I can't think of anything to say, so let's get started!
My choice for director: David Fincher (Fight Club, Se7en, The Social Network)
Fincher is a fantastic director and his style seems well-suited to give us a proper Daredevil film.
Daredevil
Guy Pearce
(Memento, L.A. Confidential, Prometheus): A lot of people want Michael C. Hall for the role (I'm not one of those people) but I had to go with one of my favorite actors, Guy Pearce. He reportedly was up for the role during pre-production of the previous Daredevil film but wasn't interested in wearing a red leather outfit for the role. Hopefully he's changed his stance (or gone broke and needs the money).
Elektra
Evangeline Lilly
(Real Steel, The Hurt Locker, The Hobbit): I actually had a hard time casting Elektra. I'm not a fan of the most popular choice (Olga Kurylenko) but also, that's not very creative if I just went with all the popular picks....ignore this when we get to Foggy Nelson and Stick. Lilly's a pretty decent actress and while I'm pretty sure she hasn't really done any Elektra like action, I'm sure with a little training she'd be great. Did anyone expect Scarlett Johansson to do all the action she did in
Iron Man 2 and
The Avengers so well? I doubt it. And yes, both Pearce and Lilly were in
The Hurt Locker (great movie, btw) but never in the same scenes....heck, they were barely in it. So that's not a problem.
Kingpin
David Morse
(The Rock, The Green Mile, The Hurt Locker):.....I honestly did not realize until I started typing this up that my first three choices were all in
The Hurt Locker . I promise that was an accident. Anyway, when trying to cast Kingpin, I was trying to think of somebody physically intimidating. Morse is 6'4, and no stranger to playing villainous roles. Morse may not have the mass of the Kingpin (who does though?) but he has the expierence and physical presence to play a very convincing Kingpin.
Bullseye
Cillian Murphy
(Batman Begins, Inception, Red Eye): Murphy was excellent as Scarecrow in
Batman Begins and also gave a very creepy performance in
Red Eye. Murphy would be fantastic as Daredevil's psychotic nemesis, undoubtebly a likely scene-stealer.
Foggy Nelson
Sean Astin
(The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Rudy, 24):.....Astin is the spitting image of Nelson and his persona seems ideal for the role. Let's move on.
Ben Urich
Bryan Cranston
(Breaking Bad, Drive, Malcolm in the Middle): Cranston is quickly becoming a household name and is really establishing himself as a dynamic actor. Cranston would absolutely kill it as reporter Ben Urich.
Karen Page
Elizabeth Banks
(The Hunger Games, The Next Three Days, Seabiscuit): Banks is more known for her work in comedies but she has had some pretty good performances in more serious films as well.
Stick
Scott Glenn
(The Silence of the Lambs, Apocalypse Now, Training Day): Don't you love how original this pick is?
Jack Murdock
Michael Madsen
(Reservoir Dogs, Species, Sin City): It's been awhile since Madsen's been in a big movie. This would be a great one to help revive his career.
Mary Murdock
Joan Allen
(The Bourne Ultimatum, Face/Off, The Contender): Allen, a three-time Oscar nominee, bears a strong resemblence to Mary Murdock (and E.T.) and would do well as Matt's nun mother.
