This fan script is based on the comics and other sources, including the direct to DVD animated feature, and is how I would introduce Wonder Woman in an origin film. Enjoy!

I'm going to take a day off to read this. So far (20 pages), I'm liking it. Strangely interesting (considering that Wonder Woman is usually a pass for me). Very glad to see someone who knows how to write a screenplay and tell a good story. Good dialogue, as well. Nothing felt too preachy or "eye–rolling–worthy".

Thanks for the compliments and feedback so far.

jpfola26: I definitely wanted there to be an edge, but I also shoot for more fantastic elements that are traditional superhero fare. Diana is young, but the world around her is not. I want that to come across.

You're using the same villains as mine will! I didn't read the whole thing, but I will, and comment again. If you make a third, will you use Circe? Mine will.

comiccow6: Circe plays a role in this one. :o)

Circe is an untapped resource that nobody uses, nice that you included her. As for the story one of the best Wonder Woman stories up here. I like that you are using a younger version of her to get that naive feel to her character.

I'm thinking about a Wonder Woman Fancast. Because I'm building a DC universe Fancast. So I created a poll with four potential actresses that I'm considering for this role.

Great Job, man!!! So are you going to make your own DC Universe now or was this just for fun?

MovieGuy2178: As of right now, I don't have any plans to expand on the universe, besides possibly writing a sequel to this one. AKA - I don't plan on writing Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, etc... Plans do change, however.

joeguy23: I agree that Circe is underutilized. And thanks for the feedback! It is very much appreciated.

Nice work man. Nice to see a real screenplay posted with a complete story. This could totally be a movie! Keep up the good work!

jpfola26: RE: the cabbie scene - Although Diana is naive, and has never even seen a man before Steve in this screenplay, I don't think she would use the term "sister" when addressing a male. Even if she did, I think it would be confusing to audiences as to why she would make such a mistake. The joke may be slightly repetitive, but I think that the scene is a minor one, mainly there to get her from point A to point B while exploring certain cultural differences. I think it also puts a bow on that section by using circular writing, where we begin and end at a similar thematic note.

The links you posted appear to me as text. I will have to check back here later to see if the links appear via edit or a new post.

jpfola26: That line as written is how I intended it. The implication is that their plan is to do to them something worse than death, and that they will beg the Amazons for death to end their misery.

Splenda: I did this for fun. I hope you have fun reading it.

Splenda: Actually, I didn't write it for that reason. I may have posted it to this website for that reason, but I honestly just wrote it for the fun of it. I have a degree in screenwriting, but have recently written a couple of books, and haven't been able to get anything published. It's been frustrating and my confidence in myself was very low because I haven't made it as a writer as I thought I would. I needed to take on a project just for the joy of it, and not because I was trying to make it or get noticed. I first discovered my love of writing in middle school while writing fan fiction, so I decided that might be a good way to rekindle the spark in my soul.

That's why I wrote this. I wrote one draft, never intending on writing another, and did it in two weeks. I'm saying this not to suggest "oh, look at how good I am, I can do this in 2 weeks". On the contrary, whatever flaws are there, I acknowledge and accept. But I never wanted this project to be "work" if that makes sense. I wrote this totally for fun, because I wanted to enjoy writing again and I knew these characters and I love them so much that I thought this would be a good way to do it.

So, to pull this back around to your comment, yes, I wrote this for fun. Maybe my impetus for posting it was more than that, but there it is.
