FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

Directed by Josh Trank, The Fantastic Four reboot stars Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Michael B. Jordan as the Human Torch, Kate Mara as Invisible Woman, and Jamie Bell as the Thing. The film is scheduled for release on August 7, 2015.

The fact that this film wasn't screened for critics is a HUGE RED FLAG.

@KurtWagner1225 That's what I'm saying though. The embargo lifts two days before it opens?! It's usually a week or two in advance for such a blockbuster. I'm trying to be optimistic but all the signs point to the contrary.

@KurtWagner1225 I hope I'm wrong. THR's Borys Kit said yesterday that 40 pages of the script was re-shot. That's a huge chunk.

I remember the days when we were all hoping CBMs would make big bucks so we could get even more characters in the big screen...

Now it's just a bunch of people hoping they fail.

Less than 4 days left. Can we give the "this movie blows" comments a break until release?

Yeah they hired Josh Trank one of the quickest rising directors to helm a movie they just wanted to plop out there for the rights.

They hired some of the best young actors in the industry today to play these big name characters just to keep the rights.

They have a plan to cross over with the X-Men franchise.

Obviously just to keep the rights.

The old Roger Corman F4 film was made to keep the rights and that's why it wasn't publicly released.

They would not spend a bigish budget on a film theywere just going to throw out there to save the F4 name.

@Jeight

If the movie turns out good, the trolls won't admit it. If the movie turns out shitty, the anti-marvelites won't admit it. Most of this site has made up their minds regardless of outcome.

Good old CBM.

@dethpillow

"i am going to see it no matter what. i still haven't seen Ant-Man so i'm gonna pull a double header, hopefully.
but wow...that's just really setting my expectations pretty low. maybe that's a good thing tho."

Hey mate! I just saw Ant-man yesterday. Before getting into the theater I had really low expectations after the Wright debacle and I was thinking, "this is not going to be as good as the great Phase 1 and Phase 2 movies" but WOW ant-man is amazing, it has comedy, well acted characters, smart script, amazing special effects, ties that feel natural to the MCU and the father-daughter relationships just made my eyes a little wet at some specific moment in the movies... snif snif

Overall it was great to me, go and see it hurry up! so you can tell me what you though of it
