To show their support for James Gunn, a group of fans have spent over $4,000 to run a digital billboard just four miles out from Disneyland in Anaheim which reads, "Save the Galaxy: James Gunn for Vol. 3."

This comes in the wake of Gunn's well publicized firing as director on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 after some controversial Tweets of his resurfaced.

One of the men behind the billboard, Giuseppe Cincinnato, explains his reasons for getting the billboard erected.

"We really love Gunn as both a creator and the man we've seen him mature into," Cincinnato told THR. "Even if this wasn't going to cause Disney to see their mistake, we could at least show James Gunn how much support he has in his corner of the galaxy."

Since there's no way this will have any impact of Disney/Marvel's decision, perhaps sending Gunn a letter or a Tweet may have been the way to go? It'd certainly be a lot cheaper.

At any rate, if you're interested in supporting this noble cause you can find out more over at RehireJamesGunn.com.
