This is the Swamp Thing we all deserve. No Wolf-Bear-Lizard-Monster-Arcane thing, and no tiny little Pig-men. A much truer representation for a Swamp Thing FRANCHISE that we fans deserve. Read on.......
This time we won't start with the origin story, but rather reveal it in flash-backs throughout the movie to set a rythm and mood for the story, ultimately revealing the horrific demise of Alec Holland and subsequent rise of Swamp Thing, all at the hands of Dr. Anton Arcane (with hints at the original Un-Men assissting). After remembering this Swamp Thing seeks out his revenge on Arcane who uses his own neice Abigal as a human sheild while he retreats. After fighting his way through the Un-Men Swamp Thing stops only at the apparent demise of Anton Arcane. Final Scene: As Swamp Thing comforts Abby Arcane we pull back to notice that from the tree line they are watched by none other than the Floronic Man.
This would leave an opening into the classic Alan Moore run where we discover that Swamp Thing is not Alec Holland but an Earth elemental. (I would have cast Constantine for this as well but I don't want Keanu effing up my movie!)
We would end our trilogy with the Un-Men returning to ressurect their Master into an abomination like themselves. He would then (of course) blame all of his cursed existence on Swamp Thing and begin their battle anew.
For monstrosities on this level I would go with the Direction of Guillermo Del Toro.
And the cast to follow......
Alec Holland as well. If you don't think Durand can do it.... check out his performance in "Legion".
I was gonna go with Amber Heard ...but Gwen is just so freaking HOT!
We would only need Mr. Isaacs for the first movie and voice over in the third.
What can I say? Buscemi looks like the Floronic Man.....even without make-up!
Last but not least our Un-Men will be largely CGI.
