The social media embargo for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 recently lifted, and early word on the threequel is overwhelmingly positive. We know better than to put too much stock in those, of course, but all signs point to James Gunn's send-off for this team of A-Holes being something special.
Surprisingly (and much to the relief of many fans), no spoilers for the threequel have started doing the rounds online, though we anticipate that changing once U.S. screenings begin later this week.
In the meantime, Gunn has taken to Instagram to confirm that we can expect two post-credits scenes when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ends. Now, you might think this was to be expected, but don't forget that 2017's Vol. 2 actually had five of them!
With Gunn now in charge of DC Studios and planning to take the helm of DCU reboot Superman: Legacy, his time working in the MCU is over. With that in mind, there's a good chance these stingers won't be used to set the stage for any future stories! We're sure they'll be must-see, though.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.
Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.
