"Oz The Great and Powerful" imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved character, the Wizard of Oz. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

Nothing about this movie looks at all good! It looks like the horrible attempt at Alice in Wonderland from Burton and company. The effects look cartoony, and well...it just looks plain awful. Am I gonna see it? You bet your ass I am, because I'm a big Oz lover, but I'm not expecting to love it, or hold it in high esteem as Oz cinema cannon when all is said and done. Here's hoping that with such low expectations, I will be surprised. However, I went into TDKR with low expectations, and was STILL disappointed so...we'll see I guess.

I have a feeling both Rachel and Mila will be turning green. I also think both will look very sexy in green. I am really looking forward to this movie.

@Thewonderer And how is this even comparable to TASM? This will be a fantasy adventure movie, TASM is a superhero origin movie, 2 very different things. Just because Sam raimi directed spider-man doesn't mean that every movie he now directs and his spider-man series is a competition with the TASM series you idiot. You think you're all smart and intellectual because you like nolan's batman, but I highly doubt you can see below the surface what makes nolan's batman great.
