Well lets see here, Bane I feel is the greatest villain of all time. He gave Batman the fight that no one else could ever give him. He ultimately pushed Batman to his limits unlike any other villain and in the fact, made history as the back-breaking Bane. He showed the comic industry that there is more to fear than a crazed clown running the streets of Gotham. Don't get me wrong, I love the joker, but my admiration solely consists with Bane. He is the only villain that could keep up with The Batman both physically and mentally. No other villain except Ra's Al Ghul has ever come close to that.
Bane had the intelligence to deduce the identity of Batman right on the spot. Then he gave The Batman one hell of a ride. He surprised Bruce and took Bruce and broke him. He snapped his spine, as if I was snapping a twig. Bane made it look so simple and didn't even seem to try. I do not see the great villain as the one who can fight the hero with his mind. I do not see the great villain as the one that can fight him with his fists, but both. Bane was so smart, he knew that it would have took more than just a strong arm to beat The Batman. This thinking led him to produce one of the greatest Bat-stories of all time: Knightfall.

I hate to bring this up, but everytime I think of "Batman and Robin" and the direction they took with Bane I almost puke. That is how truly sickening it is. I remember talking to my father when I went to see him in prison, and I was talking about Bane and he said "Yeah that is because he doesn't have a brain in his head." Thanks to that stupid Schumacher film, a lot of people were introduced to a Bane that was wrong entirely. Some people today still have it in their minds that he is a mindless monkey because of that movie. They totally destroyed the character and disappointed so many fans with that train wreck they called Bane.

Well after that long scar in Bane's medial history, Bane was announced as the newest villain beside Catwoman for the 2012 follow-up film to "The Dark Knight","The Dark Knight Rises." There are no words to describe just how extremely relieved I was to find this out. First thing I thought was, now the world will get a taste of the REAL Bane that people should have experienced in the last film. I am not at all worried about how Nolan is going to do this because Nolan has one hell of a plan that was laid-out since the beginning.

So many people(including myself at times) are stressed that "The Dark Knight Rises" will take the same direction as "Spider-Man 3." I say that with a slight ray of light, that it won't. Nolan is fully aware of his plan, whereas, Raimi just did as he went which turned out to be his biggest downfall for his(unknown at that time) final installment of Spider-Man. Raimi just didn't have the great planning skills that Nolan had with his films. I see great direction in every one of Nolan's films.
As for the casting of Bane, that does make me weary. If Tom Hardy can pull off a Mexican accent or at least pull off the smarts and strengths of Bane, I think he will do. I honestly do think that he will blow our minds as Bane, because Nolan has that affect on people with his villains. Remember when people were unsure of Heath Ledger as The Joker? Look how that turned out. Nuff' said!
I feel Nolan will clear up the mess that "Batman and Robin" left with people about one of the comic industry's greatest villains, and he will show the world a Bane that nobody is prepared for, and at the same time, he will give us a Bane that we all want to show the world that Bane is single-handedly
one of the most dangerous villains of all time.
Well this is enough of my soapbox for now and I say to you now,
Good Day Peeps!!
