First Official GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Still Debuts
For New Year's, get an “early” look at Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista's Drax, with Bradley Cooper's Rocket Raccoon and Vin Diesel's Groot, in Guardians of the Galaxy
According to Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, who had no idea Disney was releasing it, the image above is from a very early stage and the visual effects have since been improved. “Okay, so I suppose Disney released this still from Guardians of the Galaxy,” he commented. “It was featured in the San Diego Comicon trailer, and is an early (truthfully, quite unfinished - we've come a long way from here) look at Rocket and Groot, Star-Lord, Gamora, and Drax.” Bold move, Disney. An official Guardians of the Galaxy synopsis was also released. What do you think?
From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team–the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe.
