VIDEO: Watch THE FANTASTIC FOUR Trailer Cut In The Style Of INTERSTELLAR

The Fantastic Four trailer dropped earlier today to a pretty mixed response. One thing most people agreed on, however, was the apparent similarity to Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. Now it seems one YouTuber has put the two together - with interesting results...

Regardless of what you may have thought of Josh Trank's Fantastic Four trailer, the movie appeared incredibly different to Tim Story's much-maligned 2005 adaptation. In fact, it shared more similarities with Christopher Nolan's sci-fi smash hit Interstellar - both visually and tonally. Given Marvel's first family's legacy as explorers as well as superheroes, this should have come as no surprise - but it was pretty exciting to see Trank take that route anyway.

On the back of the trailer's release, one particularly creative YouTuber named GunsAndJR has uploaded a parody, re-cutting the trailer in the style of Nolan's teasers - Matthew McConaughy voice-over included. He's dubbed it "Fantastic Stellar". Check it out below, it's pretty inspired...

So, what did you think? Hans Zimmer's Interstellar soundtrack seems to work very well with Trank's footage, once again highlighting the similarity between the two properties. Is this a good thing? Well only time will tell! In the meantime, did you think this was an improvement on the original trailer? Let us know with your thoughts below!

Yet another awesome find Minty!

Shame that the combination of Interstellar and Fantastic Four will likely lead to a pretty ugly thread coming up haha.

The ending got so much better with that "our destiny lies above us" line. So many feels. I remember saying this movie would suck so hard, but whatever, I even enjoy Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, so this will be a masterpiece.

It's crazy how well they fit together. I don't have a problem with this movie having an Interstellar vibe to it, especially since that movie was incredible

I have a feeling that the movie will have a very different vibe.
I think Fox decided that since DOFP's trailer put butts on seats, they should mimic it.

This isn't the tone for a movie about young people getting crazy-ass powers.

Looks like a lot of us weren't the only ones who thought it was emulating Interstellar Lol.

I thought that interstellar and fantastic four shared similar themes of dimension/Galaxy/space traveling. After reading numerous comments from multiple sites it appears that a majority of people want this to be fun? Would a joke or crack of smile honestly made things that much more different. This "dark" tone seems to be causing an uproar. But it works best for the world that they're building up to.

Some may say that they want them to be exclusive celebrities and etc but that's already been done. This is something different, especially if it defines what it truly means to evolve into something fantastical. That could just be the "light" people may end up missing in this dark film.

Thats why I really love this quote:

"You can’t have the word ‘fantasy’ or ‘fantastical’ without a contrast. It has to stem from a grounded experience. You can’t have bad without good, you can’t have right without wrong, you can’t have fantastic without mundane. You need to experience all that to really earn the title of the film, ‘Fantastic Four’.” - Josh Trank

It felt WAY too much like interstellar with the monologue and fields, and also TDK(rises) with the plane.

holy shit there's a plane in the lightning in that last shot

This shows me two things:

1) Interstellar was an AMAZING movie with a great score

and

2) This movie is going to be sick !!!!

and why are so many people complaining about naked Thing? That scene probably takes place after they obtain powers, so yeah, he won't have magical pants that fit unlike another ginormous monster in a team up movie...

You see, with Nolan's big twisty endings in movies...Interstellar is Fantastic Four. Mind Blown.
