Why Sentinel Prime Should Return in Transformers 4

With Transformers 4 yet to have Ethan Kruger get started on the script, this article should fairly explain to all of us on why Sentinel Prime should return in the 4th installment of the Transformers films and how he will be involved in the sequel to Transformers Dark of the Moon.

Now as we await Michael Bay and Ethan Kruger to get ready on the script to for the sequel Transformers 4, now is a good time to inform them on bringing Sentinel Prime back as a reformed autobot character.

As Sentinel Prime appeared in Transformers Dark of the Moon, he was former leader and founder of the autobot forces before Optimus Prime. He appeared on the moon inside the autobot ship called The Arc with 5 pillars. After the encounter with Shockwave in Chernobyl, Optimus and Ratchet flew up to the moon to bring him down to Earth to bring him back to life so that Sentinel can be met in person by the humans in honor for being the founder of the autobots. So far, Sentinel cooperated and admired the planet Earth peaceful, but when Sam started to obsess over Laserbeak assassinating humans, Sentinel did the one thing that disappointed the audience; betraying the autobots over Cyberton.

From the moment Sentinel betrayed the autobots by killing Ironhide and by bringing down an army of decepticons from the moon, he stole Shockwave’s role as the main villain and none of us know what specifically made him choose to betray Optimus, the autobots, and the humans over a planet and believe me, I don’t take “survival of our race” for an excuse. Whatever reason Sentinel Prime had for his betrayal has something to do with the war back on Cybertron that whatever the decepticons had that made them gain the advantage over the autobots is sure to turn up in the sequel. But wait, here’s a clue to what we will expect to find out in the fourth installment as we take a good look at this clip from Transformers Prime.

The fact that Ratchet mentioned that the decepticons were the real geniuses behind space bridge technology could be a possible spoiler for the sequel. It would reveal that Sentinel lied to everyone that he designed the Space Bridge Pillars that they were designed by one of the decepticons. Once Optimus Prime finds out from Skyquake, the main villain of the upcoming fourth film, that his plans with the pillars are what drove Sentinel into betraying the good guys, Optimus will be sure to bring Sentinel Prime back to life again with the Matrix, not just for Sentinel to make up for everything he has done in Dark of the Moon but because he would have all the answers that Optimus, Override, and the other autobots need to know before the decepticon’s wipe out the entire planet’s military defenses. Surely if you don’t believe that I’m serious, then you people don’t seem to understand about Transformers. Take Barricade for example. After disappearing in the final battle of the first movie and being absent in the second film, Michael Bay was kind enough to bring him back in the third film so that we wouldn’t keep questioning him about the character. That’s why he will be sure to have Sentinel Prime return as a reformed autobot, because when something like his betrayal was not explained enough, there is always a clear and specific answer in the sequel. I mean, don’t you think it’s harsh not to have Sentinel Prime return to justify his actions? How else would the 4th film make sense after the events in Dark of the Moon?

And if Sentinel Prime does return, Leonard Nimoy will reprise his role as the character and there will be new autobot characters appearing that Sentinel shared his secret about making the deal with Megatron like Powerglide, an aircraft autobot who is expected to appear in the first military base the Predators target who should be able to rendezvous with the resurrected Sentinel Prime to tell him and the other autobots in Optimus Prime’s crew along with the surviving N.E.S.T. soldiers about the decepticons. Either way, Sentinel will be expected to return whether any of you are fine with it or not! Deep down, you will all know I am right.

PS, if any of you have something to say about Unicron, he is considered to appear in the fifth and final installment, because right now we want Transformers 4 to focus on the cause of the events in Transformers Dark of the Moon. Besides Sentinel’s betrayal, the other unexplained question is when did the decepticons arrive on Earth before the Space Race event? The events from the third movie revealed secrets that occurred 50 years ago from the film’s present day, so for how many years ago did the decepticons come to earth before they enslaved most of the people who know about the Arc, well with Transformers 4 taking place in 2014, let’s say we aim for a hundred! FYI, 1914.

No. I still say they should leave it at a trilogy. The first movie was excellent, the second could've been better and (in my opinion) Dark of the Moon was the best. They ended the trilogy better than I could've hoped, the should not mess it up by bringing in a fourth movie to continue after Dark of the Moon. It just messes everything up!
