REBOOT: In the inner computer world of Mainframe, a guardian program sprite and his friends defend the system from threats from viruses and the User.
As a Canadian, I have to love this Canadian show. I haven't watched it in years and honestly I'd probably hate it if I watched it now so I wont ruin it by revisiting the show lol.
Bob - Patrick Wilson.
I love this guy, he's awesome and definitely one of my favorite actors, I think he'd be able to bring a lot to the role of Bob. There were quite a few other actors I was considering but I feel like patrick would be the one best suited for it.
Bob is a Guardian from the Super Computer. He is formally designated Guardian 452 and is the protector of Mainframe from its various internal and external threats. His Key Tool is named Glitch. The Guardian motto is "To Mend and Defend," and Bob takes pride in doing just that. He is always trying his best to keep Mainframe's enemies at bay.
Phong - Randall Duk Kim.
What can I say, Randall is Phong, I think of his character in the Matrix movies and that's basically Phong exactly. No other explanation needed.
Phong is the oldest sprite living in Mainframe and is the cities benevolent leader. He lives in the Principal Office where he serves as the System Administrator and Keeper of the Core. He is somewhat evocative of Confucius, often dispensing advice in the form of confusing and vague philosophical quotes gleaned from old README files. Very fond of Pong, he used to have a rule that one must defeat him at the game to be considered worthy of his knowledge.
Dot Matrix - Jennifer Connelly.
Dot Matrix is a sprite living in Mainframe. She is the daughter of Welman Matrix, and the sister of Enzo Matrix, and latter Little Enzo. Dot is extremely organized, always having a plan for any situation. She is a business woman, owner of Dot's Diner and business partner in several other businesses in Mainframe, including Al's Wait & Eat and opening business with the Saucy Mare. Dot carries an organizer to keep track of all her businesses, to the point where Bob wonders if there is a business in Mainframe she doesn't own.
Enzo Matrix (Young) - Logan Lerman.
I realize that Lerman is older than Enzo in the show, but I think that if this ever was made into live-action that you'd have to make Enzo older for it to work. I think Logan would make a perfect Enzo, his manneurisms are so much like Enzo's that it's crazy.
Enzo Matrix is a sprite living in Mainframe. He is the son of Welman Matrix, the younger brother of Dot Matrix, and latter the older brother to Little Enzo. When he was a young sprite his father was nullified when Mainframe's Twin City was destroyed. He lived with his older sister, Dot Matrix, at Dot's Diner. Enzo idolized Bob when the Guardian came to Mainframe to help protect the city.. He was the envy of the little sprite and Enzo dreamed of being a Guardian just like Bob. Enzo's pet and best friend was a dog named Frisket. Despite his small stature Enzo was very brave, always ready to go into a Game Cube or face Megabyte or Hexadecimal. Enzo also had a habit of greeting Bob by tackling him to the ground.
AndrAla (Young) - Emily Browning
AndrAIa is a Game Sprite and originally from the Treasure of Atlantis Game. She has spiny fingernails that will paralyze anyone she touches with them. They are capable of growing at will, and when AndrAIa is an adult she is capable of firing them. AndrAIa is classified as an Artificial Intelligence Game Sprite, meaning that her fighting ability is dependent on her ability to problem solve. AndrAIa lived in the savage wilderness of the Games and considered herself a warrior for surviving there.
Enzo Matrix (Old) - Brandon Routh.
I realize that a lot of people here don't like Brandon but I do, I enjoyed his performances in every movie he's been in so far. He would fit perfectly as an older Enzo, I think Routh could really pull off that rugged, tough, arrogant, persona that is the adult Enzo.
Enzo and AndrAIa grew up fast in the Games, both had compiled up faster due to Game-Time and were near Bob and Dot's ages. They continued using Game Cubes to go from system to system searching for a system with ports to the Net so they could return home. Enzo grew distant and bitter about their lives. Battling games constantly he grew massive muscles and found a Gun on his travels. He replaced his damaged eye with a targeting implant and linked it to his new Gun. Enzo also stopped calling himself Enzo, believing it to be too weak, reminding himself of his younger self. He started calling himself by his last name, Matrix. He also stopped calling himself a Guardian, referring to himself as a renegade.
AndrAla (Old) - Olivia Wilde.
Olivia Wilde is a great actress and she would play the tough and beautiful character of AndrAla perfectly.
AndrAIa matured a great deal and became a very smart and savy person, with a very good sense of humor. She didn't take things a seriously as she had, and understood the world of the Net much better. Enzo became pessimistic and suspicious of everyone, he also started calling himself Matrix, so she usually is his voice of reason. They also admitted their feelings for each other, as she regularity sweet talks with him we they are alone and occasionally calls him Lover. Where when she is separated from Matrix, she gets very lonely.
Megabyte - Michael Clarke Duncan.
Michael Clarke Duncan to me IS Megabyte, he always will be, he fits perfectly, no one else could do this role like Michael could. I picture them not doing Megabyte in CGI but giving him and actual armor suit like they did with Darth Vader.
Megabyte is a power-hungry and ambitious virus from Mainframe. He is impeccably dignified, however, and always wants to make a good impression, even when he is trying to infect the Super Computer. However, he is very cruel, punishing his servants and taking joy in the pain of his enemies. Megabyte can infect most anyone as long as he can get to their PID. He is incapable of infecting a city's leader, such as Phong.
Hexadecimal - Glenn Close.
I realize that Hexadecimal is suppose to be Megabyte's twin sister, and there quite an age gap between her and Michael Clarke Duncan but where her character has a mask for a face I don't think it would be a problem. When I think of Close as Hexadecimal, I'm always reminded of her performance in 101 Dalmations.
Hexadecimal is a virus of incredible power and unpredictable insanity from Lost Angles. She is the undisputed Queen of Chaos, programed to cause chaos and malfunction within a computer program. Hexadecmal's face is a white mask that changes from one expression to the other without moving her lips when she talks. It changes as frequently as her unpredictable emotions do.
Hack & Slash - Johnny Knoxville.
I think Johnny could pull off the tough but dumb brute role really well and obviously Hack and Slash would be CGI so his appearance isn't a problem.
Hack is a red robot built by the virus Megabyte. He is always teamed with Slash, a virtually identical robot except for the fact that Slash is blue, and Hack has a higher voice than Slash. They were built with so much weaponry and brawn inside them that there was little room for brains. They have fought Bob on several occasions but are always easily defeated. Together, they are physically impossible to beat in a fight but their low intelligence often results in them being outwitted. They have been blown apart several times through the years, but are easily rebuilt.
Mouse - Sigourney Weaver
Mouse is a hacker program that is capable of unauthorized access of any system. She speaks with a sugary Southern accent and has fangs. A hacker extraordinaire, she is equipped with a katana to cut her enemies into small pieces and a high-tech craft simply called Ship. Sometimes she is seen with another, smaller sword, but she rarely uses it. Mouse is notoriously difficult to catch, or to keep imprisoned. It is unknown what system Mouse originated from.
