Will The Real Josh Trank Please Stand Up?

Will The Real Josh Trank Please Stand Up?

While not the most earth shattering news, it would seem it's possible we finally have the real Josh Trank on Twitter. Why is this a big deal? Well, read on to find out!

With Fox's Fantastic Four creeping towards its August release date, many fans (including myself) have been noticing the lack of general marketing material. Aside from a few interviews with the cast; it's been people within the industry that have been trying to set the record straight regarding the upcoming adaption.

With many possible fake accounts, it would now seem as if Josh Trank is finally on Twitter. With rumors of the movie being a mess, that he's spiralled into possible drug addiction; there's been very little on Fox's front to even deny these claims. Now you may ask if they even should, and usually I'd say no. In most cases, these rumors stand as such: rumors! However, we have to look at the facts. This film comes out in seven months. Most films coming out in this time frame, including Star Wars Ep. VII, have already received a trailer and various other marketing materials.

If this account is truly the one of Josh Trank, he needs to start setting the record straight; because where many fans are right now, it's not impossible to believe some of these rumors. Ususally you let the work speak for itself, but with no work to show, you now have to ease concerns of many fans.

Whatever your views are on the upcoming film, hopefully we can begin to see what's going on with this movie! To keep up with Fantastic Four (when Fox will cut us some slack) keep eyes tuned on CBM!

I think the F4 will be awesome, he wouldn't be directing a star wars movie if he was not a good director.

Does anybody know the budget for Trank's FF4??

Maybe Fox is waiting to debut the trailer during the Super-Bowl, then they will get the marketing machine rolling....

Or, maybe the film didn't cost that much to make and it really is similar to Chronicle, and Fox isn't going to go crazy with the marketing

@TheLastSonOfEl

Huge difference between Ant-Man and the Fantastic 4 marketing. Plus they showed footage for Ant-Man at comic con along with AOU footage.

Also, we saw the Ant-Man suit before the trailer, and yellowjacket, and we saw some "Action Footage" at comic-con years before. Ant-Man has been in production way longer.

So.. If, by whatever god is real, anyone related to a CBM creates an account on a social network or posts a photo of a ice cream who happens to look like the Thing, that becomes newsworthy? Yeah, way to go, CBM.com

Haha, sadly, it's not just CBM.com, news has changed, everywhere.

It's how news works today.

@Verzwei when there's been no clear communication about this film and all we're hearing is negative rumors regarding production and staff, the studio and/or Trank should be putting their foot down.

Preciselly the reason I'm excited for this is that we didn't see no footage yet, with such a high caliber franchise I'm amazed at how they were able to keep it this secret

Hey doods...
member that time we was all tricked into thinking a new FF movie was gettin made?
where there was a director, actors "cast" in roles, and a couple "leaked" images to stir up believeies???
Then during the superbowl it was all revealed to be a giant ruse?
A huge elaborate prank on the fans??
Boy they really got us there!!
Haha...hahaha... heheheheh....

@dethpillow exactly. I mean this may be another fake account, or perhaps not. Still, I'm surprised at how ignorant or naive they all seem to be about it. As if social media isn't a problem for them.

Still need trailer..im a 'hater' because i have 30+ years of history with the characters..

With that said, there is no studio black out on social media. Look at how Singer handles Xmen..Teasing us all the time. With the udenied rumors of drug and set issues..he may simpley not be sober enough to bother with it. I suppose its possible because of the massive negative reaction to the whole project (lets be honest, most people hate it..say 4 out of 5) they may have clamped down. Remeber Teller doing interviews and fans going nuts because...well because he is a douchebag, but it was a net negative for the produciton.
