"In 2006, Marvel launched a new ongoing series, The Immortal Iron Fist, co-written by Ed Brubaker and Matt Fraction and featuring art by Spanish illustrator David Aja. "The Immortal Iron Fist" began with a six-part arc, counter-intuitively titled "The Last Iron Fist Story". The story reveals the Iron Fist to be a legacy power conferred on the champion of K'un Lun roughly once a generation. There have been sixty-six Iron Fists. K'un L'un is also revealed as one of the Seven Cities of Heaven, each of which has an analogous champion Warrior.

"The story introduces Orson Randall, Daniel Rand's immediate predecessor, who reneged on his responsibilities to K'un L'un after suffering immense psychological trauma during the First World War. Randall is discovered in Thailand; apparently preserved by the spirit of Shou-Lao and in full possession of his powers, but living in drug-soaked seclusion. Randall is pursued by agents of the Steel Serpent and the terrorist group HYDRA. Jolted out of his decades-long ennui, Randall seeks out Daniel Rand in New York and gives him The Book of the Iron Fist, a sacred ledger supposedly containing all the Kung-fu secrets of previous Iron Fists, which Randall claims will be necessary if Rand is to compete successfully in the coming tournament of the Seven Champions."

Now the cast you've all been waiting for...

The Father who sacrifices himself for his family... I decided to bring back an old veteran since he's not really in the story anyways.

I'm going to follow JOSHW on this besides Mom dies immediately too...

Now Harold was a bad guy until karma thought him a lesson and since he's a recurring role I decided to spend some fictional money and cast a name that will attract tons of non-comic fans...

JOSHW was spot on for both of these characters but watch how things change up...

I like to cast my heroes young so they can last a couple sequels... Sean Faris can clearly fight. We saw that in "Never Back Down". I know he's not blonde but how easy is that to fix? Hair Color and stop shaving for a couple days, He'll look just like Daniel and he'll do amazing...

What's a man without a woman by his side?

Meaghan good already got the attitude, already got the looks and already got the part...

A man gotta have backup...

Got the looks, got the size, doesn't need to fake ghetto. I'm really annoyed of people overusing Terry Crews... I mean can he even play a serious role?

We all know her well... Sin City is all you need on a resume not to mention she looks exactly like in the comics.

So Jason Statham makes a better Taskmaster. Bruce Willis makes a perfect Orson. All things that work together...

A hero ain't a hero if he ain't got enemies...

Never seen him fight but I kinda used all most of my other options in my DC vs Mortal Kombat cast lol.

If you ain't convinced, watch "Blood and Bone"

And that's it folks.Talk it up...

I like a lot of these casting choices!
Nicely done!
I think the only one that I truly disagree with is Sean Faris...I don't thik he is a very good actor, but my opinion is based solely on the very few things in which I have seen him act.
Then again, I didn't think Jamie Foxx was a very good actor up until he did Ray.
I like your choice for Luke Cage.
But it is interesting to note that if Morris Chestnut were cast as Cage and he appeared in a film with Wolverine then Wolverine would be the taller of the two...that doesn't sit well with me. But maybe I'm being too picky?

Pretty good Casting!

Luke Cage is a giant.
Morris Chestnut albeit a very good
actor is only 6' tall! Too short for
Cage!

Never seen Ferris act so I don't
know about that one.

Aoki for Colleen Wing was my choice too!
She is perfect!

The rest are excellent actors but I think
William Hurt might be too recognized as
General Thunderbolt Ross to be in any other
Marvel movie!

Another IRON FIST already??? : /

Just come from JOSHES lol!

Um, STATHAM = Perfect TASKMASTER, cannot see him as IRON FIST at all!!!

I like the rest though, good stuff, though seriously think JET LI & CHOW YUN FAT deserve bigger MARVEL roles than these?

But great work!

BLOOD & STONE, will do man, thanks!

Chestnut is all wrong for CAGE... CAGE IS 6'6" 300LBS Chestnut is barely 6'0 and probally under 200lbs...NO!!!

STATHAM Im not sure about him being IRON FIST he cant act, but I would take him as the Terminator or Taskmaster for sure. Im not to familiar with the Orson Rand character so maybe Statham is right for this type Iron Fist.

Im not sure who Master Khan is I thought the guy was
asian, but Ill assume he's not. This is the second fancast where he's casted as an africian-american JoshW did the first one I seen. Walker was GREAT in OZ so Im sure he'll bring Khan to life.

Meaghan Good is nice looking, but she doesnt have that edge that
Misty Knight needs we need someone with a Pam Grier type
edge with beauty.

Sean Faris as IRON FIST...Yea I can see that the boy can
fight n he's a decent actor.

Jet Li...YES this is a martial arts movie and the guy
does well in these type roles.

Devon Aoki almost a identical twin with her comicbook counter-part and the girl can act so...

Chow yu Fat is the MAN nuff said about that

BLOOD & BONE was decent it's entertaining.

OVERALL NICE JOB

Shit DDD you're right... I didn't even realize that wasn't Sam Elliot in the second Hulk... Let me fix that.

@ LEEE777

I kknew I had seen him cast before... I couldn't remember where and yeah that's a good fit. So for the sake of my imaginary continuity I'll fix that too...

@ BLADE40

Meaghan good got all it takes, she just hasn't had a shot to shine like this. Trust me a couple months of Hollywood martial arts training n she's set.

As for Luke Cage? Please the runner up in the real world is Tyrese Gibson. As long as we're doing better than that let put aside technicalities and admit this is one of the better choices. Top Three if you ask me

4 of these are just copied from my cast - you could've come up with some ideas of your own dude but thanks for giving me the credit I guess!

The rest are decent though, good cast! :)

I'm good with all of them except your

Danny Rand, Misty Knight and Luke Cage picks.

Farris jsut doesn't have...it. IDK

Chesnut is way too short for the role, it is nice to see someone other than Terry crew mentioned, but this guy is too small.

Good could probably pull off the role, but I would prefer Zoe Saldana, if I had not cast her previously as Storm. I'm not sure about this one though.

HAWK out

Im sorry bro but chestnut is soft and too small he just isnt CAGE status. Now as you put it...putting technicalities aside
I'd much rather see Kevin Grevioux,Micheal Duncan Clark, and then maybe Tyress but I know it's not gonna happen because the technicaliities are in place.

Black @ Good stuff! ; )

Hey i have no idea who your actor is for CAGE, but look wise he is CAGE!

Any good movies he been in?

LEEE- Here's a small list of Chestnut movies
mostly comedies and straight to dvd type movies

LIKE MIKE
THE GAME PLAN
UNDER SIEGE
THE BROTHERS
THE KILLING YARD
TWO CAN PLAY THAT GAME

He also had a role on the t.v. series V
Blackreverend
Blackreverend - 3/8/2010, 2:44 PM
He's starring in the new V tv series... Check that out.

@ Blade40

Michael Duncan Clark? Really? Kevin Grievoux is too aint in shape enough but I'd give him a shot... If Morris really couldn't pull it off.
BLADE44
BLADE44 - 3/8/2010, 3:40 PM
I agree with you about Grievoux ,but he does have a street type edge that Chestnut doesnt have. Little cardio and diet and maybe Grievoux could look the part, but like Crews and my fav Micheal Clarke Duncan he's getting a little too old also. Your probally right in the end the number one choice OF MOST PEOPLE THAT MATTER PROBALLY IS Tyress.

If they cast smaller extras, villians, and work the camera angles Tyress could pull it off phyiscally
but what about the acting?
Blackreverend
Blackreverend - 3/8/2010, 5:24 PM
That's what they did to wolvie... created an illusion making us forget how tall the dude really is.

I've never seen Tyrese in a main role, Kinda like Brandon Molale (Shazam) he's only played in supporting casts. That's another reason I would go with Morris. He's in the main cast on V. He finished his lead role in "Not Easily Broken"... the brother's in his prime. One of the better choices that's all I'll go with. I won't push it cauz I see your point of view as well.

I must admit... I'm kinda biased in terms that I rather they cast a pretty face that can act and looks like the character than just someone who can act period. For example I would rather Marvel cast Robert Buckley despite his voice over John Krasinski

It's o.k. to stick with your piont of view I dont
take this message board stuff serious so I hear you.

Chestnut does kinda look like the character he just really needs to bulk-up something serious. Spend
about a month in the hood(NEAR CRENSHAW BLVD in downtown L.A.) Tyress grew up in to get some edge and I could see him saying, "SWEET CHRISTMAS".
