We got our first look at some footage from Paramount's Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins movie last month via a brief teaser trailer, and IGN has now debuted a series of eight character motion posters spotlighting Henry Golding's enigmatic ninja and several of his closest allies and most lethal adversaries.
Along with classic Joe and Cobra heroes and villains fans are sure to recognize such as Storm Shadow, Baroness, Hard Master and Scarlett, we have characters that have seemingly been created for this movie like Akiko and Kenta.
You can check out the Scarlett (Samara Weaving) poster below, but since IGN doesn't allow their videos to be embedded, you'll have to click here to see the rest of them out. A gallery of still posters is also available here.
"A tenacious loner is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him."
Golding will be joined by Andrew Koji (Fast & Furious 6) as Storm Shadow, Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) as Scarlett, Úrsula Corberó (The Secret Life of Pets) as Baroness, and Iko Uwais (The Raid) as Hard Master. The movie is directed by Robert Schwentke.
We recently found out that the G.I. Joe Origins movie has been pushed up from its original October release, and will now hit theaters on July 23.
