Now I'm not one of those folks who TOTALLY hates the SINGER/FOX X-MEN 1
movie. It's got it's flaws but it blew my mind when it first came out way
back in 2000. It was pretty good movie-making at the time and was more
like superheroes should be, more realistic.

The story that TOM DESANTO wrote and SINGER added to was basically sound,
the war between the X-MEN & PROFESSOR X and MAGNETO & THE
BROTHERHOOD OF MUTANTS but there were changes given to characters,
such as ROGUE being a young woman and not a slightly older member of a
group of thieves, that I didn't like. I know they did it for their “young
girl afflicted” story-line but I think they could have done the story and
still kept ROGUE her correct older age. I think they should have added GAMBIT to the mix, as well.
ROGUE & GAMBIT should have had their romance added to the plot, not made
WOLVERINE her confidante and protector. JUBILEE is WOLVERINE'S young
sidekick, not ROGUE.

I REALLY HATE IT when movie-makers really screw with the storyline &
characters of comic books! Singer REALLY SCREWED with some of the X-MEN.
It's OK to tweak the characters a bit to fit the movies but SINGER
completely rewrote characters & storylines and ruined several
character's WELL-ESTABLISHED stories.

I'd like to see a younger-looking MAGNETO, IAN MCKELLAN looked really
ancient in X-MEN 1. Yes, “MAGS” is old and went through the NAZI
concentration camps but the comics illustrate him looking NOT SO
ANCIENT.

Photobucket

CYCLOPS needs to be 6'3”. They had to give JAMES MARSDEN (5'11”)
ridiculous lift-boots (that was highly apparent at times) and have him
stand on crates to make him taller than JACKMAN, who is 6'2”. WOLVERINE
is listed at 5'3”, CYCLOPS is listed at 6'3”, actors closer to the
right sizes is BADLY NEEDED.

I would make this storyline similar, with mutant rights and PROFESSOR X &
MAGNETO squaring-off over their divergent philosophies concerning mutants.
And the government trying to oppress mutant-kind.
Of course this storyline can be directly related to civil rights struggles of all types.

The ending, though, would be more of a “Battle Royale” than a damsel in distress.

THE X-MEN continuity needs to be constant, unlike FOX'S utterly
muddled-up, screwed-up, and just plain ridiculous continuity, I mean
RIDICULOUS!!!

There is no reason that the X-CHARACTERS can't be basically who they are
in the comics! So I prefer they stay as close to the comic's characters
as possible!
I would start with this movie and keep the same continuity for all the
sequels, under MARVEL/DISNEY.

X-MEN 1 REBOOT CASTING:

Photobucket

J. J. ABRAMS always keeps true to the source material but still makes the old
material somehow very FRESH!

DIRECTOR:
J. J. ABRAMS
Photobucket

TERRY O'QUINN is a terrific actor and has a tough father-type persona that fits
PROFFESOR X to a “T”.

TERRY O'QUINN: THE STEPFATHER (FILM), LOST, HAWAII 5-0 (TV)

PROFESSOR X (CHARLES XAVIER):
TERRY O'QUINN
Photobucket

COLM FEORE also has a tough father-figure vibe, just watch him on TV'S 24.
I'm not just choosing bald guys here, these actors truly fit the characters.
COLM isn't completely bald and neither is TERRY.

COLM FEORE: CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, THOR (FILM)

PROFFESOR X (CHARLES XAVIER):
COLM FEORE
Photobucket

ALICIA WITT is a very fine actress and looks just like JEAN GREY from the comics.
And she has plenty of BOOBAGE, like the comic's JEAN GREY.

ALICIA WITT: DUNE, URBAN LEGEND, VANILLA SKY (FILM), THE SAPRANOS,
TWO AND A HALF MEN, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, THE MENTALIST (TV)

JEAN GREY: ALICIA WITT
Photobucket

Some folks seem to think that CYCLOPS is nothing but a serious and humorless
character but CYCLOPS was written by great writers as much more complex.
Yes, he is serious about his responsibility of leading the X-MEN in the field but
he has a sense of humor too. So a totally serious stiff actor is not what is needed
for SCOTT SUMMERS but someone more rounded. I believe JUSTIN HARTLEY is
the exact actor needed for him. Not too old, not too young and exactly the right height
(6'3”) & build.

JUSTIN HARTLEY: SMALLVILLE, CASTLE (TV)

CYCLOPS (SCOTT SUMMERS):
JUSTIN HARTLEY
Photobucket

BOOBS, BODY & BRITISH ACTRESS, the 3 B'S to play STORM, the TRIFECTA in
my book! MARSHA THOMASON is the beauty with brains to play ORORO MUNROE.

MARSHA THOMASON: THE HAUNTED MANSION (FILM), LOST, LIFE, WHITE
COLLAR (TV)

STORM (ORORO MUNROE):
MARSHA THOMASON
Photobucket

STORM:
MARSHA THOMASON

Of all the actors suggested I feel CHRISTIAN KANE has the perfect build (short,
straight-featured face, muscular, hairy) and the perfect 'tude for the “RUNT” with
the ADAMANTIUM CLAWS.

CHRISTIAN KANE: ANGEL, LEVERAGE (TV)

WOLVERINE (JAMES “LOGAN” HOWLETT):
CHRISTIAN KANE
Photobucket

KATHERYN WINNICK played DAVID BOREANAZ' beautiful girlfriend on
FOX TV'S “BONES” with great depth and she played a two-faced black-ops
woman who tried to kill NIKITA on the WB'S NIKITA series starring MAGGIE
Q. KATHERYN is gorgeous, blond, blue-eyed, tall (5'8”) & has a tight body
earned through practicing martial arts. She has a third degree black belt in TAE
KWON DO (KOREAN KARATE). I say she's damn near perfect for EMMA
FROST.

KATHERYN WINNICK: FAILURE TO LAUNCH, KILLERS (FILM), BONES,
NIKITA (TV)

EMMA FROST (EMMA GRACE FROST):
KLATHERYN WINNICK
Photobucket

EMMA FROST:
KATHERYN WINNICK

STEVE BACIC played the younger HANK once in FOX'S X-2, he qualifies to play the
older now! Besides I like him! lol

STEVE BACIC: X2 (FILM), ANDROMEDA, SMALLVILLE (TV)

BEAST (HENRY “HANK” MCCOY):
STEVE BACIC
Photobucket

I used to have ELIZA DUSHKU as ROGUE. But now that I have her as WASP I've
chosen a new sexy and excellent actress who can capture the street-smart
thief persona of ROGUE, LYNDSY FONSECA.

LYNDSY FONSECA: KICK-ASS (FILM), BIG LOVE, NIKITA (TV)

ROGUE (ANNA MARIE):
LYNDSY FONSECA
Photobucket

I'm POSITIVE MATT can play the hell out of this character! He looks like
a little older TAYLOR KITSCH, except he's a far better actor.

MATTHEW BOMER: WHITE COLLAR (TV)

GAMBIT (REMY ETIENNE LEBEAU):
MATTHEW BOMER
Photobucket

JAMIE CHUNG is dead-on perfect for the “ASIAN” ELIZABETH BRADDOCK.
She's a martial arts wiz, has a tough edge to her and, man, is she hot!

JAMIE CHUNG: DRAGONBALL: EVOLUTION, SUCKER PUNCH, THE
HANGOVER PART II (FILM)

PSYLOCKE (ELIZABETH “BETSY” BRADDOCK):
JAMIE CHUNG
Photobucket

I think RUPERT FRIEND is ideal for a younger, more agile, NIGHTCRAWLER.
He looks a lot like him.

RUPERT FRIEND: PRIDE & PREJUDICE, THE BOY IN THE STRIPED
PAJAMAS (FILM)

NIGHTCRAWLER (KURT WAGNER):
RUPERT FRIEND
Photobucket

Come on, just look at the illustration! She'd be a wonderful slightly older KITTY
PRIDE.

PEYTON LIST: FLASHFORWARD, SMALLVILLE (TV)

SHADOWCAT (KITTY PRIDE):
PEYTON LIST
Photobucket

6'5' and he can really act! He could easily do the RUSSIAN accent with
help from a dialect coach. This needs to be an actual “SPEAKING PART”.

ARMIE HAMMER: THE SOCIAL NETWORK (FILM)

COLOSSUS (PIOTR NIKOLAIEVICH RASPUTIN):
ARMIE HAMMER
Photobucket

Yeah I know, EMMA may not be WELSH but her being BRITISH is close enough.
I just know she can do a WELSH accent well.

EMMA WATSON: THE HARRY POTTER MOVIES

PIXIE (MEGAN GWYNN):
EMMA WATSON
Photobucket

BOBBY'S kind of flippant and a joker, MIKE VOGEL has played THAT very
well. This will be the older ICEMAN.

MIKE VOGEL: SHE'S OUT OF MY LEAGUE

ICEMAN (BOBBY DRAKE): MIKE VOGEL
Photobucket

She's as cute as a button, a dead ringer for JUBILATION LEE!

JULIA LING: CHUCK (TV)

JUBILEE (JUBILATION LEE):
JULIA LING
Photobucket

TEDDY is tall, blonde, “pretty” but tough, exactly like WARREN WORTHINGTON
III. He's a damn fine actor!

TEDDY SEARS: A SINGLE MAN (FILM), THE DEFENDERS, TORCHWOOD,
AMERICAN HORROR STORY (TV)

ANGEL/ARCHANGEL (WARREN WORTHINGTON III):
TEDDY SEARS
Photobucket

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS:

I had LAURA as SNOWBIRD in my ALPHA FLIGHT FANCAST but I think she fits
better here as LORNA DANE, MAGNETO'S magnetic daughter. I've got another
CANADIAN actress in mind for SNOWBIRD. Also LAURA can better play the
wicked “MALICE”, when that disembodied female mutant villain takes over her body, in X-MEN 2.

LAURA VANDERVOORT: SMALLVILLE

POLARIS (LORNA DANE):
LAURA VANDERVOORT
Photobucket

TRAVIS VAN WINKLE has been good in all the roles I've seen him in and
would be great for the volatile ALEX SUMMERS. He looks like he could be
JUSTIN HARTLEY'S brother.

TRAVIS VAN WINKLE: TRANSFORMERS, MEET THE SPARTANS, FRIDAY THE 13TH
(FILM)

HAVOK (ALEXANDER “ALEX” SUMMERS):
TRAVIS VAN WINKLE
Photobucket

This is right up ROONEY MARA'S alley! She would be scary as the lupine RAHNE
SINCLAIR.

ROONEY MARA: THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO.

WOLFSBANE (RAHNE SINCLAIR):
ROONEY MARA
Photobucket

EWAN is the spitting image.

EWAN MCGREGOR: STAR WARS: EPISODES I, II, III, BLACK HAWK DOWN
(FILM)

BANSHEE (SEAN CASSIDY):
EWAN MCGREGOR
Photobucket

FINOLA is a wonderful veteran British character actress.

FINOLA HUGHES: STAYING ALIVE (FILM), GENERATION X, SUPERMAN:
THE LAST SON OF KRYPTON (VOICE), CHARMED (TV), ALL-STAR
SUPERMAN (VOICE) (VIDEO)

MOIRA MAC TAGGERT:
FINOLA HUGHES
Photobucket

ANTAGONISTS:

LIAM NEESON = MAGNETO. MAGNETO in the comics doesn't look ancient like
SIR IAN MCKELLAN. He looks more like LIAM!

LIAM NEESON: TAKEN, CLASH OF THE TITANS, THE GREY (FILM)

MAGNETO (ERIK LENSHERR):
LIAM NEESON
Photobucket

MAGNETO:
LIAM NEESON
Photobucket

MYSTIQUE has “THE BOD” and so does ALI LARTER. Plus ALI can play the bad-
girl MAGNIFICENTLY!

ALI LARTER: FINAL DESTINASTION, RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE,
RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION

MYSTIQUE (RAVEN DARKHOLME):
ALI LARTER
Photobucket

ALEXANDER SKARSGARD, 6'4”.

ALEXANDER SKARSGARD: GENERATION KILL, TRUE BLOOD (TV)

SABRETOOTH (VICTOR CREED):
ALEXANDER SKARSGARD
Photobucket

EVA MENDES: TRAINING DAY, 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS, GHOST RIDER (FILM)

ARCLIGHT (PHILLIPA SONTAG):
EVA MENDES
Photobucket

TOAD needs to be more of a “toady-type” guy than a martial arts master, more of
a weaselly MAGNETO henchman with some humor. SETH GREEN is strangely a
dead ringer for the first TOAD in SINGER'S movie, except he can actually ACT,
with a great comedic timing.

SETH GREEN: KNOCKAROUND GUYS, AUSTIN POWERS IN GOLDMEMBER,
OLD DOGS (FILM)

TOAD (MORTIMER TOYNBE):
SETH GREEN
Photobucket

Photobucket

JAMIE BELL would give an “incendiary” performance as ST. JOHN ALLERDYCE.

JAMIE BELL: KING KONG, FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS, DEFIANCE (FILM)

PYRO (ST. JOHN ALLERDYCE):
JAMIE BELL
Photobucket

CONAN STEVENS, 7” tall. And he's a pretty good actor!

CONAN STEVENS: GAME OF THRONES (TV)

JUGGERNAUT (CAIN MARKO):
CONAN STEVENS
Photobucket

Between the bookend giants CONAN STEVENS & NATHAN JONES, CONAN is the
better thespian, so I've switched to CONAN for CAIN.

I see you're doing X-Men again. What, are you starting over from scratch or something? Well, time to start judging.

- Terry Quinn is a great alternative pick for Professor X. He does look like he has that warm sensibility.
- Sorry, I don't like Justin Hartley as Cyclops. Even if he's 6'3" and knows some martial arts, he has the Chris Pine syndrome of being too much a jokey kind of guy. Go with him if you want, it's your cast. But I like him as Gambit, seeing as he can play smooth criminals.
- You went with Marsha Thomason as Storm? Even when you didn't like when I suggested it first? Kinda weird. But I'm glad you went with someone tall and not too American. Of course, Storm isn't British though!
- I liked when you used Jon Hamm and David Boreanaz as Beast before. I don't think you can recycle actors from a previous X-Men movie universe.
- Matt Bomer came out of the closet. I don't think he's appropriate for a straight superhero.
- I found an Asian-American actress who stands at 5'9". Gemma Chan.

- Hmm, maybe it's me, but I'd like Kitty Pryde to start out young. My picks would be Shailene Woodley or Sarah Hyland (who looks exactly like Kitty Pryde when she was drawn back in the 60's).

- Julia Ling's great, but a tad too old for Jubilee.
- Even though I like Trevor Donovan (believe me, a few acting classes and he can nail the Archangel persona), I wouldn't be against Teddy Sears.
- Interesting choice for Polaris! Never thought of it. And yes, she has the martial arts skills for Malice.
- Nah, I liked it when you had Garrett Hedlund as Havok. Travis van Winkle is much more suited for Human Torch, IMO.
- Gotta give props to Rooney Mara for her first Oscar nod! I think Wolfsbane is meant to be bustier (according to someone around here), but since Mara nailed a good accent in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, that's only one slight subtraction.
- Guess Damian Lewis ran the gamut round here as Banshee. But I like Ewen McGreggor, he's got the accent (Scottish and Irish sound the same to me).
- I don't want to spoil anything, but for my future X-Men cast, I'm planning on casting Frances McDormand as Moira MacTaggert. Maybe because of Transformers, she's now open to do CBM's. And with her role as the concerned mother in Almost Famous - an award-winning role I heard - she can definitely nail MacTaggert's personality. She can also do accents (Fargo, Madagascar 3). What do YOU think, though?
- I've thought about Liam Neeson as Mags once when I thought about casting Mark Strong as Professor X. But I wanted Ralph Fiennes as the latter role (I've seen shots of Fiennes with a more defined chin, especially the one I used for my old X-Men cast), and Jeremy Irons for Magneto. Plus, Liam is my pick for Kang the Conqueror (he looks like the character's human forms the most). I'll think about it, I'm still working on the cast, though.
- IronKnight will be happy to see you cast Ali Larter as Mystique, since he did the same thing you did.

I have no problem with the rest of the choices. Alot of work went into this. Too bad you didn't continue with an X-Men 4, but I wanna see where you go with THIS run.

Stick around for my upcoming X-Men cast as well.

Oarsis - 3/10/2012, 2:01 PM
VERY NICE @DDD!

I like it, I like it a lot!

I really LOVE your Storm choice!
She is a great actress, and has the perfect look! So, nice one there!

I also must say, Katheryn Winnick is AMAZING!
I now have her as the Black Canary, which is original!
So, no more Yvonne Strahovski!

And, I wanted to get your opinion on a new pick for X-23 I have, which is also original...
Gia Mantegna:

I think she is a great actress, and has a great look...and is only 21.
I may not use her...I will probably keep India Eisley, I am just whoring this one around, haha!

Great job!

Oarsis
Oarsis - 3/10/2012, 2:08 PM
@RoadDog...You like Shailene as Shadowcat now?
Cool!
I am glad my choice is getting around now!

And, I like your choice as well!
I would find a different picture of her, only because she looks insane there, when she is actually very pretty!
ager
ager - 3/10/2012, 2:30 PM
Alright, I'm going to go at this Roaddog@ style because you have so many picks

!st, If this is truer to the comics why are they not starting out younger? Where are Thunderbird and Sunfire?

X- Either one is fime but if your going to go with Neeson pick Colm to offset the size of Neeson.
Jean- Always a good choice
Cyke- A favorite of yours I see. He's a good choice. I like him
Storm- What about Goode? Why the change?
Wolv- That's your pick, no fighting it
Queen- Liking this
Beast- Such a hard character to do justice. He doesn't seem a good fit to me.
Rogue- Popular for a reason
Gambit- Another staple pick of yours. He's great
Psylocke- A fine choice
Night- What about Goode? That was a favorite of mine from you
Col and Cat- ok, if your putting them closer in age to alleviate creepiness, it works

The rest are great. The stand outs are Neeson, given your reasoning, Mendez and Mara

ager
ager - 3/10/2012, 2:31 PM

RunDTC

really good. I like all of them except for Armie Hammer as Colossus.
MrCameron
MrCameron - 3/10/2012, 8:16 PM
Great work. You never fail to impress. My only criticism is Armie Hammer as Colossus. He just doesn't work for me (he's too American looking IMO). Owain Yeoman (sp?) or Liam Hemmsworth are my picks.

But the rest of your cast is PERFECT. We even have the same choices for Magneto and Sabretooth!

@RoadDogXXIV
A gay man can't play a straight role? Why the hell not?
MikeZ
MikeZ - 3/11/2012, 12:50 AM
@ tweeeeenkies3

I have problems with her height (she's 5'8", so she's a tall 'un), but Shailene just entered her 20's, so she's definitely young enough.

And yeah, Sarah's eyes are bugging out in that picture. But Kitty's eyes looked pretty big in shots of her from the earliest X-Men comics. I'm going with Sarah because she's dainty enough, looks like Kitty, and reminds me a bit of Michelle Trachenberg - a fan favorite for the character, but is now too old - in Geek Charming and Modern Family.

@ Furrerminator

OptimusPrime114 passed me a message on the Superhero Hype! message boards that Armie Hammer is of Russian ancestry.

@ soundwave129

You're right, actually. Neil Patrick Harris is now gay, yet his character in How I Met Your Mother is still straight. Although I don't like watching sitcoms with laugh tracks.
TheSoulEater
TheSoulEater - 3/11/2012, 1:31 AM
Only choices I'm not crazy about are your Xavier ones.

Your Cyclops, Storm and Sabertooth are dead on, as well as Mystique and especially your Banshee, very inspired.
DDD
DDD - 3/11/2012, 1:46 AM
Hey, ROADDOG@, bud,
thanks for the critique and comments.

Yeah, I'm going to stick with JUSTIN,
he can play very serious but I think
CYCLOPS should have bit of humor 'cause
he does in the comics. Justin Hartley
was the best thing on SMALLVILE (besides
ERICA DURANCES body).

I seriously don't remember talking with you
about MARSHA THOMASON playing ORORO. But
that's probably where the seed was sewn in
my brain to cast her. South African is
close to BRITISH in accents but MARSHA
does accents brilliantly. She's doing a
fantastic AMERICAN accent on WHITE COLLAR.

Nobody remembers BACIC in X2 but if he was good
as a younger BEAST in X2 he would be great as
HANK in a reboot. It was a small role so no one
will remember if he's used again as BEAST.

Uh, I didn't see where BOMER came out of the
closet. That was a rumor that I think he dispelled.
But gay guys play heterosexual guys all the time
in TV and movies. What does it matter? I believe
BOMER would make a fantastic REMY.

JULIA LING plays girls much younger than what she
is.

ANGEL is tall and lanky just like SEARS. He's the
spitting image of ANGEL from the comics.

I have GARRETT HEDLUND for GHOST RIDER so I
switched to TRAVIS for HAVOC. TRAVIS' dramatic
performance on TV'S CSI: MIAMI was exactly the same
as the explosive HAVOC.

Ya know, in SINGERS X-MEN 1 it went right into
the X-MEN and didn't show them at other ages. I
was thinking the same thing. So I went with the bit older KITTY of nowadays, like the ASTONISHING X-MEN.

FRANCES MCDORMAND can play ANYBODY, she's that good!
Of course she can play MOIRA.

Well, I didn't do an X-MEN ACCURATE #4 because usually
series run in threes. So I went back to the X-mythos that's already been presented at FOX and tweaked it
to be a little more accurate (such as GAMBIT with a
little bit older ROGUE).

I believe that LIAM NEESON is the spitting image
(both looks & persona) of MAGNETO from the comics
and I think he would make a definitive MAGNETO.
I mean just look at my pictures. lol

So thanks ROADDOG@!

I'LL LOOK for your X-CAST. Can't wait!
DDD
DDD - 3/11/2012, 3:06 AM
Thanks TWEEEEENKIES@!

Yeah, JOE MANTEGNA'S daughter would make a fine
X-23.
DDD
DDD - 3/11/2012, 3:19 AM
AGER@ I already did the ACCURATE X-MEN fancasts.

This is a reboot of the basic X-MEN 1 movie.
It didn't have THUNDERBIRD or SUNFIRE. This may
be truer but it's following the first X-MEN
movie script more closely.

Yeah, I was leaning towards COLM because of LIAM'S
size.

I changed to FRIEND because MATTHEW GOODE is 6'2
and NIGHTCRAWLER is smaller and more agile.

Yup, that's what I did with PIOTR & KITTY.

Man, I really love the NEESON for MAGS. He
would be the definitive MAGNETO.

I'll certainly check your APOCALYPSE CASTING
ASAP!
DDD
DDD - 3/11/2012, 3:21 AM
Thanks RUN@!
Thanks Very Much!
DDD
DDD - 3/11/2012, 3:23 AM
Thanks WOLVERINESFURY@,

Yup, LIAM is perfect for MAGS in a reboot.
DDD
DDD - 3/11/2012, 3:30 AM
FURERMINATOR@,

ARMIE HAMMER is the grandson of INDUSTRIALIST ARMAND
HAMMER who is a billionaire. He came to AMERICA from RUSSIA.

I think ARMIE is perfect for PIOTR and looks exactly
like COLOSSUS from the comics.

OWAIN YEOMAN (6'4") & LIAM HEMSWORTH (6'3") are too
small for COLOSSUS, I think.
DDD
DDD - 3/11/2012, 3:30 AM
Thanks SOULEATER@,
Thank You Very Much!
Oarsis
Oarsis - 3/11/2012, 5:05 AM
@RoadDog...Height does not bother me, unless the characters height makes who that character is, such as Wolverine...
If they are a little bit over, or under I am ok with it, because Hollywood can do wonders with makeup, and camera trickery!

And, I think Sarah is a great choice, for sure!
She is cute as hell! I like it!

@DDD....No problem!

I am glad you like her! I may not use her, only because I LOVE India Eisley....
But, I am thinking about it!
MrBlueSky
MrBlueSky - 3/11/2012, 12:09 PM
Sorry that I didn't comment on this sooner. Buthere's what I have to say that about your picks for both Professor X's, Wolfsbane (I have Mara as Lilith in my upcoming Ghost Rider cast), and Banshee (personally prefer Kevin McKidd):

I have to admit that I like Singer's X-Men movies despite their flaws and that Bryan Singer is one of my bfavorite directors *que everybody crucifying me for having an opinion*. Anyway, I have a Hulk cast that'll be up by tomorrow and I'll send you another email and respond to it when you have the chance.

Anyway, thumbs up!
TheManWithBigEars
TheManWithBigEars - 3/11/2012, 12:57 PM
Brilliant cast! Wow! Just incredible, can hardly fault you, I guess great minds think alike too; we've got the same Juggernaut pick lol...

Only changes I'd make would b Cyclops, Beast n Wolverine; I'm not a big fan of Hartley, so would prefer someone different, the actor you got for Beast physically looks the part, but he doesn't seem like he could pull of the intellectual side for it, as for Wolverine, I used 2 see Christian Kane in the role, but since 'Warrior' I'm on Team Tom Hardy, other than that really solid cast; not a fan of every pick you have, but they work with the others you've cast, nice stuff!

Im actually working on a X-Men cast myself, though I'm going for a younger, more 'Ultimates' inspired cast, anyway, having a bit of trouble casting a young Forge n Gambit; ideally I'm looking for actors in their early to mid 20's, also having a bit of trouble casting Multiple Man; any suggestions for him?

Well, forgetting that, hope u can check out my Fantastic Four cast!
Hellsing
Hellsing - 3/11/2012, 1:26 PM
This might make me sound like an ass hole but frankly I don't care, you talk about how the singers version was realistic yet you have a go at him because he cast a dude that looked old, well if your being realistic then you would cast a dude that looks ancient. Makes no sense and kinda portrays you as a hypocrite. Whilst you are undoubtedly one of the best fan casters on this site you seem to be more obsessed with an actors height rather than acting ability, you don't have to be that OCD about height and shit. Yes it is very important but so is you know the acting ability.

The only choices I dislike are Hartley as Cyclops and Vogel as Iceman, Iceman should be alot younger or should be the same age as your rogue pick.
Hellsing
Hellsing - 3/11/2012, 1:27 PM
Your wolverine pick is great but I'm on the Hardy band wagon

I'll look for your HULK-CAST.
DDD

Thanks BIGEARS@!

Look forward to your X-CAST!

Multiple Man is a little older than the rest so
I like JAMIE BAMBER (APOLLO from BATTLESTAR
GALACTICA).

I'll look for your FF cast.
DDD
DDD - 3/11/2012, 2:58 PM
HELLSING@ BOBBY is a little younger than CYCLOPS,
JEAN, etc., yet older than ROGUE. My actor is
about that age. I don't see the problem.

In the comics MAGNETO doesn't seem to age as fast
as the other older mutants. I think he has a little
mutant anti-aging going on, look at WOLVERINE, he
doesn't age much either. I know he has the X-HEALING
gene but that doesn't necessarily make him
anti-aging. I think MAGS & LOGAN don't age like
normal humans.

I'm not trying to be a hypocrite but look at the
comics illustrations, they prove my point. So I
am being realistic about MAGNETO according to the
comics.

I'm not extremely obsessed with an actor's height.
If I was I would not cast KANE as WOLVERINE because
KANE is not 5'3". But WOLVERINE needs to be quite
a bit shorter than the over 6' guys like CYCLOPS.
KANE is quite short. He lists himself at 5'9 but
I would say he's probably closer to 5'8".

Same way with HARDY. I think he's shorter than what
he lists himself as.

I would not be extremely disappointed if they cast
HARDY as LOGAN. His height fits and he can really
beef up so he looks like WOLVERINE in the body. And
he is an extremely excellent actor. I don't think
HARDY fits his looks in the face or his persona.

I think KANE fits the "RUNT" Canadian former
farm-boy now badass LOGAN better than HARDY.
He's basically doing WIOLVERINE but without the
claws on TNT'S LEVERAGE.

I gotta agree that many times accuracy in height makes for a better show, if you will. Acting, over all is what sells the movie, obviously. Liam is a great choice and now that he's a bit aged he can portray a great Magneto. It could easily be explained that a guy who controls the magnetic polar whatevers of the Earth can slow his aging OR he could de-age in a machine liek the cartoon. Liam has what Mags needs, a huge frame that promotes Magneto as being a badass even without the power. It'd be nice to see him as a bad guy too.

He could also change with the times a be a victim of any unfortunate number of genocides that have occurred in all parts of the world throughout the years

MAGNETO is not exactly a bad-guy!
That's what makes him so cool!
He is an extremely complicated guy,
which makes him extremely interesting!

He has been on the side of good too.
He's just more militant about MUTANT
rights.

He's not insane like APOCALYPSE, who
believes MUTANTS should be the only
dominant intelligent species on earth.
He wants to obliterate all normal
humans.

MAGNETO just wants MUTANT equality with
humans, he just doesn't care HOW he gets
it. He would rather beat the humans into
submission than find peace with them like
PROF X is always trying to do.

I find MAGNETO the most intriguing MUTANT
of them all!

love the cast, except I don't like either of your picks for Proffesor X. I like Pierce Brosnan.

Cyclops: Hartley is good. I agree he was the best part of Smallville besides Erica Durance.

Wolverine: Kane is perfect as Logan. The first time I saw him on leverage, I thought that guy would be a great Wolverine.

Nightcrawler: I still think Elijah Wood is the best choice for Kurt but your pick looks the part.

Gambit: Gambit is my second favortie X-men Character after Nightcrawler, so I want to see him done justice in a movie. Matt Bomer is an excellent actor and I think he would be great as Remy, and who cares if he is gay. Gay actors play straight Characters all the time.

Magneto: Liam Neeson is Awesome but I would like to see Thomas Kretschman as Magneto. He might be too short but I think he would be great.

Thanks LEWIS@!

PROFESSOR X is AMERICAN not British.
Pierce can do a perfect American accent.
But XAVIER should be AMERICAN.

I think MAGNETO needs to be tall, he is in the
comics, tall makes for a powerful presence.

Yep, KANE is very fitting.

Yeah, I like GAMBIT as a character too. So
far in the movies I don't think he's been
done justice. I want to see REMY & ROGUE
finally together onscreen.

RUPERT FRIEND being British, I think, would do
an excellent KURT with a German accent.

I know he is American but I just feel like Pierce Brosnan would be perfect for Professor X.
