Zoe Saldana Reveals Avatar 2 Filming Dates!

Zoe Saldana Reveals Avatar 2 Filming Dates!

News of the sequel to the highest grossing movie of all time has been relatively quiet for a while now, until today. MTV interviewed Saldana at the Teen Choice Awards the other day and she said something that might be of interest to you lot...

When asked about Avatar 2/3, she said this:

"No. I heard that we might go next year so I'm really psyched," Saldana revealed about a potential 2012 start. "I'm keeping my bags packed," she admitted. "I would do anything for that man and for that project, so I'm waiting."

Well that's certainly interesting isn't it? We don't know much about the sequels, except that director James Cameron intends to shoot them back-to-back, a large portion of the second film will be set underwater and his team of nerds (not the CBM community) have to figure out how to do motion-capture underwater.

Anyway, Avatar 2 is planned to be released in December 2014 and Avatar 3 in December 2015!

snooze. "Avatar" was the most overrated movie of the 21st century. nothing special about it. Worthington can't act, and Saldana is not much better. Lang, Weaver, and Ribisi were alright. weak story. pretty much "Dances with Wolves" in space.

does anyone really care? the 1st one was a piece of shit. granted the effects were cool, but the story was a rehash of Dances with wolves and the acting was nothing special

I don't think the sequels will top Avatar financially or critically. Curious as to where they'll bring the story.
