Are We Going To See A HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS Sequel?
Despite a lukewarm reception from critics, it appears as if Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters has performed well enough to warrant a sequel. Hit the jump for details on how the R-Rated fantasy/horror movie is performing at the worldwide box office.
With an opening weekend of just under $20 million in North America and a current total of $54 million domestically, it appears as if Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters' performance overseas have hugely increased the chances of a sequel. With a budget of only $50 million, the R-Rated movie certainly seems to have performed well enough to warrant a follow-up of some sort and the ending of the movie certainly left the door wide open for a sequel. The actors involved all seemed fairly open to the idea when asked during the rather extensive press tour for the movie.
