Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was one of 2017's most surprising and most welcome blockbusters and by the end of its record-breaking run, it had grossed well over $941.69 million worldwide ($400.3M domestic, $541.3M foreign). The film ultimately finished 2017 as the fourth-highest grossing film of the year domestically and the fifth-highest grossing film of the year worldwide, which, considering it's modest $90 million production budget, is pretty damn phenomenal.

Sony was quick to move ahead with a sequel, enlisting original screenwriters Scott Rosenberg & Jeff Pinkner to pen a script for the third film just last month. Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan are all expected to reprise their roles as the video game avatars of the next batch of kids to find themselves trapped in the mystical world of Jumanji.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment officially released the film on 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray today and we have a ton of amazing details and content for you to check out before you head out to your closest retail store (and/or Amazon) to add this blockbuster movie to your home video collection.

The Blu-ray special features include a gag reel, five behind-the-scenes featurettes, and a hilarious "Jumanji, Jumanji" music video from stars Jack Black and Nick Jonas. There are curiously no deleted scenes included, but with Karen Gillan recently revealing that an alternate ending for the film would've set up a sequel, it's probably not a stretch to assume that some of the other deleted content may have also played a part in laying down the groundwork for a potential sequel - something the studio may want to keep under wraps for the time being as they develop the third chapter.

With a cast like this, hysterical laughter on set is a given. Laugh along with these hilarious outtakes.

The Blu-ray set contains a pretty hysterical gag reel with stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, and more cutting up on set. The entire gag reel runs approximately 2 minutes and 25 seconds.

Another Exclusive Gag Reel Clip

Sony has also provided a second funny gag reel clip, featuring more Kevin Hart as he pokes fun at his co-stars, specifically Nick Jonas, and brings plenty of laughs. The entire gag reel will run just around 2 minutes and 25 seconds.

Behind the Scenes Clip - Bazaar

Here's a neat behind-the-scenes look at the bazaar sequence where Kevin Hart's character makes a very funny mistake that results in his untimely demise. The BTS clip also provides an interview snippet with Karen Gillan (Avengers: Infinity War) as she describes bringing the badass Ruby Roundhouse to life.

Behind the Scenes Clip - Snake

This behind-the-scenes clip takes a look at the end of the bazaar sequence when the four characters are forced to confront a deadly snake in order to obtain a clue. We see how the visual effects artists were able to bring the scary snake to life using a combination of digital and practical effects.

Behind the Scenes Clip - Giant Hippo

This behind-the-scenes clip features Jack Black, who hilariously plays a 16-year-old girl in the movie, detailing his experience getting eaten by a giant hippopotamus. There's also an extended sneak peek at how the standout sequence ultimately came together.

Behind the Scenes Clip - VFX: Then & Now

This is one of the neater featurettes as director Jake Kasdan and producer Matt Tolmach explain how much the visual effects industry has evolved over the past two decades. They also reveal how the animals were modeled after the original designs used in the Robin Williams-led classic.

Behind the Scenes Clip - Director, Jake Kasdan

This behind-the-clip features interviews with the cast as they detail their experience working with director Jake Kasdan. The Blu-ray will feature five exclusive featurettes, including a fifteen-minute The Making of Jumanji documentary.

Behind the Scenes - The Jaguar Statue

The final behind-the-scenes featurette takes a look at the finale as we see exactly how Dwayne Johnson scaled that massive jaguar statue, on a motorcycle, to put the gem back in its rightful place and send everyone back home.

What they discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji--you must survive it. great that means i'll finally get to watch it then jaja. I've been told Jack Black's hilarious on this one, which's great, and that it's basically him and Hart that make the movie, oh and of course Karen's beauty.
