GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Posters Follow Rocket Raccoon's Evolution From Baby To Superhero

Tickets for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are now on sale and, while we'd been hoping to see the new trailer that's supposedly playing in theaters before Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, some posters have instead been released.

While a couple of them make use of that familiar colourful imagery which is reminiscent of 90s album covers, the rest put the spotlight on Rocket's evolution from simple raccoon to superhero.

The High Evolutionary transformed poor Rocket against his will, and the threequel is expected to fully explore the horrors he went through. These posters do a pretty good job of shedding light on it too, offering a glimpse at what the Guardian and Avenger went through before eventually escaping and crossing paths with Groot.

Check out these new posters for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 below.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.

Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.

Hey @JoshWilding What did you think about WM39? Thought it was great! Bummer ending tho.

I really want to like Cosmo because I am in love with Golden Retrievers, but I hope the character gets more development here than in the Christmas special. Russian Golden Retriever in space suit was all we got there. Cosmo was so cool in the Abnett and Lanning run.

@mountainman - I have 2 golden retrievers now (both english cream) and have lost 3 due to age and cancer. They give you the best years of your life and the worst day of your life.

@Reginator - I have a field golden now, she’s 3 and I love her so much. I know about that loss, have had to put to rest 2 dogs over the years. It’s never easy. I just always have to tell myself that we are there for the dog’s entire life. It’s only a fraction of ours, and it’s tough to lose them, but we get to see them from little pups to old age. From their perspective, we are their lifetime guardians, their pack leaders, their best friends. I Miss the dogs I lost and think of them often, but I have to be comfortable knowing that they lived full and happy lives.

@mountainman - We are the Oak trees that bear fruit and warmth, that never seem to move and probably don't have minds or souls.

Actually, Oak trees don't bear fruit do they? Never mind.

Golden Retrievers are gorgeous and we should live to serve them is all I'm trying to say.

@ObserverIO - All dogs are great companions, but there is something special about the temperament of a Golden Retriever. Labs and a few other breeds are similar, but man are they the happiest and most loving dogs I have ever been around.

@mountainman - Labs are awesome. They're as happy as bulldogs but not as rough.

So, Joe Biden?

@ObserverIO - We used to have an English Bulldog. I absolutely love the breed, but they are a ton of work and anybody getting one has to be ready for that.

Goldens, Labs, Boxers, Shepherds, and many varieties of mixed breeds can be great too.

@mountainman - I had a field golden that was returned by four adoptive homes to the rescue. They couldn't handle him and he didn't respect them. I grew up with hunting dogs and adopted him. He was a huge ass to everyone but me and was happy to do everything with me. Fought his cancer for a year before he passed.

@Reginator - Field Goldens are energetic and willful dogs. They can certainly be a handful. Mine is 3 and she still jumps on people when she gets too excited.

Cancer is a bitch. I lost my first dog to bone cancer.

My warm fuzzy MCU feeling has been growing colder over the last year.
