Arrow season 2

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."

@ Ezio

Am I suppose to include Spidey and Wolverine in the list of Marvel movies? I know some Marvelites refuse to accept anything but Marvel Studio movies.

If so I also enjoyed Wolverine and Spidey had some good moments.

@ ezio

Stephen Amell is acting like Oliver Queen, I am very satisfied with casting choice. I would not be shocked if he becomes a movie star.

That being said the same people who casted Amell also casted the Flash so I have some faith they did good.

I love Batz we give crap to each other all the time. Batz is more a marvel fan and I am more a DC fan, but we both appreciate both companies. I just tend to be more vocal on the negative comments!

He definitely is settling down into the role. I can remember the first few episodes of season 1 were just brutal to see him act. He's by no means amazing now but he has gotten much better.

ezio619 - 11/18/2013, 12:47 PM

I like the Count Vertigo but I am not happy that he does not have any powers, that is my only gripe with Arrow. They kinda screwed themselves going the Nolan route!
ezio619
ezio619 - 11/18/2013, 12:52 PM
Charlie-drew goddard is on it ,he wrote episodes of buffy and angel and angel is has a bit of feeling of daredevil and they have said that it is a gritty look
JoeMomma29
JoeMomma29 - 11/18/2013, 12:53 PM
Oh wait we have Arrow and Flash TV shows for 2014, oh wait I am still sad!
ezio619
ezio619 - 11/18/2013, 12:54 PM
Joe-yeah me too,i hoped when Ollie gave him the vertigo overdose,it might have given him powers somehow but i like the vertigo drug and i like the vertigo effect it gives when we see it in first person
JoeMomma29
JoeMomma29 - 11/18/2013, 12:55 PM
Well we will find out this Wednesday
JoeMomma29
JoeMomma29 - 11/18/2013, 12:56 PM
@ Charlie

DD is one my favorite Marvel Characters and to me I am happy and yet pissed. I wished they would have put him on the big screen again.
ezio619
ezio619 - 11/18/2013, 12:58 PM
Batz- i thought all the movies this year were solid imo, flawed? yes ,but still solid
1.The Wolverine
2.Man of Steel
3.Iron Man 3( intrguing plot, great arc for tony, some forced humor,i thought the mandarin twist was very interesting and harkened back to the original concept behind him etc)
4.Thor The Dark World(loved the acting for the most part, thor and loki are great,i liked thor very subtle arc and lokis arc, should have taken out the earth scenes after jane left and given the time to other characters on asgard or malekith)
ezio619
ezio619 - 11/18/2013, 1:00 PM
charlie- i like their light tone right now, they do have drama in their films but dramatic and gritty is the way to go with the man without fear and it helps that goddard himself is a HUGE DD fan, he had a red door that had the quote" i have now shown them that a man without hope is aman without fear"
ezio619
ezio619 - 11/18/2013, 1:01 PM
Charlie-yeah ,well they did say if the shows are succesful, they will get their own films!!
ezio619
ezio619 - 11/18/2013, 1:05 PM
CHarlie- i find it interesting but what i find interesting is that guardians seems to have abit of grit to it,if you saw the leaked footage,it had grit too yetstill had alight tone
ezio619
ezio619 - 11/18/2013, 1:11 PM
batz-i think alot of peoples problems with man of steel have to do with perception of who superman is to them and concept vs execution, the concepts are great in that film but the exectution for alot of people culd have been done better, plus the huge amount of destruction etc.
