With Josh Trank set to direct the popular anti-hero, here is my Venom fan cast for Sony Pictures SPIDER-VERSE.
Mind that previous cast returns involve: Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Chris Zylka as Flash Thompson, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, Peter's Parents, Rhys Ifans as Dr. Connors
CAST
Eddie Brock Jr./Venom - Joe Manganiello
Having played a previous role in Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy as Flash Thompson (Who later does become Venom), Joe has the talent, build and the tone to play the character in a sinister way, rather than Topher Grace. I believe this could be his break out role as the alien anti-hero.
Norman Osborn - Jason Isaacs
Having played Lucius Malfoy perfectly to what I had imagined in the Harry Potter films, Isaacs has the talent, sinisterness and believability too portray Osborn in this series of films (including the normal Spidey trilogy).
Edward Brock Sr. - Jeffery Dean Morgan
The abusive scientist father of Eddie. Morgan shares facial looks to Joe and would blow away the audience as Eddies dad, in flashbacks at Oscorp with the parents of the lead roles.
Cletus Cassidy/Carnage
Jackie Earle Hayley can pull of this psychotic serial killer easily, after blowing away cinema-goers as Rorshack, he can play the demonic killer in an instant.
Madame Web - Helena Bonham Carter
I believe this mind bending actress could pull off almost any role and make it her own. With a little bit of prosthetics and hair dye, Carter could make this comic book demon a big screen sensation.
