Five years before Iron Man 3, Iron Man 1 started off with Tony Stark being abducted by terrorists called the Ten Rings who were led undoubtedly by the Mandarin, Iron Man's arch enemy. After the movie I began viewing everything about Iron Man, his enemies and the Mandarin on how interesting they were, including the armors and Mandarin's rings, lots of fans were so psych on seeing Iron Man and Mandarin battle in Iron Man 3, things were so going to rock but then, came the one thing that SCREWED everything up that instead of doing the Mandarin properly with cosmic rings, the producer Kevin Feige and director Shane Black ripped everyone off by purposely screwing up and violating the character's name and appearance over some rotten and stupid twist idea and slandering that name onto the wrong person, Aldrich Killian, who does not look or do anything like the Mandarin does at all in the comics. Mandarin always wears uses 10 cosmic power rings, NOT extremis and certainly DOES NOT wear tatoos, especially dragon shaped tattoes. Having to rip us off with this damn twist instead off doing the character properly from the comics was TOTALLY selfish for Kevin Feige and the rest of Marvel Studios to do to us. It's like their minds were possessed by something or something must have been screwing with their heads keeping them from doing the Mandarin. The only question is what the heck could have made them go screwing up the best villain in the comics by not doing him properly over such nonsense?
Was it because of how possessed their minds were on reality?
Were they just too much into extremis because of its healing properties along with its strength and speed enhancements?
Was it too hard to keep track of the projection from each of the rings?
Were their minds infected by the damn twist from the Dark Knight trilogy?
Did they lose their expertise of special effects engineering like they did for Iron Man's repulsor blasts and the lightning projections from Thor's Hammer including the Tesseract's disintegration beams?
Or were they too bothered by the beard that the Mandarin has on his face?
Well what was it?
And for all users who are continuously objective about the wrongs of the twists, please do not disagree because your disagreements on the Mandarin twist and the need to have Ben Kingsley return as the new and properly ring powered Mandarin for Avengers 2 is because how much more irritating it is for fans like me to bare. And if you suggest that I among many of the upset fans should let it go and walk away, please don't because of the past 5 years many of us fans have spent since Iron Man 1 waiting for the Mandarin to appear to fight Iron Man, everything that led up to this point from Phase 1 has now become a waste because of the producers twisting the character like that in a way that does not make any sense at all like everything in the past films has fallen out of place and if any of you objective users tell us that the rings are no big deal, then you are just going to make things a lot worst then it has from Shane Black calling Aldrich Killian MCU's Mandarin when he is not the character at all! It also shows that none of you understand anything about the character at all.
I'm not telling you this because of how upset or how unfair it was for the Marvel Studios producers to ignore doing the character properly as done from the comics and past animated shows. It's because of how hurtful it was for Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige to go ruining the best Iron Man villain by ripping him off on us over their own issues that it ruined and had hurt a part of us as well like there is nobody we can permanently rely on anymore for movies. And if you want to know why the Mandarin was one supervillain that Marvel should NOT have violated on us other than being Iron Man's arch enemy, I'll be glad to explain it to you.
The rings are what make the Mandarin one of the best, one of the coolest, most majestic, most treasuring, most epic, most interesting, and most awesome villains in the Marvel Comics is because each of the rings possess a variety of magic, powers, and ability individually which allows the Mandarin to do almost everything in the world and if you think that it was worth ripping us off on the character? Absolutely NOT!
That is why I among fans are counting on Joss Whedon to reintroduce Ben Kingsley's character Trevor Slattery as the new and properly renewed Mandarin for Avengers 2 not just because he was the more properly depicted Mandarin of Iron Man 3 and survived, but because of how Aldrich Killian ruined his life not just by giving him plastic surgery and by dressing up as the Mandarin but mostly by making him look like a real treatening terrorist to the whole world on the media, it would give him the more proper modavation on becoming the Mandarin we truely deserve to see done right in the Marvel Cinematic Universe thus saving us a lot of time having to wait for a reboot, and even though he may have turned up a complete joke but that doesn't mean you should give on him. No way period because of how major the Mandarin is with power rings, they certainly wouldn't go violating him over their own excuses, especially when it comes to leaving a few breadcrumbs left un swept which in this case is Trevor Slattery the Mandarin. Plus there is definately a way on how Joss can get the Mandarin to fit into the Avengers sequel, other than just ringing him up with real cosmic power rings, but also by making him the leader of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Master's of Evil which will consist on other villains that survived in the past films such as Abomination, Crossbones and perhaps Kurse. Joss Would indeed bring Kingsley back as the proper Mandarin not just to fix what the IM3 twist ruined but alots to express how one's personal demon like Aldrich Killian's for example could become a greater threat than the creator himself if brought into reality like Frankenstein's monster, and it would also be one very good motivating reason for Tony Stark to come back to the Avengers as Iron Man in armor and not by remote controlling the suit like he did on Mark 42 which i find very facinating as well as Ben Kingsley's Mandarin, Rhody's War Machine armor being rebranded as Iron Patriot in a very good way, as well as Tony's entire Iron Man armor collection, especially Igor. Anyway Joss would not just go and rush RDJ's character into rejoining the Avengers so soon. No, not without a very motavative reason, which is why I hope the Mandarin (Trevor Slattery) would returned evolved into the more powerful supervillain we all know respectively from the comics because in Iron Man 3 the Mandarin was resulted from one of Tony's greatest mistakes which in this case, Aldrich Killian, so even though Black made Aldrich the MCU interpretated Mandarin, there is still hope that Trevor Slattery will return as the new Mandarin not to overwrite but to succeed Killian as his own personal demon coming to life for the Avengers to fight for real. In the mean time, we shall wait and see for what Whedon has planned.
