Thor 2
The second installment of 2011's hit movie, which I loved has many elements to explore. Asgard expands much further out then the world of our own and it should be explained very strong. We still don't have a director, even though Kenneth Branagh would have been great for a sequel, but the writer of the first Thor is still on board.
First Things first in Thor we went to Midgard, Asgard and Jotunheim, since Thor will be a trilogy it is only right to explore the other six realms which include:
Vanaheim-Home of The Vanir Gods
Alfheim-Home of The Light Elves
Nidavellir-Home of The Dwarves
Svartalfheim-Home of The Dark Elves
Hel-Where Asgardians go when they die
Muspelheim-Home of The Fire Demons
I love how they captured Jotunheim and Asgard in Thor, and to a lesser extent Midgard because I already live here, but still the way the worlds were captured was visually great, kind of Avatar-esqe.
The sequel should explore at most 3 of these realms and the last three could be left for The last Thor film. Another thing I would like to see in Thor 2 is an introduction to some new villains and still include Loki. Like possibly seeing The Enchantress(Diora Baird, Alice Eve, Amanda Seyfried), The Executioner(???), Hela(???) or Surtur(???).
Also, I'm not saying it should be action packed because Thor had great dialouge and a great story but the rule of thirds should be taken in process. My favorite battle in Thor was Thor, Lady Sif, Loki & The Warrior Three vs. The Frost Giants. Now as movies move on they should really expand their action, like in The Matrix trilogy the fight sequences were longer and better in each movie and the final battle between the rebels v. the sentinels and Neo v. Agent Smith was my favorite battle of the whole trilogy. So I loved Thor but take into place that a warriors work is never done.
Of course the return of Loki must go into play. Him and Thor constantly bickering and his trickery knowing no end has always been a key factor in Thor protecting Asgard, plus Loki is my favorite villain and an evil mastermind, so his plans in Thor 2 could be very devious.
Introductions to some new characters such as Balder The Brave(???), Ymir(???) and such, Oh yeah and BETA RAY BILL
Keep exploring the mystic arts of Marvels Mythology, with everything in Odin's vault, The Destroyer and Sleipnir. Show us Odins ravens and the possible new Bi-Frost.
Another thing is in this whole article I have been calling the movie Thor 2, does that sound right to you, the number thing works for some movie like Iron Man 2 and 3, X-Men 2 and 3, The Green Lantern 2, those all sound good together but to me Thor 2 doesn't sound right. They should do a Lord Of The Rings approach and give it a sub title, suggestions? Thor: Prince Of Asgard, Thor The Thunderer, The Mighty Thor, Thor The Reigning.
Also of course since this will be released after The Avengers, some easter eggs will be nice, its main focus should be being a solo film but some hints at the events of the Avengers would be great. As well as the original cast returning which I'm pretty sure of because Marvel locks these actors in.
Otherwise 2013 is looking great for Marvel, its a year after their epic Avengers film, also with Iron Man 3, Dr. Strange and possibly more films being released in the same year Marvel is looking up.
Thor 2 will be released July 26th, 2013
