In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

Yeah, this has been my most anticipated film of 2011. Looks like it's going to be the best out of them all. :)

It's amazing what a comeback this movie has made. It's almost like the recent previews are advertising a film that's completely different to whatever the first trailer was advertising. So far it's done such a good job at hooking people in. I even went to the store and read Secret Origin for the first time today.

1. Odd look on reynolds face when he's putting the ring on *funny IMO*

GL is the comeback movie of all time. Told everyone who was dissing the movie cause of the CG which was in 2 MONTHS INTO POST PRODUCTION that it will be looking awesome by the time the movie will be released. It looked good then for the time it was release and it is looking awesome now. Almost all of them are eating their words and the rest are too stubborn to admit that it is looking awesome.

Very excited, glad Blake Lively got to play Carol Ferris. Anybody who has seen the 3D trailer with Pirates, is the effect any good? I saw Thor in 3D, and it was really disappointing even though I liked the movie.

and yeah the look when Hal puts on the ring and transforms is like he's saying "OK Hammond let's you wanna play,let's play" :) kinda of cool facial impression

and man that music is awesome :)

All of a sudden, people are CGI experts lol. The FX and CGI appear to be the standard, expensive, high grade stuff. I guess some people preferred they actually cast aliens for the movie.

and this movie is not the greatest comeback movie for comic books the main grips where about cgi and RR

The greatest comeback of all time is First class. Everyone was dissing that movie from the beginning. It was 95% people hate it 5% like it now its almost the other way around.

@ intruder - because it's his oath and like "CeramycTyle" pointed out maybe an intense scene,the oath is a prominent aspect of GL and they are highlighting it in the trailer,I don't think he will always say the oath during the movie.

@ NeoBaggins - well said,CGI how well it is done will look CGI,(eg - transformers,avatar,i am legend etc)

Even Blake Lively is looking/sounding better. This movie is getting me close to dangerously hyped levels.

You never want to get there cause no movie will ever match dangerously hyped.

this looks better and better. this and X-men.

in the first few months of production on this and X-men i thought these 2 movies surely would be the death of CBM's, now i can't wait to see them!!

and next year we get Christopher Nolans batman AND Superman, as well as a kick ass looking Spider-Man!?! I'm a Happy camper :)

Things I Dont Understand
1. Blake Lively Hate.( I dont understand why people bitch about her. I mean I loved her acting in The Town and dont see anything wrong shes done in the footage seen thus far. Some of you sound like highschool girls bitchin just jealous of her or something)
2. The Mask Bitchin. (At this point if your still bitching over a small piece of garment over his eyes then you should seriously go outside and talk to some girls. Thats just straight shallow)
3. The Marvel/DC comparison ( So just because you like one company more than the other company dont mean they cant have a better film than that or on par. Thats just straight fanboyism.
4. The CGI ( The cgi was improved I can see it. I took a couple of animation classes and I can tell you that Hal's suit was improved. And besides in "Thor", when Thor was flying it looked a little awkward but did not take from the experience that it was a great movie.)

If you notice the posters that have been complaining, it's the ones that have been since the beginning. Nothing is going to change their minds. Unless they actually filmed on OA with the real guardians and GL corp. ;) They're not worth your time, and they won't effect the outcome of the movie in the slightest, although I'm sure they'd like to think their little opinion means anything.
