I don't care if you live in a low-to-moderate risk flood zone, if Russell Crowe comes knocking at your door and tells you that God is about to unleash a flood that is so powerful it will cover the Earth, you had better listen to the Cinderella Man. And that is why most homeowner's insurance does not cover flooding. They know one day Noah is gonna comeback and screw everyone that didn't pay extra for flood insurance.

NOAH is a close adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark. In a world ravaged by human sin, Noah is given a divine mission: to build an Ark to save creation from the coming flood. The screenplay was written by Darren Aronofsky and Ari Handel and revised by Academy Award®-nominated screenwriter John Logan (GLADIATOR, HUGO). Scott Franklin and Aronofsky of Protozoa Pictures, along with Mary Parent of Disruption Entertainment, will produce the film. The film will be executive produced by Ari Handel (BLACK SWAN), Arnon Milchan of New Regency and Chris Brigham (INCEPTION, ARGO).

Noah is directed by Darren Aronofsky ("The Wrestler"), and stars Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Ray Winstone, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth and Anthony Hopkins. It floods theaters March 28th, 2014.

Interesting that there's a black guy in the movie considering that black people came from Ham, one of Noah's sons. And yes, Noah wasn't a white person in real life.

Actually, their was never a Noah or Ham...there was different flood stories before and after this story, but they all was based off an Egyptian King who had a big boat that he used when the Nile river was flooded and he had some goats on it...so throughout time it was changed and added to what we have known!

This could be good. Maybe it will open to more Biblical movies. I don't know why they don't make more Biblical movies they do very well. The Ten Commandments is considered a movie masterpiece and Passion of the Christ did really well. The Bible miniseries on the History channel broke records. The Bible is a gold mine for money and Hollywood hasn't taken much advantage over it.

This movie also has an amazing cast.

They are, their doing another Ten Commandments...but the problem is, even though there's a lot of Christians, the bible is pretty racist and plus a lot of evidence has come out to show that those stories weren't true at all!

I still find it funny that an Atheist is making this movie. Just is weird to me for whatever reason.

@hope420 - You mean Paradise Lost? I agree that would have been awesome. A movie about angels vs Demons would be amazing. Too bad Legion sucked but I did like the design for the angels.

Actually looks pretty cool, the fact that Aronofsky is an atheist helps I think - because I know it won't start with "Based on True Events" otherwise, I think I might never watch any film by anyone ever again.

@RioforDio - Your comment is full of win sir.

Sooooo...everyone is White save a handful of peripheral Black and non-White characters? Yeeaaaaah... My non-Whiteness will not allow me to watch this film. You mean to tell me that Noah, his wife and children were White? This some ol'bullshit.

Why do people feel it is necessary to make comments about whether the Bible is for real or not? Looking for a debate?
