They say that clothes make the man and in a superheroes case it is so true. Not every superhero costume can look good on screen while others are perfect. Should costume designers take liberties with the costume or just copy it from page to screen. Well today I will be having a look at the absolute best.
5 Watchmen
Adapting the famed graphic novel was always going to be a hard task. Some even said that it was an impossible task. If Zack Snyder didn't properly recreate these costumes and avoid a certain cheese factor the whole movie could of been undone. Luckily he pulled it off, making the necessary changes to the costumes to avoid them looking bad. personally I think Rorscach and the Comedian's costumes were the best.
4 Hellboy
The look of Hellboy was essential for the film. If the costume wasn't right then the audience wouldn't of been able to appreciate Ron Perlman's performence and the movie would of fell flat. Lucky for use the design crew replicated the costume perfectly.
3 Iron Man
Inspired by the post extremis armour than the tales of suspense version, being a more mash up of individual parts than the mash up that was in tales of suspense,it looked slicker, more stlyish and still remained faithful to its comicbook counterpart. Considering how bad it could of been this is a well deserved spot.
2 Superman
Is there anything more recognisable than the Superman costume. The large cape. The red briefs and the blue tights. Any thing that devoids from this original concept like an absent cape or green boots is not superman and just a mere imitation, also Christopher Reeves is superman.
1 Spider-man
Everybody knows this costume. When Sam Raimi was tasked with bringing this icon to screen he did not disapoint. Spider-man looked like he had just walked straight out of the comicbooks and onto the screen and that's why he is in the number one spot.
