AN IMAGE OF THE EARTH FLOATS IN THE CENTER OF THE SCREEN. JUST LARGE ENOUGH TO BE RECOGNIZABLE. AS THE NARRATOR SPEAKS THE CAMERA SLOWLY MOVES TOWARDS THE PLANET.
THE NARRATOR IS FEMALE. SHE HAS A CLEAR STRONG YOUNG VOICE.
We did this to ourselves.
One madman grabbed for power and we just reacted. He unleashed forces that should have remained buried. In our fear we did things that were not only wrong but inhuman.
The world went to war. More terrible power was found and used. The world trembled at the hand of man. We had no idea what we had done.
To stop a madman we opened doors that cannot be closed. I cannot help but wonder what the world of 2010 would be like if it were otherwise. We were saved from ourselves by the most remarkable of humans. The Hero. A small handful of men and woman found ways to focus these new forces for something positive.
When the war was over the Heros returned home along with the soldiers. Some retired knowing their work was done but others found new work. Law enforcement agencies had to learn to deal with us but for the most part they did. Our presence helped to ease tensions in the world and to foster a sense of unity.
This is not utopia by any means but every country on the globe is part of the United Nations now. We have done pretty well. The remarkable abilities of those who were first called 'Specials' and later 'Supers'. We have not used the term superhero much but the word hero is quite common.
SCENE - THE EARTH NOW FILLS THE SCREEN AND THE DETAILS OF NORTH AMERICA ARE CLEARLY VISIBLE. THE POINT OF VIEW SHIFTS. NEW YORK CITY IS SOON AT THE CENTER OF THE SCREEN.
Six months ago a group of young heros made a mistake. They had been filming for a TV reality show and they moved too quickly. The young group had gotten praise for the care and planning that had gone into the first part of their show. What happened was tragic. They spotted a 5 person group of super-powered people all wanted for various crimes. Four of the five were correctly identified as as low threats. The fifth was not the normal member of the group but someone who resembled him a bit.
The New Warriors jumped to the conclusion that they did not need a plan. They attacked and did indeed take down 3 of the targets very easily. The fifth appeared and was revealed as a vicious killed known as Nitro. He was a very high level threat far beyond the New Warriors abilities.
Nitro possessed the ability to produce an explosion-like affect around his body. He did so and most of those around him died. This included hundreds of people. This included a school full of children.
SCENE - THE EXPLOSION IS SEEN FAR IN THE DISTANCE WELL BEYOND NYC.
The Super community was fractured. The general public went crazy. Some wanted all of the heros rounded up, others knew this was just a tragic mistake but everyone was angry. For our part we did not know how to handle the 2 members of the New Warriors that survived.
Some of us went underground. They are still out there doing what they think is right. At least I hope that is what they are doing.
SCENE - THE CAMERA MOVES ALONG THE STREET. IT IS DARK AND RAIN FALLS.
When powers such as we now possess are used they attract notice. The citizens of Earth are well aware that there are other forms of intelligent life in the Universe. Like everything else some of this life is friendly and some is not.
SCENE - CAMERA TILTS UPWARD TO A CLEAR PATCH IN THE CLOUDS. FIRST STARS ARE SEEN AND THEN A NUMBER OF BRIGHTER LIGHTS APPEAR AND START TO GROW IN SIZE.
During this time of chaos one such lifeform sprang a trap years in the making. They have infiltrated our world on every level. I don't know who to trust. Somehow we must find a way to save our world from those who are trying to lay claim to it.
SCENE - THE LIGHTS ARE SO STRONG THEY TURN THE WHOLE SCREEN WHITE. THE SCREEN FADES TO GREEN IN A LONG SECOND.

This is the beginning of what could become a treatment or even a script. I have noticed that the requirements for the Fan-Fic section are pretty light. Pick 6 actors and match them with Characters and call it a Fan Cast and that seems to be enough. I have spent a fair bit of time on this so far so it should qualify as well.
This would be a movie that would adapt the Marvel Secret Invasion to the screen. Because of the scope of the story itself a trilogy would probably be best but I doubt I will do that much. For those who might scream you cannot do that many SuperHeros in one movie all I can say is... yes you can. They are just people, just characters like any other and that is how I see them.
Currently the Cast list includes: Avengers, New Avengers, Young Avengers, Thunderbolts, Hercules, Fantastic Four and Nova.
I realize this is not how things work around here but as a group project this could be a lot of fun. Combine casting with other pictures to turn the thing into a complete story. While I am great with dialogue in general I am not so with sticking to Cannon. Because of that as you might have noticed I spun up my own version of the universe. Kinda thinking that giving a lot of characters more modern nicknames might be part of this. Remove some of the 'man' and 'woman' off of some names for instance.
Anyway putting up my thickest shield I present this introduction. Feel free to tell me what you think of it.
