Scene 7
Senses
(Mrs. Andrew’s room after school detention.)
(the room is dead silent, except for the sound of the clock ticking. Peter is drawing a picture of spiders, while flash is blowing chewing gum bubbles)
MA.- alright, 4:30, you boys are free to go.
(Peter rushes out of the room and down the hall. Flash is far behind him following him with an angry look on his face. Peter exits the school and makes a run for it. He stops in an alley way to catch his breath when Flash comes up behind him.)
Flash- You think you’re pretty funny Parker huh?
Peter- Look Flash, I don’t want any trouble.
Flash- Yeah, well you should’ve thought of that before you got me detention.
(flash throws a punch. The camera goes into slow motion. It zooms into the back of peter’s neck, which a couple of hairs start to vibrate intensely. Peter grabs Flash’s fist which breaks on impact of peters hand. Flash yelps in pain. Peter punches Flash, sending him flying across the alley. Peter looks at his hand while backing up into the street. A biker nearly hits him when the hairs start to shake violently again. Peter does a large flip and lands on a wall.)
Biker- watch it man!
(peter stays attached to the wall for a couple of seconds before noticing he is on the wall. Once again, he looks at his hands and notices tiny little hairs on them. He looks up the wall and puts one hand on it, then the second. He begins to climb the wall with a half scared half excited look on his face. When he reaches the top, the camera pans around the street below.)
Peter- What the hell is going on?!
(Peter gets off the ledge and lays back on the roof of the building.)
Peter (whispering)- What is this? The climbing, the sticky hands, the extreme reflexes… (peters eyes widen. The camera goes to an animation scene of spiders doing various things while the voice of Gwen echoes the speech of how the spiders were genetically mutated and enhanced.)
Peter- Holy crap, I’m a, I’m, a spider!
(cut to Peter jumping around the city on rooftops and climbing walls)

(cut to a shot of Peter outside of his house at night. He enters. The house is dark. He goes into the kitchen to find a note on the fridge, “Peter, dinners in the oven. At least take the trash out.” Peter goes outside with a garbage bag and looks up at a spider web on his house with a spider in it.)
Peter- Hey there little buddy.
MJ- Talking to Spider’s now are we?
(Peter quickly turns his head to find MJ on the other side of his fence.)
Peter- Oh, hey MJ. (Peter walks over to her.)
MJ (Looking up at the sky)- Nice night, huh?
Peter- Yeah, lot of stars in the sky.
MJ- They’re beautiful aren’t they? The stars?
Peter- Yeah, they’re, pretty.
MJ- I wish I could go into space, just to escape it all, you know? See the unexplored, vast universe, see the planets and stars, that would be something.
Peter- That would be pretty cool. Say what are you doing out here anyway?
MJ- Just getting some air.
Peter- Dad’s drunk again?
MJ- Yeah, not surprised. I might as well just live out here.
Peter- (chuckling) Yeah, he sure does have a lot of alcohol.
MJ- Mmhmm. Well I better get to sleep, school and all.
Peter- Yeah, me too. Good night.
MJ- Good night, tiger.
Peter (Whisper to himself)- Tiger?

(Norman Osborn’s apartment late at night. Norman is sipping whiskey when there is a knock at the door. He opens the door to find Quentin Beck outside.)
Norman- Quentin, glad you could make it. Follow me.
(they walk through the apartment. When they pass by the fireplace, QB flinches when it pops.)
Norman- In here. (he opens a door. In the room there is a mask and a vial of liquid.)
Norman- The mask restricts oxygen from getting in, but it still allows you to breath. The vial contains a formula that will improve your strength and health. Take it once, and you’ll be fine. Take it all, free charge. Consider it a “get well soon” gift.
QB.- Thank you Norman.
