Three Green Lantern TV Spots Feature Brief Snippets Of New Footage And Improved CGI!

Only containing a few very brief new snippets of footage, the following three Green Lantern TV Spots also highlight the huge improvement that many of the scenes have undergone since the first trailer was released...

Hal Jordan is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax...he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

Many thanks to Shockya for the following TV Spots.

With an all star cast which includes Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris and Mark Strong as Sinestro, director Martin Campbell's Green Lantern is set to be released in 3D on June 17, later this year!

The first two I’d seen, that third one is new though - With the rhyming Oath and that beat as it picked up almost sounded like they were going to break into rap, someone needs crank it up and remix it with autotune.

The GLs look good but because the scenes are very dark.
Hal Jordan's costume is very blurred.

If this movie is really on the same level than Star Wars, why they always show the same scenes everytime?

they will release no more new footage. they dont want to basically release the entire movie unlike some others (THOR)

Seeing new footage isnt really a concern for me. i dont want the whole movie to be shown before i see it. all they need to do is make these trailers look as awesome as possible!

did anyone see the new Gl trailer that was supposed to be attached to Thor??? cuz all i got was the crappy original trailer from last nov. Very bad marketing move by WB cuz that new trailer really would of got more people excited for the film not just comic book lovers.

@lester you keep saying that same thing about it being unfinished, but that doesn't actually mean anything. how do YOU know what "finished" looks like? clearly this is the look they wanted. it's ok if you don't approve or LIKE it, but that doesn't mean it's "unfinished."

@aztlan i don't remember anyone saying it's on the level of star wars... they've been calling it the star wars of cbms because it's an interplanetary, multi-species movie about officers of the law. nobody ever said it was AS GOOD AS star wars. if i'm wrong show me the link.

The CGI still looks excellent. I don't get why people are hating on the CGI (unless it's the feet and mask), it looks awesome the way it is.

@Aztlan - "If this movie is really on the same level than Star Wars ...blah, blah, blah..."
@TheIntruder - "This movie is not on Star Wars level.. I'm really sick... Blah, blah, blah..."

--------------------------------------------

Nobody said its going to do like $tar War$ or be on that level$ you idiots!

It’s been compared THEMATICLLY to Star Wars – A young, adventure craving, reckless pilot Luke/Hal, who lost his father, is given a weapon of light by a mysterious stranger, who recruits him into a bigger world and purpose he never imagined - An order of ancient space knights from all races across the cosmos.

There’s even their greatest champion Vader/Sinestro who falls to the evil side, who the hero once trusted and must face. And the diminutive, recluse, ancient and wise mentors who judge the young pilot worthy or not.

Also Hal’s character has been compared to Han the cocky, self involved space pilot who falls in love with the bossy rich bitch girl.

All of this predates Star Wars by decades, and people have drawn comparison in THEMES!
Get it? T H E M E S! Like between The Corps and the Jedi.
Not that it’s going to do as well $$$ as freakin $tar War$, can you tell the difference?

The mask is the only thing that stills weird in some spots. Although I wonder if its because Ryan needs a haircut. Weird, i know. But in some shots, his hair makes his head look big, which affects his mask.

Is there a .gif of the scene in the trailer where Hal is flying up into the sky with his arms out at his sides?

AGREE! But I would add that both the Jedi and the Corps are based on the earlier Lensmen series of books by E.E.'Doc'Smith :)

the scene where Hal and Carol are hiding behind the Yellow boxes, anyone think he may be fighting a Green ring wearer in that scene?

Yeah, no more new footage please. When I saw Thor I did feel like I already saw the best moments, which is always disappointing. Still loved the movie.

CGI does look a little better. When I saw the new trailer on the big screen, it looked pretty awesome.

People are going to complain about this movie no matter what. Mainly the people who have been complaining since the beginning.

@Froggy, that looks like it's going to be an epic moment. RR does that little grin so Hal-like. :D

Still my most anticipated CBM this year. I think this one will be the big hit.
