Speaking to Deadline Hollywood, Marvel Studios producer and VP of Production & Development Nate Moore briefly touched on Marvel's Fantastic Four reboot and Captain America: New World Order- two, highly anticipated upcoming MCU films while walking the red carpet at this year's Producers Guid of America Awards.

First up, Moore was asked whether the Fantastic Four or X-Men would be debuting first. "Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four," said Moore. He added, "We have Matt Shakman directing, who’s so talented and who did WandaVision for us, and I think people are going to be pretty surprised by what we’re doing."

Next up, Moore touched on Captain America: New World Order. "Captain America: New World Order, we start shooting in 3 weeks." When asked about what he could tease, Moore responded, "Outside of the known quantities- obviously, Anthony Mackie taking on the role of Captain America [and] Harrison Ford as General Thunderbolt Ross, who is now the President of the United States, [there's] some other goodies in there."

What upcoming Phase 5 or Phase 5 feature film are you most anticipating? While Moore confirmed that the Fantastic Four will be debuting before the X-Men, it's widely assumed that Cyclops and co. will be making their MCU debut in Deadpool 3, which is rumored to heavily involve the multiverse.

Just wait until MCU re-works the old 20th Century Fox Script and does ‘X-Men vs. The Fantastic Four’.

It's weird to think that we are just 2 years away from what was Infinity War but for the Multiverse Saga

I’m putting money on Blade getting canned.

Too much time since initial announcement, no movement really outside of a new director, aging star, and more focus needed on characters that will move the story forward..

Ever since he made that statement about it being a “red flag” if the people they’re looking to hire are fans of the source material, I’ve found it hard to view him as anything other than a hack. Until Marvel gets rid of him and Victoria Alonzo the empire will continue to crumble.

It’s mind boggling that people say this about producers workers and directors not realizing that for 99% of them their entire resume is a mixed bag

Gotta say, New World Order is probably my most anticipated out of their 2024 movie slate and I'm pretty optimistic about all of them. Also, NWO and Thunderbolts (and to an extent, Deadpool 3) feel like more "traditional" MCU events, type of stuff we got back in Phase 3, compared to stuff like MoM and Quantumania, which didn't quite deliver on that promise. We'll see.

I also think The Marvels being a more self-contained "crossover" could work to its benefit.

"Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four," said Moore.

What poetry!

I think that untitled movie will be Spider-Man 4

But is Ross a Republican or a Democrat?
ProudPatriot76
ProudPatriot76 - 2/26/2023, 2:13 PM
@Ryguy88 - that’s a really good question. I think as a General he may have been more republican, but with the Sicovia Accords he’s definitely democratic. The abuse of power by forcing “superpowered” individuals to either work for the US government or be imprisoned is why I think that. It’s government overreach.

I’m sure others will disagree with me though
Ryguy88
Ryguy88 - 2/26/2023, 2:17 PM
@ProudPatriot76 - that makes sense to me, and it would make Iron Man a (D) and Captain America (R).

They will probably just leave it ambiguous though, cant imagine them indicating who each hero would vote for haha
ShimmyShimmyYA
ShimmyShimmyYA - 2/26/2023, 4:54 PM
@ProudPatriot76 - yeah because military overreach is a Democrat thing
