{Author's note: I pushed back my JLA 2 Cast to put this one up, I hope you enjoy}

Doctor Stephen Strange [Height: 6' 2", Age: 30's-40's]: Dr. Stephen Strange was once a gifted, but egotistical, surgeon who sought out the Ancient One to heal his hands after they were wounded in a car accident. Instead, the Ancient One trained him to become Master of the Mystic Arts and the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth.

Hugh Dancy [Height: 5' 10", Age: 38, Notable Works: Hannibal {T.V. Series}, King Arthur, Hysteria]: From the start Hugh was my choice, I wanted to see a different side to Doctor Strange. He's a fantastic actor that brings a great sense of humanity and vulnerability to his characters. No doubt he could play on the character's cocky senses, but would also bring in, what i want to see most, the type of psychologic trauma that would be induced with an exposure to such a different world then what we know of. He's got the style, he's near 40, but he's also young enough to a franchise branch. He is a perfect choice for Strange.

The Ancient One [Height: 5' 11", Age: Unknown {Maybe hundreds of years old}]: Yao, the Ancient One, was once the master of Dr. Stephen Strange,, and Baron Karl Mordo. Upon his mortal death, the Ancient One transcended into the spiritual plane, his soul now becoming a minor cosmic entity, occasionally coming to the aid of his former disciple, Doctor Strange.

Sho Kosugi [Height: 6' 1", Age: 65, Notable Works: Enter the Ninja, Black Eagle, Ninja Assassin]: Sho is a legendary Asian actor, having gain cult fame in various martial arts films spanning some decades, he has recently been seen in the modern martial arts gorno-film Ninja Assassin where he made a commanding performance as the film's main antagonist. He has a certain knowledge to him as an actor that enables him to really shine in this role. He's got a strong sense of wisdom and a sense of strength among his performance that allows him to see beyond scripted scenes.

Wong [Height: 5' 8", Age: Unknown]: Wong was brought to the Ancient One when he was only 4 years old by his father, Hamir the Hermit. While there he became a martial arts master, but doesn't get a chance to practice much as a manservant. Upon reaching adulthood, Wong was sent to America to serve Dr. Strange. While there, Strange has become the new Sorcerer Supreme.

Jon Foo [Height: 5' 8", Age: 31, Notable Works: The Protector, Left For Dead, Tekken]: A pretty damn good actor who would fit perfectly for the role, especially with a great Martial Arts background. He's got strength and nobility and is a proper age to play a young Wong.

Clea [Height: 5' 8", Age: 30's]: Clea is a human-appearing being and maternally related to the other-dimensional Faltine race of energy beings. The daughter of Umar and the niece of the demonic tyrant Dormammu, the noble Clea has been, sporadically, ruler of the Dark Dimension, the mystical realm to which Dormammu had been banished and which he subsequently conquered.

Michelle Monaghan [Height: 5' 7", Age: 37, Notable Works: Eagle Eye, Source Code, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang]: Michelle is a beautiful and wonderful actress. I loved her performance in the deleted scenes of "Constantine" and she did wonderful in Eagle Eye, so I added her in, she was originally my choice for Umar but Michelle was younger then Radha, who was the original choice, so I switched them and I find it much better.

Dr. Sofia Di Cosimo [Height: 5' 10 {Estimated}, Age: 30's]: Dr. Sofia Di Cosimo is the director of Il Museo Della Mitologia Antica (The Museum Of Ancient Mythology) in Rome. She is a world's expert in mythology and archaeology among other subjects.

Gemma Arterton [Height: 5' 7", Age: 27, Notable Works: Quantum of Solace, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time]: A wonderful actress who I think could really bring out the best in this role. She's due for a comic book role and this would be a nice fit.

Eternity [Height: Incalculable, Age: Incalculable]: Eternity is an abstract, nearly omnipotent entity representing all time and reality in the universe. The entity is part of a small cosmic pantheon that represents the three essential forces in the universe, being equity, necessity and vengeance.

Ron Perlman [Height: 6' 1", Age: 63, Notable Works: Hellboy, Season of the Witch, Pacific Rim]: For a being of such magnitude you need the kind of voice you could imagine echoing through time, and Ron works for that. He's a great voice actor in general but he has the timeless sound to him, he would be perfect for the cosmic level entity.

Cassandra Webb/Madame Web [Height: 5' 6", Age: Unknown {Appears to be in her 60's}]: Though Cassandra Webb suffered from a lifetime of blindness and many years of neurological deterioration due to myasthenia gravis, she compensated with her profound psychic abilities, establishing herself as a medium.

Sigourney Weaver [Height: 6' 0", Age: 64, Notable Works: Alien, Ghostbusters, Avatar]: To me, Madame Web is a character that could interconnect Spider-Man and Doc Strange, she has a foot in both worlds. She is a character that is massively well put together and well respected, you need an actress who is that good, respected, and together. Sigourney would no doubt make a perfect Madame Web

Baron Karl Mordo [Height: 6' 1", Age: Mid-Late 40's]: Baron Mordo is an accomplished user of magic who was trained by the Ancient One. He was a long time foe of Dr. Strange.

Mads Mikkelsen [Height: 6', Age: 47, Notable Works: Hannibal {T.V. Series}, King Arthur, Casino Royale]: A wonderful actor who, much like Mordo, is from Eastern Europe. One of the attractions to him as Mordo, outside his spectacular talent, is his friendship with Hugh Dancy {my Strange choice}. He's got a great build to himself, and a very intimidating nature in his performances. He would be perfect for the villain.

Dormammu [Height: Variable, Age: Unknown]: Dormammu is the Ruler of the Dark Dimension, a being of immense mystical power. He uses his vast powers to conquer other universes and dimensions, earning himself the enmity of Doctor Strange in the process.

Sean Bean [Height: 5' 11", Age: 54, Notable Works: Goldeneye, National Treasure, Silent Hill]: Sean is a wonderful actor considered by many as a true legend in the field of acting. I chose him for the role due to his ability to really harness a leadership role as well as access a very menacing type of character. He's must have for a villain.

Umar [Height: 5' 11", Age: Unknown]: Originally a magician from the alien Faltine race, Umar traveled to the Dark Dimension and was briefly its monarch. She is often on conquests and will not hesitate to hurt anybody stopping her from getting power. This trait of hers has brought her into conflict with (then Sorcerer Supreme) Doctor Strange. Strange was the mentor and lover to her daughter Clea, so she often ends up fighting her as well. She is also enemy to Dormammu, the demon who currently rules the Dark Dimension.

Radha Mitchell [Height: 5' 6", Age: 39, Notable Works: Silent Hill, The Crazies, Pitch Black]: Radha is a lovely actress and I love to watch her perform. She was originally supposed to be my Clea Choice but was older then my Umar choice, so I switched and I find it a better idea. To see Radha as a villain would be a delightful treat for any audience.

Beyonder [Height: Variable, Age: Unknown]: The Beyonder is the most powerful being of the mainstream universe. The Beyonder was also a mutant. Exposure of his mutant genes to Terrigen Mists had created an unprecedented reaction, bestowing upon him seemingly godlike abilities and granted him amazing power and knowledge beyond all other Inhumans of his time, and also erased for an unknown reason him from Black Bolt and the Inhumans' memories.

Jude Law [Height: 6' 0" Age: 40, Notable Works: Sherlock Holmes, Road to Perdition, Repo Men]: Jude is a fantastic actor and has yet to make a Marvel appearance, this would be a nice role for him to show up in him. He's certainly due for this type of role after all.

Shuma Gorath [Height: Variable, Age: Unknown]: Purported to rule over hundreds of dimensions, Shuma-Gorath came to the Earth-Realm over 1,000,000 years ago, along with the other Old Ones. There he ruled the ancient Earth and commanded numerous human sacrifices. He and the other Old Ones were banished from the Earth-Realm by the time-traveling sorcerer Sise-Neg. This was all observed by another time-traveling sorcerer, Doctor Strange, who had hoped to defeat Shuma-Gorath in the past so that his master, the Ancient One, would not need to die in a future conflict with the demon.

Robin Atkin Downes [Notable Works: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, All Star Superman, Thor God of Thunder]: His performance as Solaris in All Star Superman is perfect for the voice of Shuma Gorath.

Mephisto [Height: 6' 6", Age: Unknown]: Mephisto is an extra-dimensional demon whose origin is unknown. He rules a fiery pocket dimension that he calls "Hell" or "Hades" although it is neither the hell of the Christian religion nor the Hades ruled by Pluto, the Olympian god of the dead. Mephisto calls his extra-dimensional realm "hell" in order to exploit Earth human beings' belief in a single being of absolute evil, who is often referred to as Satan, who rules such a realm.

Peter Stormare [Height: 6' 2", Age: 60, Notable Works: Constantine, Big Lebowski, Fargo]: His take on Lucifer on Constantine is a beautiful performance, he practically made an Iconic Devil in one small performance, just imagine what he could do as Mephisto with some decent screen time.

Mephista [Height: 5' 10", Age: Unknown]: Mephista is a powerful demon and the daughter of the powerful hell lord Mephisto. Although possessing immense power she is relatively young and inexperienced. One of Mephista's first forays to Earth involved claiming the soul of the Earth sorcerer Baron Mordo. Sent by her father, Mephista would find that the hell lord Satannish also had claims to Baron Mordo's soul.

Monica Bellucci [Height: 5' 7", Age: 49, Notable Works: Shoot 'Em Up, The Passions of the Christ, The Matrix Reloaded]: I'm not gonna lie, Monica is by far one of the hottest women ever, in hollywood and the world. There's a seductive nature to Mephista and it take a quality actress who's very body speaks seduction as much as her attitude, that's why I had to have her as Mephista.

Blackheart [Height: Variable, Age: Unknown]: Centuries of murder in a locale named Christ's Crown, New York, drew the attention of a demon-lord, Mephisto, who created a "son", Blackheart, from the energy of the accumulated evil. Blackheart explored the nature of evil under his father's tutelage, clashing with and failing to corrupt Daredevil and Spider-Man. Mephisto and Blackheart once tormented Daredevil, Brandy Ash, the genetically engineered Number Nine, and the Inhumans Gorgon, Karnak, and Ahura, manipulating their emotions and tricking them. They were soon drawn into Hell for worse torments.

Jason Momoa [Height: 6' 4", Age: 34, Notable Works: Conan the Barbarian, Stargate: Atlantis, Games of Thrones]: I find him to be an enjoyable actor, when he's really guided and directed he turns out a great performance, I think with the right director he could be the definitive Blackheart on film.

Lilin Thomas/Blackout [Height: 6' 3", Age: 30's-40's]: Once a vicious Gangster that fell by the Rider's hand Mephisto bartered his soul in exchange for his service in recapturing the Rider. With his new Vampiric appearance he was given the name Blackout.

Luke Goss [Height: 6’1”, Age: 45, Notable Works: Hellboy II The Golden Army, Blade II, Tekken]: He’s an actor who’s almost perfected villainy, having played Nomak in Blade 2 and Nuada in Hellboy 2 he’s experienced all sides of Villainy to really hammer out a different type of villain. Blade 2 and Hellboy 2 are really all the reason needed to cast Luke as Blackout.

Nightmare [Height: Variable, Age: Unknown]: Nightmare controlled one of the Splinter Realms known as the Nightmare Realm and the Dream Dimension. His interference with mortals often caused him to come into conflict with Doctor Strange. They battled when Nightmare haunted the dreams of Mr.Crang, a corrupt businessman. When Dr. Strange entered Crang's dreams, Nightmare attempted to trap him there, leaving his physical body undefended while Crang, afraid that the secret of his crimes had been found out, would kill Strange. Strange escaped with the help of the Ancient One and managed to escape from Nightmare's dimension.

Jeffrey Combs [Height: 5' 7", Age: 59, Notable Works: Doctor Mordrid, The Freightners, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes]: His film Doctor Mordrid was originally supposed to be an adaptation of the Doctor Strange comic. He was a lock in for me to cast, I just had to find the right role for him, and since it was probably a no-go on casting him as Doctor Mordrid,I decided to find him a malevolence role and Nightmare was the perfect fit.

Stephen Lords/Deathwatch [Height: 6' 1", Age: 40's]: Deathwatch poses in the mortal world as crime boss Stephen Lords. His activities often lead to casualties that he then fed off of to empower himself. He also wanted to gain the position of the Kingpin.

Manu Bennet [Height: 5' 11", Age: 44, Notable Works: Arrow, Spartacus, 30 Days of Night]: Manu is a fantastic actor he's done fantastic performances in everything he's done. I understand Deathwatch is typically a Ghost Rider villain, but I wanted to see Manu in this cast and I felt he would be perfect for this role.

Aggamon [Height: 6' 6", Age: Unknown]: Aggamon was the ruler of the Purple Dimension. Dr. Strange encountered him after two burglars who had broken into his Sanctorum were transported to the Purple Dimension. To free them, he offered himself as a prisoner to Aggamon, but when the burglars had been released, Strange challenged Aggamon to a mystical duel. In the ensuing contest, neither could gain an upper hand, but both of them grew constantly weaker. Fearing that Strange would rather die than surrender, Aggamon gave up and let Strange return to Earth.

Tom Noonan [Height: 6' 5", Age: 62, Notable Works: Manhunter, Monster Squad, Hell on Wheels]: I have never got a chance to cast Tom, and I always wanted to because of what type of versatile actor he is. I really looked and when I decided on Dr. Strange, I found Aggamon was the perfect part to put Noonan in.

Satannish [Height: Variable, Age: Unknown]: Satannish is one of the more powerful demons that the Earth has known. At first, the demon was only part of a great mass of malignant mystical energy, which was divided into an indeterminate number of independent organizations. These organizations acquired their own physical appearance and personalities, whose energies were reinforced by the devotion of their followers. Satannish and Mephisto are two such manifestations. Other manifestations may exist with as of yet unknown identity.

Clancy Brown [Height: 6' 4", Age: 54, Notable Works: Highlander, The Shawshank Redemption, Cowboys & Aliens]: He's a wonderful actor, he's got a great voice and a perfect voice for this role He'd leave a lasting impression as Satannish.

Null The Living Darkness [Height: Variable, Age: Unknown]: Null is a demonic entity created from the collective negative impulses of a seemingly impossibly benign (and now extinct) race called the S'raphh who once lived on Earth's Moon. After achieving full consciousness, it dominated the town of Christiansboro until driven off by the Gargoyle. It subsequently possessed the body of Adam Henderson, using him as a pawn, but was defeated again, this time by the Ghost Rider.[1] Somehow, Null then managed to travel to Earth-712 where it took over the United States with the assistance of the Over-Mind but was driven off and seemingly destroyed by the Defenders and the Squadron Supreme.

Tony Todd [Height: 6' 5", Age: 58, Notable Works: Candyman, Final Destination, Hatchet II]: Tony is a legend with a horror films. He's played Villains and a calling to death. He would have the perfect voice and {in use of Mo-Cap} perfect movements to really live through Null as a character.

D'Spayre [Height" 6' 3", Age: Unkown]: D'Spayre was encountered at the Nexus of All Realities. He captured young sorceress Jennifer Kale and the spirit of her deceased teacher, Dakimh. He tied them both to an arcane tower on the Nexus, trying to use the evil mystic energies of the tower to corrupt his prisoners so that they would use their magic powers to serve D'Spayre. D'Spayre had killed Dakimh's mentor Zhered-Na centuries ago.

Robert Knepper [Height: 5' 10", Age: 54, Notable Works: Prison Break, Transporter 3, R.I.P.D.]: Knepper is the perfect actor for this role. He's a great actor who can really get into the darkness of this character, he works for a character meant to give Strange a hand to hand confrontation. He'd be a rich character to explore in the Strange universe.

Kaluu [Height" 6' 5", Age: Unknown]: Kaluu was born over five hundred years ago in Kamar-Taj, a small area in the Himalayan Mountains in the land now known as Tibet. Kaluu and a youth now known only as the Ancient One became fellow students of the mystic arts.

Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa [Height: 6' 1", Age: 63, Notable Works: Mortal Kombat, Showdown In Little Tokyo, Memoirs of a Geisha]: Cary is a wonderful actor who has been fore a long time a fan favorite for the role of the Mandarin. I chose him for Kaluu for a couple reasons, first and foremost his talent, Cary is a dynamic actor who would be a perfect for the character, Second he nearly matches Sho in age, Kaluu's character is closely allied and a bad guy to the Ancient One.

Director: Directors are responsible for overseeing creative aspects of a film under the overall control of the film producer. They often develop the vision for a film and carry out the vision, deciding how the film should look, in other words they make their vision come to life. They are responsible for turning the script into a sequence of shots. They also direct what tone it should have and what an audience should gain from the cinematic experience. Film directors are responsible for deciding camera angles, lens effects and lighting with the help of the cinematographer and set design with the production designer. They will often take part in hiring the cast and key crew members. They coordinate the actors' moves, or blocking and also may be involved in the writing, financing and editing of a film.

Terry Gilliam (Notable Works: The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Brazil, 12 Monkeys): To make Dr. Strange, you need a director who can look at all dimensions of the character, the scenery, the worlds, the aesthetic of what they have. Terry is one of the most imaginative and dynamic directors to have worked in the industry. He's a dynamic director who would give the definitive Dr. Strange experience.

Original Motion Picture Score: A film score (also sometimes called background music or incidental music) is original music written specifically to accompany a film. The score forms part of the film's soundtrack, which also usually includes dialogue and sound effects, and comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental or choral pieces called cues which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question. Scores are written by one or more composers, under the guidance of the film's director and/or producer, and are then usually performed by an ensemble of musicians – most often comprising an orchestra or band, instrumental soloists, and choir or vocalists – and recorded by a sound engineer.

Graem Revell (Notable Works: Dune, The Crow, Sin City) & Marco Beltrami (Notable Works: The Omen, Hellboy, The Wolverine): I chose the both of them because they have work in the Supernatural, the Comic Book, and the Sci-Fi World, and Doctor Strange's universe is very much an amalgam of those styles. Both are great composers and really capture the essence of other-worldness and get personnel and character driven in their works. No doubt putting them both on Dr. Strange would give the character a definitive sound.

Story: “screen story” credit is given when a screenplay is based on source material, but the screenplay's story is new and substantially different.

J. Michael Straczenski (Notable Works: Strange {Comic Book}, Ninja Assassin, Babylon 5) Jackson Publick (Notable Works: The Venture Brothers {Creator, Writer}, The Tick {Series Writer}) Doc Hammer (Notable Works: The Venture Brothers {Writer}): I trust that Doc Hammer and Jackson are true fans of Doctor Strange, they really have the vibe for it in their shows. But they need to be funneled properly by someone who knows the comic and someone who knows the film world, and for that I want JMS to kind of help funnel the energy into a proper treatment. No doubt the groundwork would be wonderful for the film.

Screenplay: Screenwriters are responsible for researching the story, developing the narrative, writing the screenplay, and delivering it, in the required format, to Development Executives. Screenwriters therefore have great influence over the creative direction and emotional impact of the screenplay and, arguably, of the finished film. They either pitch original ideas to Producers in the hope that they will be optioned or sold, or screenwriters are commissioned by a producer to create a screenplay from a concept, true story, existing screen work or literary work, such as a novel, poem, play, comic book or short story.

Jackson Publick (Notable Works: The Venture Brothers {Creator, Writer}, The Tick {Series Writer}) Doc Hammer (Notable Works: The Venture Brothers {Writer}): With a proper treatment inlay, we have the two who truly want to do Doctor Strange, it wouldn't be the first time they'd take someone who're not familiar writing comic book films, and those risks have been well worth it. When there's someone who's made notebooks on how to do Dr. Strange right, I'm willing to see to his vision.

Thank you for reading my take on the Sorcerer Supreme!

Hugh Dancy owns in Hannibal; never thought much of him before but since that he's becomes one of my favourite actors. Ignoring my little rant, great cast. I'm not too familiar with all of Dr Strange's mythos, but majority of the casting works for me and if the actual film shaped up to be half as good as this I'd definitely see it, nice stuff definite thumbs up!

A lot of greats here. Nice choices. Never thought of Dancy for the Sorcerer Supreme but I like it. And his Hannibal co-star Mikkelson as his arch foe Mordo...I applaud you.
Gilliam has made some of my favorite movies, including The Brothers Grimm and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Needless to say, this former python owns the fantasy genre.

Like I said, I agree with all of your choices. As good as your Clea pick is, I just think that role scream Rose McGowan

Well, I'm glad to see the Embed Image(s)/Image Management is working finally. And a fancast by one of my favorite casters? Sweet!

- I'm not familiar with Hugh Dancy, but I wouldn't mind an unknown for Dr. Strange.
- Ninja Assassin was a crummy movie. But it'd be nice to see one of the actors get a more respected role. Even though I don't know jack about Sho Kosugi.
- I've always wanted to see Michelle Monaghan take a superhero role. Besides Wonder Woman, this is a find one here!
- Oh, I never thought of Sigourney Weaver as Madame Web.
- Tim Curry as Dormammu will be my pick as always. But with a voice modulator, Sean Bean could sound like a solid demon!
- I'll be open to seeing Radha play a villain.
- Monica Bellucci is lovely as all Hell. Perfect for a role like Mephista!
- Prince Nauta looks like Blackout, so why argue? And Luke Goss is a pretty underrated actor as well.
- The picks for the voices of some of the demons are pretty solid!
- Not a Robert Knepper hater at all. Nice role you gave him, even though I know little of it. Boo!
- I wonder if Terry Gilliam is capable of doing good movies again. Most of the stuff I seen him do recently is comprised of bombs.
- Great choice of composers!

Overall, a rock-solid cast! Nice to see someone come back and save this site from becoming a borefest.

Really like Hugh Dancy as Strange, but idk about reteaming him and Mikkelsen even though I love them both and they would both be great in their respective roles.

I really dont lke Michelle Monaghan much especially as an extra dimensional being and Im not sure sean bean is sinister enough to be dormammu.

Other than that its a pretty god damn good fancast, I especially like Sigourney Weaver as Madame webb even though idk if Id ever want her to be a part of the spiderman movies, but weaver just screams the part.

Another great fancast man, well worthy of your other prolific casts

Great cast, and honestly I'm just thrilled I'm not the only one who loves vintage Dr. Strange! Only pick I can quibble with is Mitchell as Umar... she's a fine actress, I just don't personally see it. But you make up for it by casting Monica Bellucci who I agree is the hottest thing known to man. Great stuff!

Amazing cast, man.
I really enjoyed this one; you really put thought behind this, which I like. Hugh would be a stunning Doctor Strange. I would love for him to get the role. I also like your Clea choice a lot. You've chosen a great actress who is completely underrated. It's definitely better than the Gemma Ward choice, which was used....a lot. Love Gemma, but she is not right for the role, as far as I am concerned.

Also, I love this cast even more because of Gemma Arterton, who you know I adore.
Fantastic work!

Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelson are amazing in nbc's Hannibal. So those two in the roles of Doctor Strange and Baron would be amazing. You nailed the casting great stuff.
