WRITER and DIRECTOR
BRAD BIRD - Famous for his work on Disney/Pixar's "The Incredibles" serving as writer and director, it's no doubt he could be the perfect man for a reboot of the Fantastic Four. His work on that film payed homage to that, and many other, famous comic book titles. Now that he has made a successful leap into directing live action films, there really is no reason for him to be overlooked for such a grand project. He's got the heart and skill to make a Fantastic Film.

THE FANTASTIC FOUR

REED RICHARDS/MR.FANTASTIC – The esteemed genius and leader of the Fantastic Four A hero in the eyes of New York, as a scientist Richard’s had ever had only one rival, Victor Von Doom Their rivalry was long considered friendly until a mistake of science took away Victor’s future, Richards has long since been blamed for Von Doom’s accident, with such passion he continued his research in part a dedication to his friend, but once he, his fiancee’ and friends were bombarded by cosmic radiation transforming them into the Fantastic Four everyone knows.

JIM PARSONS – Best known for his role as Dr. Sheldon Cooper on the hit T.V. Series “The Big Bang Theory”; He was an obvious choice for me. I think he is a fantastic actor, and has a great reputation for playing smart guys and as an actor has a winning personality. I feel that he is the perfect choice he has all the credentials an actor needs for the role and is in the middle of the ultimate and 616 Mr. Fantastic age, which pretty much means I would love it no matter what version of Mr. Fantastic he would play. He will always be my number one choice and hopefully will end up winning the role in either the 20th Century Fox Reboot or a Marvel Studios Reboot.

SUSAN “SUE” STORM/THE INVISIBLE WOMAN – The wife of Mr.Fantastic and an intelligent scientist herself, she had fallen in love with Reed during their time in college, and has often assisted him in choice experiments eventually joining him with her brother, and mutual friend Ben Grimm in an experiment that would change the face of travel in all manners, but along with the group she was bombarded by Cosmic Radiation and transformed in the Invisible Woman.

JENA MALONE – An amazing actress who is best known for a supporting role in director Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch, where she co-starred as Rocket. Jena was by far my favorite performer of the film, she was fantastic on every level and showed a degree of intelligence as an actress, she’s definitely easy on the eyes and knows how to act, I will admit Invisible Woman might be a challenge for her, but actors and actresses are supposed to seek out a challenge in performing. I think she would fit in well with the cast and really add her own charm to playing Invisible Woman.

JONATHAN “JOHNNY” STORM/THE HUMAN TORCH – The younger brother of Sue, and brother-in-law of Reed, Johnny while not as smart as Sue or Reed he’s got a bit of intelligence in him, often outweighed by his immaturity and knack to play surrogate little brother and annoy Ben, usually by use of his own powers or ingenuity. He is in many ways the face and the humor of the group and is beloved for it.

JUSTIN CHATWIN – Can we please stop demonizing him for making a movie? I mean seriously it’s a movie, his job is to make them. I know we’re going to give Garrett Hedlund shit if he makes Akira, but we can let that go. Justin is actually a very good actor. He’s got the heart and intelligence for it. I think he would do very well as the Human Torch, he’s an actor that doesn’t get a lot of credit. I’m someone willing to take a gamble to get the right actors on the film. While this was no easy choice I feel comfortable enough to use Chatwin as Torch.

BENJAMIN “BEN” GRIMM/THE THING – Former Air Force Pilot, and long running best friend of Reed Richards, Ben had taken care of Reed from the beginning, not intimidated by his genius, instead felt it was a foundation for friendship allowing Reed to assist Ben in his studies allowing him to graduate and eventually becoming a pilot for the United States Air Force. When Reed proposed his experiment it was with Ben’s help he was able to build the machine (due to Ben’s minor engineering history) and was with his friend when bombarded by the cosmic radiation. The grisly encounter transformed him into The Thing!

JOEL EDGERTON – This choice is 100% influenced by his role in Warrior. This is another choice that really took a while to get to but once I really decided on it I felt this was by far the best choice to fit Ben. Warriors really showed him play the kind of person I see Ben as being, a person willing to do anything for his (in this case surrogate) family and In that film he played a real hero, and had really shown great acting chops. This guy would be a perfect Thing; he’s got the heart and a great American accent I would love to see Joel as the Ever Lovin’ Blue Eyed Thing.

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS

DR. FRANKLIN STORM – The genius scientist (surgeon in the original 616 verse) that raised Sue and Johnny in a loving environment and in the ultimate books were assisted by them in his research to create a matter transporter.

ROBERT SEAN LEONARD – This is pretty much my go to guy for these types of roles, they guy is smart and really expresses that in his acting. He really seems like he would fit perfectly in this role and shows both a parental instinct and intelligence.

ALICIA MASTERS – Alicia is a blind sculptress who is able to create incredibly lifelike representations of real people by touch and memory alone; her sculptures of the Fantastic Four and other superheroes are frequently depicted. A caring, sensitive character, she has been a romantic interest and confidant of The Thing, a member of the Fantastic Four who is frequently ashamed of his monstrous appearance. She has also helped explain human life and emotion to the alien Silver Surfer.

ALLISON MACK – We all know her from t.v.’s Superboy without the costume, or better known as Smallville. She is a great actress, she was in no small part one of the only performers on Smallville to keep the quality of acting high and since that’s over and I’m sure her stage contracts are close to being ended I would love to see her play Alicia Masters, I almost casted her as Sue, but I really wanted Jena Malone and I wanted to give Allison Mack a challenge, Now I’m sure she could play the role but I think she would have really well developed chemistry with Joel as the Thing and the rest of the Fantastic Four. She’s a good actress and I would really like to see her in the role.

WILLIE LUMPKIN – Lumpkin is represented as having befriended the Fantastic Four, to whom he makes regular fan mail deliveries at their Baxter Building headquarters in New York City. He half-jokingly requests to join the team on the grounds that he has the "power" to wiggle his ears. He serves as their mailman for many years, and on occasion falls into the zone of danger that typically surrounds the adventuring heroes.

WILLIAM H. MACY – In all honesty he is about as pitch perfect as anyone could get for Willie. Sure it’s a bit role but Will Macy is the type of actor I think he would do it, not just for a check but because he would more or less get paid to be himself. I think he is absolutely perfect for the role of Willie Lumpkin.

NEW YORK BASED VILLAINS

MOLE MAN – Mole Man was a Baxter Building scientist named Dr. Harvey Elder. Nicknamed Mole Man by the students, he was fired due to his experiments in creating life after being warned off. He claimed the files as his own but was told by the governmental officials firing him, which included Sue and John's father, Dr. Franklin Storm that everything he created was the property of the United States government. He soon disappeared into underground caverns with his Moloids.

PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN – He’s a fan favorite for so many roles it borders ridiculous. Personally I love him as an actor he’s always turned out a good performance, he did so well he won an Oscar. And his name has been mentioned around the Comic Book Pool and personally I think he would play a fantastic Mole Man.

THE PUPPET MASTER – The Puppet Master uses radioactive clay to make puppets of people that he can then control, attaching them to strings and moving them as puppets; presumably he has some sort of psionic ability that enables him to do this. He has a deep hatred of the Thing, who is romantically interested in his stepdaughter, Alicia Masters. He once tried to take over the world but was thwarted in this effort by the Fantastic Four.

MICHAEL KEATON – There are few actors who could take the premise of this character and turn out a believably evil performance. Michael has the talent to play hellion and full blown psychopath. He would do an amazing job should he get the right script to work with I think he could do an iconic job as The Puppet Master.

INTERNATIONAL VILLAINS

THE RED GHOST – The Red Ghost is a scientific genius with advanced knowledge in fields including rocketry, engineering, communications, genetics, robotics, physics, hypnotism, and the training of simians. He is an expert in radiology with a Ph. D. in radiology. He has perfected force-field devices, devices to mentally communicate with and control other primates, a cosmitronic gun, freeze ray pistols, rocket fuel from material found in a meteorite crater, and spacecraft made of transparent ceramic plastic to be unshielded against cosmic ray storms. He has studied various forms of socialist and communist theory.

CRISPIN GLOVER – He’s damn near everyone’s choice for the Joker, I see it, I understand it, but I would love to see him playing the delightfully weird Red Ghost. He was really the only person I had thought of and probably will think of for the role. I think he would make a delightful Red Ghost and have fun with the role.

NAMOR THE SUB-MARINER – The mutant son of a human sea captain and of a princess of the mythical undersea kingdom of Atlantis, Namor possesses the super-strength and aquatic abilities of the "Homo mermanus" race, as well as the mutant ability of flight, along with other superhuman powers. Through the years, he has been alternately portrayed as a good-natured but short-fused superhero, or a hostile invader seeking vengeance for perceived wrongs that misguided surface-dwellers committed against his kingdom.

BRANDON ROUTH – A favorite actor of mine, he’s a natural swimmer and not too bad an actor, I think his natural hobby as a swimmer would really improve his take on the role He’s got the handsome features and for me is a clear choice for the role.

DR.DOOM – A brilliant but arrogant scientist, Victor Von Doom was disfigured when one of his early experiments went horribly awry. Now - his scarred countenance masked by a metal faceplate, his body sheathed in nigh-impenetrable armor - Dr Doom rules the small European country of Latveria with an iron fist. Not content with one nation, his ultimate aspiration is world domination and the destruction of the fabled Fantastic Four. Dr. Doom possesses the ability, though not-often used, to switch minds with others. Also, he commands a small amount of mystical knowledge.

GASPARD ULLIEL – I loved him in Hannibal Rising, he played a fantastic Hannibal and since then he has aged into an actor that I would absolutely love to see Play DR.DOOM I think he would have the passion the style and methodology to play Dr. Doom. He fits perfectly with Jim Parson’s as Mr. Fantastic. Also with his accent I think it would be easier for him to work with an accent coach to develop a Latverian accent for the role.

THE NEGATIVE ZONE and THE COSMIC MARVEL of SPACE

ANNIHILUS – Annihilus first encountered the Fantastic Four when Reed, Ben, and Johnny entered the Negative Zone seeking anti-particles needed to treat Sue's cosmic ray-related pregnancy complications. Annihilus' minions captured the heroes, but they escaped, stealing his Control Rod. They returned it after siphoning off the needed anti-particles and returned to Earth.[2] Annihilus next invaded the Microverse, a dimension accessed via the energies of shrinking, sending his Insectivorid drones to conquer worlds in his name.

TONY TODD – Best known from his work in the Candyman franchise, He has shown a versityle career as a voice actor, having his voice used in the Transformer’s franchise. He has one of the most iconic voices in Hollywood with his menacing stature he is a great choice for Annihilus as he is able to convey his menacing size I think he would be a daunting Annihilus.

SUPER SKRULL – Kl'rt - more commonly known as the Super-Skrull - hails from the Skrull capital world of Tarnax IV (in the Tarnax System in the Andromeda Galaxy) which has since been destroyed by Galactus. The Skrull Emperor Dorrek VII wanted revenge against the Fantastic Four, who thwarted the Empire's attempt to invade Earth. Dorrek handpicked the mighty warrior Kl'rt, who was artificially augmented and given the combined abilities of the Fantastic Four. Kl'rt's power levels, however, exceeded the originals--stronger than the Thing; superior flight and greater pyrokinetic ability than the Human Torch; better control of invisibility and telekinesis than the Invisible Woman; and an ability to stretch beyond that of Mr. Fantastic. The newly-named "Super-Skrull" also retained his innate Skrull shapeshifting abilities and strong hypnotic skills. He was then dispatched to Earth to defeat the Fantastic Four and pave the way for a renewed invasion by the Skrull Empire.

DJMONJU HUNSOU – An amazing actor who is versatile and rising as an actor. For many he is a fan favorite for a number of Marvel Comics roles such as: Black Panther, and Blade. As an actor he would play an amazing Super Skrull!

UATU THE WATCHER – Uatu is the Watcher assigned to watch over Earth from his home in the Blue Area of the Moon. He is an altruist and has bent or violated his oath on numerous occasions in order to aid humanity. He revealed himself to the Fantastic Four when they discovered his home, telling them he would leave the Moon to observe humanity from a more distant area.

VINCENT D’ONOFRIO – He is an actor who many can be considered Iconic. He’s known for his role as Pvt. Golmer Pyle in Stanley Kubrick’s Iconic Full Metal Jacket, and as the Ector suit in M.I.B. He’s got height and look for someone who could be the watcher of earth. He is a fantastic actor and I could easily imagine him in this particular role very easily. Not to mention his work as Orson Wells, which can just show that he has a iconic voice.

SILVER SURFER – Originally, Norrin Radd, a young astronomer of the planet Zenn-La, made a bargain with the cosmic entity Galactus, pledging to serve as his herald in order to save his homeworld from destruction. Imbued in return with a tiny portion of Galactus' Power Cosmic, Radd acquired great powers and a new version of his original appearance.

JAMES MARSTERS – He is best known for his works connected to Joss Whedon, director of Marvel’s Avengers. His intelligence and skill as an actor make him a prime choice for Norrin Radd. From his voice to his skill as a thespian actor I seriously believe Marsters to be the best choice for the Silver Surfer.

GALACTUS – Galactus is the sole survivor of the universe that existed prior to the current universe. Originally Galactus was a humanoid named Galan, who was born on the planet Taa, a paradise-like world whose civilization is said to have been the most advanced of any of the known universe of that time.

GARY OLDMAN – A legend in the Acting field his voice is iconic with the talent of completely changing his appearance for each film. He has a reputation of playing the most deliciously evil characters of literature and film, while playing, or voicing a supervillains such as Galactus might be a new role for his resume, it’s certainly not one he has played before.

JACK KIRBY/GOD – When the Thing has died, Reed Richards had used Dr.Doom’s Heaven transporter to send the group to heaven on a journey to bring Ben’s soul back from the dead, only to be combated by angels in events that lead them to the doorway of GOD, who had eerily looked like Comic Book Legend JACK “THE KING” KIRBY, who had agreed to draw the Thing back into life, due to the stories still left in is character, but warned the Fantastic Four the heaven transporter won’t work twice.

STAN LEE – Why not tribute The King with an appearance while also serving the fans the obligatory Stan Lee Cameo in one of the most creative and iconic cameo appearance of Stan Lee’s career.

Thanks for looking, I hope you all enjoyed My Fan Cast of the Fantastic Four.

Perfect Thing pick

Stan Lee for Willie Lumpkin

Parsons for Reed is no bueno though.

I like most of these actors, but NONE of them fit their respective roles. Sorry, but this just isn't working.

Agree with Rhys, these seem kinda weak...

- NO WAY! Jim Parsons is too goofy looking. Mister Fantastic is handsome despite being a scientist. Maybe as Caliban, because he's scrawny looking.
- I just can't see Jena Malone as Invisible Woman. I know Ultimate Sue was young, but I just can't see Malone. Isn't she playing Rogue in your X-Men cast? I think Jennifer Morrison could work, since she has experience playing doctors.
- I haven't seen enough of Dragonball Evolution to take the piss out of Justin Chatwin. But he's in a Showtime series called Shameless and that is the talk of the town. I think he could nail Human Torch, because he played a defiant character in War of the Worlds.
- Hmm, Joel Edgerton does look alot like Ben Grimm in human form. I never thought of that. Maybe if time comes, I'll get used to the dude, because I never seen him in any movies.
- Funny I brought up House. Robert would make an interesting Franklin Storm.
- Great original Alicia Masters choice! I've got a few Smallville actors lined up for roles in various Marvel fancasts I have cooking. Allison Mack looks likeable for the role of Alicia.
- I could get used to William H. Macy as Willie Lumpkin. He's got a loveable personality fitting.
- Well, there's ol' Phillip Seymour Hoffman. I wondered when he'd show up. If you want an intelligent Mole Man, then I'd be down for him in the role. But I've always seen Paul Giamatti, because he can bring out the creepiness and the fun from the character.
- Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! Let's not forget that before we slam Keaton as Puppet Master. That is a phenomenal pick, ManOfSteel!
- Never though of Crispin Glover as Red Ghost. But I think a younger Red Ghost would be appreciated. He was chill in Hot Tub Time Machine. Give him a Russian accent, and BOOM!
- Okay, Brandon Routh a natural swimmer? Boy, you people do research like nobody's business! For some reason, I like Sam Witwer, because he looks a little more close to the character, and is a stronger dramatic actor. Then again, Routh is a home run of a choice too!
- Oof, Gaspard is TOO YOUNG for Doctor Doom. Isn't he and Reed Richards close to the same age? Also, an actor with a thicker voice might fit the bill.
- Tony Todd's the man. And the owner of the voice to play any demon. I even thought he did great as the Fallen in Transformers. So he'd be great as Annihilus.
- I nominate Steve Blum as Super Skrull (the voice of Starscream in Transformers: Prime is what I imagine Kl'rt to sound like). Djimon might be good for Power Skrull, perhaps?
- Oh yeah, D'onofrio is iconic alright! And he'd more than likely sound like Uatu if given the chance.
- I think Doug Jones should perform the character again. James Marsters, however, jumped to my top 10 list of actors suited as the voice of Silver Surfer!
- Gary Oldman is a left-field pick for Galactus. But yeah, I love the guy as an actor. His work in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was nothing short of brilliance. Give him the voice modulator, and he'd sound just like Galactus. A thumbs up on originality.
- Stan Lee as God. ALL RIGHT!

It's a shaky cast, and I'd prefer the 616 universe over the Ultimate. But as a whole, you did a smashing job as usual, bring in some startlingly original choices.

You got a perfect Doom for an Ultimate F4, same goes for Ben, but to be honest I'm feeling more like your Alicia choice should be Susan instead of of ms. Sucker Punch.

And your Reed choice is.................NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't care how much of a nerd Reed is he is NOT big bang theory-tard!

Oarsis
Oarsis - 2/2/2012, 2:58 PM
I like the fact you are being original!
Big props to that, for sure!

~For Reed, I don't think Jim is the correct pick...
He is a better comedic, saracastic actor. I couldn't see him doing it...
~Jena is a great actress, no doubt!
She was wonderful in Sucker Punch...But, she may look a tad too young for the role, and a little skinny. I think there are better choices.
I wouldn't mind her as Rogue, like you suggested once!
~Very cool Ben pick! I like it!
~I like you Human Torch pick! It is a good, original, young pick...Who I believe could pull it off!
Nice one!
~Fantastic Alicia pick! She is a wonderful actress.
She could definitely pull off Alicia's caring nature!
~Very nice Puppet Master pick...He looks perfect, and can act his tail off!
~I actually think I like Routh as Namor!
Though he was not a very good Superman, I think he could be a cool Namor! Especially since his hobby is to swim!
Inspiring!
~Gaspard is a fantastic actor! And, as you know, I have him as Gambit...
He is and looks too young for Doom to me though...Maybe in a few years, but honestly, not right now.

Overall, it has some great, and not so great picks.
I am glad you were original!
Keep it up, my friend!

I'm not partial to any of your casts except for Reed and Ben. Sorry, but your Reed choice is one of the worst pics I have ever seen. The picture of the actor and the character even makes it look like the choice was a joke. Joel Edgerton as Ben/Thing is a good choice though.

Crispin Glover pick is a very nice one but most of the rest I honestly just am not feeling.... I love Jim but he's just not right for Mr. Fantastic...

The Thing (sort of), Dr. Doom, Mole Man, and God are brilliantly casted.

Especially the latter.

Mr. Fantastic is an awful choice. I wanted to throw up.

Overall, this is a miss.

I hate to say this, I really do but....
this casting is a MESS and a MISS,

PARSONS as "THE" REED RICHARDS???....
you gotta be kidding me!

STAN LEE as GOD is kinda nice.....

But this is just a no-go.
