This is my X-Men fancast....if it was a TV show in the 1970's. I am open to any suggestions because this is really hard. Everyone looks the same from this era, but I think I did a pretty good job. This cast is mostly visual. Enjoy and help me out!

no way man. i was trying this as well. i wanted teens as the original 5 with Yul as Prof X. it was hard. this, to me, is all wrong. sorry

It is hard because the hair styles and clothes are the same. I'm a little older than most so i made them older but teens for orginal make sense. YUL wasn't a TV star, He is a movie legend.

Uh, it's okay save for a few of you choices:
-Don Knotts as Toad? Really...
-Charo as Dazzler--NO
-Alan Alda as Sinister--Sinister never even appeared in the 70's comics.
Sabertooth is close, but he first appeared in a 1977 issue of Iron Fist. Mystique, Emma Frost, and Kitty Pryde are also close, as they first appeared in 1976 (Mystique in Ms. Marvel #16) and 1979 (Kitty and Emma).

I'm using 70's tv stars to cast any of the X-men. Charo as Dazzler was a good one, I thought. Who would you use?? I almost used Tim Conway as Toad but Knotts has a better visual expression.

Your toad fancast is odd, but the rest are quite good. I particularly like Buddy as Nick.

To answer your question, I would've gone with Cheryl Ladd (I hope I spelled it right), since she can sing AND act.

Also, who's the real Robert Conrad here? You've got two of them.

Why don't you do one set in the modern times with new actors? I suggest Chris Pine for Cyclops.

I actually think I would flip Buddy Ebsen and Dennis Weaver in thier roles. Weaver would make an excellent Nick Fury.
