EASTER EGG #1

When Agent Coulson calls Tony Stark in Stark Tower, Stark says that he has reached his Life Model Decoy which is an obvious reference to the LMD's of the Comics that Fury has used on numerous occasions.

EASTER EGG #2

When Selving is working on the Tesseract, he asks how Clint was able to get these scientist to which he responds that SHIELD has enemies. Reference to AIM maybe?

EASTER EGG #3

At the end of the film, the Other says that for Thanos to go after humans would be to "court death", which directly references his attempts to literally court Death of the Marvel Universe.

Your number two shouldnt really be up there. They could be talking about anything or one. Hydra, aim, shadow council...unless they made a direct reference or showed a symbol or something, this isnt really an Easter egg.

Well Hulk and Thor's hammer was an omage straight from the comics.

Biggest one I recognized is Black Widow's orgin in the Loki interrogation scene. Naming the father in paticular, made him sound like a big serial killer who is still alive. I have been looking for a trascript of that clip to find the guys name

SPOILER ALERT

Loki: There’s not many people who can sneak up on me.
Natasha Romanoff: But you figured I’d come?
Loki: After… After whatever tortures Fury can concoct. You would appear as a friend, as a balm, and I would cooperate.
Natasha: I want to know what you've done to Agent Barton.
Loki: I'd say I've expanded his mind.
Natasha: And once you've won, once you're king of the mountain, what happens to his mind?
Loki: Is this love, Agent Romanoff?
Natasha: Love is for children. I owe him a debt.
Loki: Tell me.
Natasha: Before I worked for SHIELD, I ah - well, I made a name for myself. I have a very specific skill set. I didn't care whom I used it for, or on. I got on SHIELD's radar in a bad way. Agent Barton was sent to kill me. He made a different call.
Loki: And what will you do if I vow to spare him?
Natasha: Not let you out.
Loki: I know, but I like this. Your world in the balance, and you bargain for one man.
Natasha: Regimes fall every day. I tend not to weep over that, I'm Russian. Or I was.
Loki: And what are you now?
Natasha: It's really not that complicated. I've got red in my ledger, and I'd like to wipe it out.
Loki: Can you? Can you wipe out that much red? Drakoff's daughter, Sao Paulo, the hospital fire. Barton told me everything. Your ledger is dripping, it's gushing red, and you think saving a man no more virtuous than yourself will change anything? This is the basis of sentimentality. This is a child's prayer, pathetic. You lie and kill in the service of liars and killers. You pretend to be separate, to have your own code, something that makes up for the horrors. But they are part of you and they will never go away. I won't touch Barton. Not until I make him kill you, slowly, intimately, in every way he knows you fear. And then he’ll wake just long enough to see his good work. And when he screams, I’ll split his skull.
*Natasha turns away with a gasp*
Loki: This is my bargain, you mewling quim!
Natasha: *tearfully* You're a monster.
Loki: Oh no. You brought the monster.
*Natasha turns back around and looks at Loki, completely unfazed and dry-eyed. She was manipulating him.*
Natasha: So, Banner? That's your play.
Loki: What?
Natasha: *speaking into her earpiece* Loki means to unleash the Hulk. Keep Banner in the lab, I'm on my way, send Thor as well.
Natasha: *turns to Loki* Thank you, for your cooperation.

i think this a big one that people tend to overlook:

after loki stabs thor with his hidden dagger, thor just takes it out and tosses it aside ontop of stark tower. Which more than likely now means Stark has access to Thors DNA. Possible Ragnarok reference?

@STI Thanks man, looking in the ddatabases I am having trouble find history on Drakoff, must be a new creation

I thought the scene between Black Widow and Loki was more of a homage to Silence of the Lambs. This is is also furthered at the end when Loki has the Hannibal-like mask.
Tainted87
Tainted87 - 5/7/2012, 8:37 PM

"042" -> 42 is the name of the prison devised in "Civil War" by Tony, "Hank", and Reed; located in the Negative Zone, Stark explains it was the 42nd of 100 ideas they had to make the world a "safer place".

The Pegasus Project (no image yet) -> The name of the research facility in the pretitle sequence. Since it serves the same function, I don't think you can really call it an easter egg.
Rhinoman
Rhinoman - 5/7/2012, 8:44 PM
Oh sweet job Tainted, Right now S.H.I.E.L.D have only two live supervillains in custody with The Abomination and The Leader (Which Feige thankfully said was still Cannon).

Whiplash, Iron Mongerer, Chartari (All the guys on earth)were all killed while Loki and Red Skull are in space. Would love to have a small mention if Stark builds that prision that they have transferred those two over with possibly The Mandarin

@DocHorrible That is EXACTLY what I was thinking during the movie. Made the experience so much better.
Loki is right up there as one of my favorite villains(for different reasons than Hannibal of course).
Tainted87
Tainted87 - 5/7/2012, 9:02 PM
Thanks Rhinoman! There's also Justin Hammer, but I guess he's not really a supervillain.

Though the Marvel Easter Eggs were decent, my favorites are all the movie reference/nicknames Tony gives everyone.

Reindeer Games - Loki, Point Break - Thor, Legolas - Hawkeye... I don't know, did he call anyone else anything?

I read online that there were trucks with "Pym Industires" on the side or something like that.

I'm watching it again tonight so I'll look for it.

You forgot the biggest. At the end we see the Stark tower with only an A. Everyone can get what it means.
blvdnoise
blvdnoise - 5/8/2012, 4:05 AM
@Moviefan Obviously.. But ALSO in the digital diagram of "Stark Tower" he and pepper were looking at / adjusting right at the very end of the film there was a Quinjet freshly modeled in just a few stories under where the letters on the building were..

Don't forget the big black guy holding the baby "Who Rad thinks is Luke Cage" at the end of the film.

@blvdnoise- Hulk catching Mjolnir was awesome. I honestly thought he was about to pick it up and give Thor the business.

6of13 - 5/8/2012, 10:54 AM
In the NASA scene at the beginning there is an Oracle Industries logo as well as a SUN logo. Oracle Industries logo, as in IM2, is of course Namor, but I don't know who the SUN logo references.

its funny, people have complained that this movie didnt have any emotional substance. thats crazy, the scenes with black widow and loki, with widow and hawkeye, tony and pepper were cute but the emotion was there and the phone call from another dimension, really!!! the little banter between stark and cap. loki stabs his brother! and all of this with literally no time whatsoever, loki was on the clock and applying a tremendous amount of pressure. all the characters were tense and on edge, seriously, the movie was a fantastic piece of story telling.

AC1
AC1 - 5/10/2012, 2:02 PM
@Rhinoman and StrongestThereIs I don't think he was calling her Drakoff's daughter, it sounded more like he was listing some of the things that had happened during the darker times of Black Widow's career, meaning Drakoff's daughter was possibly a victim of hers when she was a hired assassin.

But yeah, the courting Death reference was my favourite, possibly because it was the main one I picked up

If you look in the corner of the schematics for the new tower at the end of the movie it says Avenger's Tower. Everyone knows about Thanos being the puppet master at the end credits.
