This weekend on PowerBlock, we go behind the scenes of G.I. Joe: Retaliation slated to hit movie theaters in Spring 2013. Our sponsor Royal Purple has a role in this sequel to “G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra,” and Courtney gives you an advanced look at some of the vehicles including a 17’ combat dune buggy armed with a 50 caliber machine gun and a radically transformed 796 Ducati attack bike. The buggy weighs nearly 6000 pounds and has 450 horsepower. You’ll meet the builder and Picture Car Coordinator, Bill Barillaro, responsible for the buggy and 22-ton, 16′ tall Hiss Tank. Bill started his career in the movie “Speed” as a bus mechanic. Courtney also welcomes the man who arms all the vehicles and the actors, Kevin McCullough. Check it out on PowerBlock June 23 & 24. Paramount might lose A LOT of money if this movie gets leaked to the public and turns out to be disappointing. Like that Wolverine movie.

I wouldn't doubt it if they cancel the theatrical release next year and put it out direct to video. Either that or have it on Syfy(lys) Channel's Saturday night crapfest.

It's the fact that they blatantly come out and say they're delaying it for cheap 3D cash grab that pisses me off. For [frick]s same, LIE TO US! This movie won't get a penny from me.

@yossarian True but if you don't give a movie a chance because of the film before that is also hating

Why so much hate? Not that I care. I'm def gonna support it. It'll just be one less of you people I'll have to sit by in the theatre:) some of you are so dramatic when it comes to this stuff.

Yeah this delay is innexecusable, if it was pushed to maybe the fall that I wouldn't mind but almost an entire year!? For a movie that more than likely wont do very well!? Seriously I ink releasing it in theatres next summer will be a huge loss for paramount and at this point I say if they wanna make any sort of money back on this either release it this year or release it straight to blu ray

There is irony in your comment. Please, allow ME. You say you don't care about the hate, yet CARED enough to not only elaborate on it, but present a DRAMATIC scenario about it. Less of "you people" you'll have to sit by? lol How bout this; you look forward to the movie, understand that some people are not as interested or excited about as you, and just enjoy itt like we know you will. That's a positive thing, right?

@neo, I was looking for a real reason not a smartass answer. If you take notice of the smiley face after the you people meaning u haters, means its all in good fun. The irony is that u go out of your way to hate and bitch about it. Some of you get a little touchy. No reason to b a ahole about it.

NeoBaggins - 6/27/2012, 8:23 AM
Nah, jess. I wouldn't say I go out of my way. I walk right by most GI JOE threads without a second thought. And "bitching" is a form of complaining and complaining implies you care about something. No bitching here. I just like to give things like this a little kick every now and then. Feels like my intelligence is being insulted when film makers put together low grade shit for a quick buck- or at least my interpretation of that scenario.

Nice talking to you. Peace.
