So regarding trilogies. I think we need to be a bit more critical of which films worked and didn't work because some films were affected by an Avengers movie. Spider-Man Far From Home was a sequel to Avengers Endgame more than a sequel to Homecoming as an example. Captain America Civil War was able to successfully be a sequel to both The Winter Soldier and Avengers Age of Ultron. So as it stands, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1. 2. 3 and Black Panther + Wakanda Forever felt more like true sequels in their continuity while also successfully continuing the narrative put in place by an Avengers movie.

@SonOfAGif - The GOTG trilogy has been the most self-contained of any MCU series. Even when Thanos was in part 1, it served the story of that movie.

Black Panther is another series that has largely been able to stand on its own. Ironheart did feel forced into WF just to set up her D+ show, but really other than that it’s been able to stand on its own.

@SonOfAGif - you make a great point. I guess with the interconnectivity of a shared universe, it's hard to judge what truly is a stand-alone trilogy and what isn't.

I would say Iron Man might be the most consistent trilogy, even though Iron Man 3 had a different director and dealt with Avengers fallout

@bkmeijer1 - Iron Man 3 is an interesting one because it didn't feel like a continuous narrative like all other sequels. Same goes with Thor The Dark World. They were a sequel but almost had nothing to do with the prior entries. They had one or two lines mentioned The Avengers but other than that they were super standalone and didn't feel like your typical movie sequel.

@SonOfAGif - agreed. IM3 did feel a lot in line with the other two though imo, as it keot exploring what it meant to be Iron Man

@bkmeijer1 - I feel like the Guardians of the Galaxy has been the most cohesive trilogy so far. Each film feels like a continuous narrative of the last while picking up story bits from previous films.

@SonOfAGif - I'll probably watch Volume 3 somewhere in the next few weeks, and it being consistent with the other two is actually really good to know. Got me looking forward to it

GOTG3 could have scored higher had it featured everyone’s favorite very good dog Cosmo even more.

Here's Josh with the same old cut and paste list with ONE movie added to it again.
See you all in a few months when he edits The Marvels into it.

I wonder if we'll get this exact same list when the next marvel movie comes out?

"The black sheep of the MCU family in some respects, it seems the events of The Incredible Hulk are never really referenced, and the hope now is that it will change in the She-Hulk TV series coming to Disney+. "

"coming to Disney+" - posted May 9 2023

She Hulk premiered August 18 2022

Oh COME ON JOSH!? I pointed out this outdated shit the last time you copy/pasted this article!

This list makes no sense. You have movies higher in rotten tomatoes percentage, but lower in ranks. Some movies with the same percentages and not ties while others are. Also, shouldn't the tie breaker be their audience scores? Lastly, Rotten tomatoes already has this list on their site, so why post it here?
