A new trailer for Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 should be with us fairly soon, but for now, we have a batch of character posters and a banner spotlighting everyone's favourite band of intergalactic A-holes.

The posters - which don't seem to have been officially released just yet - feature Star-Lord, Drax, Gamora, Nebula, Rocket, Mantis, Cosmo and Groot.

We're sure Kraglin has one knocking around somewhere, but it doesn't look like villains The High Evolutionary and Adam Warlock have been invited to this party.

"In Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past." "Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them."

Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova. Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.

@RegularPoochie - I feel like Rocket dying is too obvious. Like it’s a macguffin? Is that a thing? Maybe red herring? Anyway. It’s so heavily implied in the trailers that he’s gonna be upright when the credits roll

@ProudPatriot76 -
Drax is definitely dead, pretty sure we see him dead in the trailer.
Rocket is definitely dead, he is almost certainly the one Peter is screaming over in the trailer

I think the rest will live though.

@MUTO123 - this will be like Logan for the MCU. Other Fox X Men movies came out after Logan, but for most audiences Logan was the ending of their interest in the series.

(Yes I am aware dweadpwool 2 happend 🤓)

@MUTO123 - Cool so you'll delete your account and avoid all future MCU news and not complain anymore, right? I hope y'all move on to something else so I don't have to see attention seeking negging in every MCU article. If y'all are over it all then please move on. That, or stfu

@tylerzero - Replying to attention-starved folks like Caillou here is the same as petting a dog after it rolls in feces. You'll only encourage them, and feel dirty after.

Looking forward to at least base line enjoying this. The first is entertaining, the second felt like it was more confident, but I don't love these films. I did love the Christmas Special for Mantis💚

It will be nice to not loath an MCU outing for a change... been a while.
