Fantastic Four 2 director Tim Story killed long-lived Internet rumors that Vin Diesel would be cast as Silver Surfer in his sequel, according to Moviehole.
Instead, expect the Silver Surfer to be brought to the screen by newly developed CGI techniques, presumably with some relatively unknown actor beneath them (ala Lord of the Rings’ Gollum).
