Recently, I came across a website that had bloggers write ideas about what they would do if they could have been able to write the Star Wars Prequels. So I came up with an idea and felt like sharing it here as well as there. Personally I enjoyed the Prequels for what they were but wouldn't have minded it if they had been tweaked to make them a little better. Anyway, here it is.

Episode 1-The Separatists, not the Trade Federation, are trying to take over Naboo. The premise of the movie is that the Separatists are trying to formally break away from the Republic and form their own government. The Republic has refused the secession but the Separatists are starting to declare themselves as an official government and have blockaded Naboo with the plans to take it over as part of an expansion plan for their territories. The Separatists are currently only made up of a handful of planets and have a very small army, which about the size of the Trade Federation’s army.

Obi Wan Kenobi, who is a Jedi Knight, is sent to the blockade of Naboo with government representatives to try to bring peace between the Separatists and the Republic and stop the invasion of Naboo. Darth Maul is the head of the Separatists and orders Nute Gunray over a hologram transmission to murder the Republic Representatives and Obi Wan Kenobi and start the invasion of the planet. The representatives are murdered but Obi Wan manages to stay alive and is forced to go to the surface of Naboo on a droid transport, since his transport is destroyed by the Separatists, like in the Episode 1. Obi Wan meets Jar Jar Binks by saving him from a handful of droids who try to murder him and other Gungans when the droid army started taking over their Gungan village on the surface. The Gungans then head to their underwater villages to try to get away from the droids and give Obi Wan one of their underwater transports to get to Theed, since they are grateful for Obi Wan helping save them and getting them to the underwater city. Jar also says he owes his life to Obi Wan and declares that he will go with him.

Obi Wan gets to Theed and rescues the Queen. They then decide to go to Coruscant to inform the Senate over what has happened and try to get help with the current invasion situation, since their communication capabilities were destroyed. They then get to the Queen’s ship and barely get by the blockade, which results in significant damage to ship, including the hyperdrive. They then head to the nearest planet to get another ship to reach Coruscant. Obi Wan then gets to Tatooine and meets Anakin, who is about eighteen and currently the copilot of a smuggler. Obi Wan offers to pay them what little money they have to get to Coruscant, since, as stated before, the Queen’s ship is too heavily damaged to reach Coruscant.

Meanwhile back on Coruscant Darth Maul has learned of the Queen’s escape and has already sent bounty hunters to find the Queen so the Neimodians can get her to sign a treaty to make their invasion legal and declare the Separatists as the government which Naboo will follow.

The bounty hunters, led by Jango Fett, track the Queen to Tatooine and fight Obi Wan. Unfortunately Jango Fett gets the upper hand and is about to kill Obi Wan when Anakin force pushes Fett into a wall and Obi Wan gets on the transport to escape. While on the way to Coruscant, Obi Wan asks Anakin if he ever considered becoming a Jedi, due to his amazing force potential. Anakin then decides that he wants a better life than the one he has and decides to start training as a Jedi with Obi Wan as his master. When reaching Coruscant, the Queen goes before the Senate to ask for help with the invasion and Anakin is brought before the Jedi Council to start training as a Jedi.

However, the Jedi Council senses a darkness in Anakin and is unsure about training him as a Jedi. Obi Wan declares he will train Anakin regardless of what the Council says, but the Council decides to deal with the Naboo crisis before determining what they will do with Anakin. The Senate ends up sending a small militia and a few Jedi go along to deal with the Separatists crisis on Naboo. Darth Maul also goes to Naboo to oversee the final stages of the invasion of Naboo.

The few Republic Star Destroyers that the Republic has then fly to Naboo and engage the battle the Separatists Warships in the atmosphere of Naboo, while the small group of Jedi and the small Republic Militia battle the droid army in the city of Theed with some tanks and other ground vehicles. The Queen then fights to get to the Neimodians in the palace and retake it, while Mace Windu, Obi Wan, and Qui Gon, find Darth Maul and duel with him. Qui Gon is killed and Mace Windu is wounded, while Obi Wan kills Darth Maul. Meanwhile, Anakin fights in space with the Republic forces and takes out the Droid Control ship. Naboo is saved from invasion and everyone is happy. The Republic then passes legislation, which is presented by Senator Palpatine to create a large clone army and create more weapons and ships to battle any future threats from the Separatists. The Jedi Council then decides to make Anakin Obi Wan’s apprentice.

Episode 2- Five years after the events of Episode 1, Count Dooku is the New Head of the Separtists, since the previous leader, Darth Maul was killed, and is threatening to declare war on the Republic. Meanwhile, the Separatists have recruited thousands of star systems to their cause. The Republic clone army has been created but there is debate between the Senators on whether to try and continue peace talks with the Separatists or to use the newly created clone army and officially declare war on the Separatists.

Padme Amidala is no longer a Queen, but is the head of the Senate and is trying to get the Senate to continue the peace talks with Separatists and is headed to Coruscant to stop the vote on whether or not to start war with the Separatists. In these movies, the Republic has a Judicial system, a Legislative system, and an Executive system headed by the Supreme Chancellor, rather than the Supreme Chancellor being the head of the Senate, like in the prequels. An attempt is made on her life, as well as the Chancellor’s, and the head of High Court of the Republic. The attack on Padme fails, while, the Chancellor and the Supreme Justice of the High Court are killed. Palpatine, who was currently Vice Chancellor, becomes Supreme Chancellor and asks the Jedi to provide protection for Amidala like in Episode 2, but another attempt is made on her life, by Zam Wesell and Jango Fett. Both are chased by Anakin and Obi Wan but Zam is killed and Jango escapes.

Then like in the movie, Anakin and Padme are sent to Naboo for her safety and Jar Jar takes control of the Senate, while Obi Wan is tasked with tracking down Jango and bringing him to justice, since he tried to kill the leader of the Senate, Padme Amidala. However, Jar Jar is very intelligent and not goofy at all, he is more like a Chewbacca type character. Anakin goes to Naboo with Padme and declares his love for her while experiencing visions of his mother back on Tatooine suffering at the hands of Tusken Raiders. He goes to Tatooine and kills the Tuskens and finds the Lars homestead, all like what happened in Episode 2. Meanwhile Obi Wan finds Jango Fett on Hoth and tries to apprehend him but fails and chases him to Geonosis. Obi Wan discovers that Jango Fett works for Count Dooku, also Darth Tyranus, who has built a tremendous droid army and will officially start war with the Republic. However, the Separatists now want to gain control of the Republic, instead of trying to separate from the Republic. Obi Wan tries to report back to the Chancellor and Mace Windu and Yoda about these matters but is captured and sentenced to death like in Episode 2. Anakin and Padme try to save Obi Wan like in Episode 2 but are captured and sentenced to death as well. Jar Jar feels that the Separatists must be stopped and convinces Bail Organa and others to pass legislation to declare war on the Separatists. The clone army is activated and Yoda goes to recruit them to go to Geonosis, while Mace Windu and other Jedi go to save Obi Wan. Then everything else plays out exactly like it did in Episode 2.

Episode 3- Everything pretty much stays the same, however, we are first introduced to R2 D2 and C3P0 in this movie who are the servants of Padme. The Chancellor is kidnapped and Obi Wan and Anakin rescue him and kill Count Dooku. Obi Wan goes to Utapau to kill General Grievous and Yoda goes to aid Chewbacca and others in the Battle of Kashyyk. Anakin however is afraid of losing Padme to death like his mother and tries to save her. The Chancellor reveals that he is Darth Sidious and is the true head of the Separatists and wants Anakin to become his new apprentice and promises that he can save Padme from childbirth death.

Mace Windu and other jedi try to kill Palpatine but Anakin stops them and Palpatine does not become deformed by lightning. Anakin decides to follow Palpatine, who only states that he will save Padme if Anakin joins him and promises Anakin a leadership position in the “New Order”. Anakin then kills many Jedi with the clone army in the Temple and order 66 is brought forth, due to the fact that Palpatine secretly made the clone army absolutely obedient to his commands when he got them created. Palpatine states the Jedi tried to kill him and take control of the Republic. Palpatine then forms the Empire and later duels Yoda. Anakin goes to Mustafar to wipe out the remaining separatist leaders. However, he fights Obi Wan and loses his other arm and legs and falls into a chemical vat at the Mustafar facility and gets terribly burned. Palpatine comes to Mustafar and finds his body and brings him to a medical facility on Coruscant to get treatment. He is put into the suit and christened as Darth Vader. Padme gives birth to Luke and Leia and dies from Childbirth only, not from a broken heart. Leia is brought to Alderaan and adopted by Bail Organa and Luke is brought to Tatooine and raised by Owen and Beru Lars and watched over by Obi Wan Kenobi, while Yoda goes to Dagobah.

So Darth Sidious doesn't get deformed at all? Or did you forget to explain his lumpy face? And you cut R2 and 3PO, two of the most iconic and long-running characters in the series from the first 2 films, but you kept Jar-Jar, the character that most Star Wars fans despise, in the film?

Whatever man, it's your fan fic. The other ideas were ok though, just not too happy with what was mentioned above.

Look, I know the Prequels weren't perfect, but you don't have to go and do this!

Well, just to be clear I made Jar Jar not kiddy and not goofy/stupid at all, his voice would be different, he would basically be more like a Chewbacca type role.

As for Sidious, I guess his "face" he has in episode 5 and 6 is aging or perhaps his real appearance that he kept hidden somehow in episodes 1, 2, 3, I didn't buy that he just got deformed if no one else did when they got struck by lighning, unless the lightning showed his real appearance and stripped away his "mask".

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Well that makes more sense, and I agree, if Jar Jar is included, he shouldn't be like he is in the actual film. And yeah the face thing being a mask makes sense too, maybe his face is just warped by the dark side? like how a lot of sith have yellow/red eyes?
