OK, honestly, who doesn't love a good fight scene? I know I do! An epic fight scene can sometimes define a CBM (The Incredible Hulk) or make us laugh at it (Daredevil). Anyways, after reading Ror's fail of a list (sorry man), I decided to my own, but divide it into sub-categories. This is the first in several I hope to do. I'll give what I consider the best and then sit back and watch the sparks fly amongst you fellow fanboys. Cause let's face it: no matter how much of a nuisance some of us may be (Grif, Teabag)we all want the same thing: a good comic book movie. Anyway's, on to the list!

I decided to keep these selections as the fights that were one vs. one/two/three, not a whole big group fight (like the finale of X3 or Fantastic Four).

10. Iron Man 2- Race Track Attack

Sure, it may be a bit short but it does have a lot going for it. We get to see Whiplash use his whips for the first time, Tony use the suitcase armor, and just good 'ol, straight up hand to hand fighting. Tyler Durden would be proud.

9. Spider-Man- Spidey vs. Goblin Final Fight

I had a real hard time putting this at 9 (I wanted to put it higher). I really like this scene and though both Maguire and Dafoe played their roles perfectly here. The only real reason I dropped it to 9 was the constant monologuing by Osborn.

8. Thor- Thor vs. Loki

I thought this was a really strong scene that played on the distinct personalities of of Thor and Loki. I especially like how Loki is portrayed as a "victim" of sorts we (the audience) are meant to pity. Really looking forward to seeing him in "The Avengers".

7. Iron Man- Final Fight vs. Iron Monger

UGH! You'd think a movie that came out 3 years ago would have the final fight scene on YouTube. I'm just gonna assume you all have seen it and know what I'm talking about. The fight between Tony and Stane was really strong, because Stane had been like a father to Tony for so many years, only to turn around and try to kill him. Downey was awesome as usual and Bridges gave, what I thought at least, a really underrated performance. Great way to wrap up a movie.

6. Batman Begins- Batman vs. Ra's

The infamous scene where Ra's may or may not have died....I'm just kidding. He did die. Nolan's not reviving him. Anyway, again another awesome fight scene, with Batman taking on his mentor. Classic scene.

5. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen- Forest Fight

First, YES!!!!, this is a CBM. Second, say what you want about the film and it's many flaws, this fight scene was epic! We really didn't get to see much of Optimus fighting in the first movie (his 1 minute fight w/Bonecrusher and his brief fight with Megatron) but this made up for it. Easily the best scene of the movie (complain all you want, the action scenes with the bots are sick), I just had to stick this in, even though I know some of ya'll will whine and moan about it.

4. The Dark Knight- Batman vs. Joker Final Fight

Sorry, they all have disabled embedding. This was a fantastic scene. I remember when I watched it in theaters and Batman threw Joker off the roof. I immediately thought that Batman had just broken his rule and killed him. Glad he didn't. The scene wraps up nicely with Joker's final parting words for Batman, gloating how he had still won. Chilling.

3. X2: X-Men United- Wolverine vs. Deathstrike

Before I start, just let me say that the opening scene of "X2" is for sure the best of the film. But this is a strong second. We finally get to see Wolverine go 1 on 1 with someone who can hold their own in a fight with him (and not like that crappy fight with Sabretooth in "X-Men". Wolverine vs. Mystigue should never top Wolverine vs. Sabretooth). While Deathstrike had pretty much no character development whatsoever in the rest of the film, seeing her take on Wolverine the way she does makes up for it.

2. The Incredible Hulk- Hulk vs. Abomination

Just an awesome, awesome fight scene. Made the movie.

1. Spider-Man 2- Train Fight

This is what a CBM fight scene should be. This felt like it was right out of the comics. Fantastically done scene by Raimi.

Anyway, that's my first list. Check back next week! And please comment below.

Thor vs. Loki is one of the worst fights. Only the end where Thor destroys the rainbow bridge is nice.

1st spider-man 2 - spidey vs doc ock
2nd the incredible hulk - hulk vs abomination

5th spider-man - spidey vs the green goblin
6th iron man - iron man vs the iron monger
7th x-men 2 - wolverine vs lady deathstrike

transformers revenge of the fallen shouldn't even be classed as a comic book movie fight, the original concept of transformers was a cartoon to sell toys.

it never started life as a comic book.

batman begins & the dark knight feature the worst fight scenes ever, they better not win.

@ teabag

people think you can't have a poll without featuring "the best cbm ever" more like "the most overrated cbm ever",the dark knight rises might feature a decent fight.

iron man 2 featured iron man & war machine vs whiplash
& drones,it may of been short but its still better than the fights batman begins or the dark knight.

what about the black widow scene at the end of iron man 2.

@marvel72- Why most overrated? Because it was the most successful? Oscar AND Emmy nominated? It was and still is the best CBM ever, and this is coming from a die hard Marvel fan....

@Superguy: I actually haven't seen "300". plan to though.

@teabag: I actually had the DD/Kingpin fight and Wolverine/Barackapool fight as 11 and 12.

@marvel72: I loved the Black Widow scene. but I didn't add it because she was just fighting a bunch of cronies.

@dmm5: me too. Marvel fan, favorite ever is "TDK".

Hulk vs. Abomination all the way. That is one of the greatest fight scenes in CBMs or movies in general.

Am I like the only one who doesn't think the train scene was all that great? Maybe I just couldn't get over Dr. Octopus. Just couldn't take him seriously. Or maybe I was upset that he was able to have such a fight considering he is a human and the extra arms are robots. Then has to save the train and everyone is like "we'll keep your secret guy we don't know by any other name but Spider-Man."
I think I was just upset with the villain and it just pulled me out of the moment and everything became too cgi and corny for me.
Hulk, Thor and Wolverine (Spider-Man & Goblin and Iron Man & Whiplash) were good. The rest I found flaws in or I would just not really consider them a fight or stuff just happened to happen and didn't actually fit the characters. Yes, some were exciting climaxes but not really fights.
