GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Deleted Scenes Feature Drax's Metaphors And A Gory Moment With War Pig

We recently learned that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will arrive at Digital retailers on July 7 and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on August 1.

The movie is going to come bundled with eight deleted scenes, and two of those have now found their way online (officially). The first sees Drax give Star-Lord some interesting life analogies and metaphors, while the second shows Behemoth bringing some not-so-good news to The High Evolutionary.

War Pig is dead...and he has her head to prove it!

The deleted scene fans are most excited to see from the threequel will also feature The High Evolutionary, with it revealing what became of the villain after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's final battle. We'd all suspected he'd been left to die until an eagle-eyed fan spotted Drax carrying him off the ship and filmmaker James Gunn would later confirm he's imprisoned on Knowhere, a moment this scrapped sequence will show.

Check out these newly released deleted scenes below.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.

Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently playing in theaters.

@GunnISaClunge - you are really bad at the trolling game. Now wait for your mom to come to the basement with your snacks then come back with something better ok?

@GunnISaClunge - I have mixed feelings regarding Superman Legacy, but I'm pretty sure Gunn has said he'll be handling it a lot different to other films he's directed including toning down the humour and the edginess from his other movies

@AC1 - At this point I do what I do with every other movie I take a wait a see approach.I did the same with Zack.

@pitbull76 - exactly, I'm kinda nervous about it but Gunn has a great track record imo so he's totally earned the benefit of the doubt and I'll reserve judgement until I actually watch it for myself

@AC1 - Yes my friend respect not following the other sheep.A couple of things though I wish he would start totally from scratch including ditching his SS and peace maker. The other thing is it's pretty ballsy to start out the gate of the new DCU with Superman never mind a home run he needs to hit a grandslam to get the interest back from people.

@pitbull76 - yeah I felt the same when he announced what he was doing, I've never been a fan of soft reboots because they always feel a bit messy and I think a clean slate would probably have been the better option, but he's only revealed a small part of what he's planning to do anyway so we'll see what happens I guess

@AC1 - I like Superman but my favorite comic character is Batman I'm really interested and invested in how the handle him in the new DCU.Not everyone agrees but I like that are introducing Damien right off the bat it's something we have not seen in live action yet,We also need to get Night wing and Red Hood on screen.

@pitbull76 - If I'm honest I'm a lot more concerned about Batman under Gunn's DCU than Superman.

They're in a position where they'll have the already established Reeves/Pattinson version running concurrently with their own, and naturally they'll want to set their version apart so the audience can clearly see the distinction. By skipping straight to Damien being Robin it means they're either ignoring all the other Robins and streamlining Batman's history in the DCU, or they're skipping forward (kinda like Batfleck in the DCEU) and we're potentially missing out on important bits of backstory that could help set this version of Batman apart from others.

There's also the fact they'll probably want to set the two versions apart tonally so the DCU version will probably be noticeably "lighter" than gritty darkness of The Batman, but then that runs the risk of the DCU itself feeling a bit samey if their Batman isn't tonally different enough from other characters like Superman.

Again, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and I hope it works out, but I'm definitely more worried about DCU Batman than DCU Superman.

@pitbull76 - ha ha ha I'm just playing, but yeah I'm not too excited for Gunn's take based on his previous work and his ego driven actions so far as the head of the DCU.

@AC1 - we shall see! Right now, I dont trust him at all 😅

@pitbull76 - wait I got a question? 🤔

Why do you consider the people who are not excited for Gunn's take sheep when Gunn & hid movies are liked by the masses?

Surley a sheep would follow the overwhelming majority? 😉👀

@AC1 - To be honest both concerns me so much rides on both those movies just take the time and do it right they can not afford to screw up ether of them.

@GunnISaClunge - Hey man I can appreciate a little trolling I also can respect you're option on Gunn's being head of DCU.At the end of the day it's a wait and see situation only time will tell.

@GunnISaClunge - No by sheep it just seems everyone has prejudgment on Gunn before he has done anything. Then Isee other directors getting a pass and wait to see appporch.I think Gunn atleast has earned that I'm not saying what he has planned is going to work but I will save my judgement until I see projects under the new DCU my friend.

@AC1 - He did say it was something unlike anything else he has done.I have to take that with a grain of salt tho cuz he also said The Flash was the best comic book movie ever.

BraveNewClunge - 7/1/2023, 2:42 PM
@pitbull76 - fair enough, there's always a possibility the film itself may impress me but I still ain't happy with the decisions he's made so far 🤬😠

Been a few of years since I've went to see a movie twice in theatres. Don't see how you f*ckers go 4-5 times. I question how much adulting you have to do. Anyway, definitely buying this one. Damn good flick.

@UrbanTheEmcee - yea I mean I think the last movie I seen in the theater was Logan lol.Times have really changed more so since the pandemic you don't have to wait 3 month for a movie to hit BluRay or streaming services.
