mysterious Master Planner watching.
14. Prowler’s Night Part 1: the mysterious master Planner has hired the Prowler to rob from Jameson’s office at City Hall and so the Team and Miles have to stop him – if the Police will let them get near City Hall!
15. Prowler’s Night: the four have made it into City Hall and now have to battle Prowler and Miles is in for a shock when he discovers who it really is!
16. The Hunter’s Prey: Kraven is back hunting Mutants so that he could have a challenge, but the team have to deal with him while suffering from lack of sleep.
17. Back in Black: due to a battle with Venom Peter gets possessed by the Symbiote again and is now on a rampage, Johnny and Kitty have to take him down somehow without killing their friend.
18. Escape from the Triskellion: the team falls for a trap by SHIELD and are locked up in the SHIELD Triskellion until they agree to register with them; they have to find a way to escape Die Hard style!
19. Scorpion’s Sting: the Scorpion has returned and is now is blackmailed into working for a Maggia boss so he can use the drug to keep him from losing his mind. The team has to take him back into custody before the Maggia uses his DNA to create an army of scorpion hybrids.
20. Electro: the Spidey villain Electro has seemingly returned from the grave but as they discover this new Electro is really the killer of Peter’s uncle Ben!
21. Ultimate Six Part 1: the Green Goblin, Electro, Prowler, Kraven, Scorpion and Nitro have escaped from the Triskellion and have formed the Ultimate Six and Osborn plans to use the Oz drug that turned him into the Goblin into mutating New York City. The Team have to ally with Miles, Logan and the Avengers to stop them!
22. Ultimate Six Part 2: the battle against the ultimate Six continues and in the climax Peter faces his nemesis Osborn in one big confrontation.
Post credits scene of the final episode of season 1:
Nova goes to a high tech base and is met by the Master Planner. “The formula of Osborn’s Oz drug as you wanted!” Nova tells him as he given him a disc. “This will work wonders for our guests!” the Planner laughs darkly as it is shown he has in suspended animation......Harry Osborn and Mary Jane Watson!
