GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 TV Spot Promises A "Goodbye" And Reveals A New Side To Groot's Powers

Things get seriously emotional in the latest TV spot for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and while there are some big laughs to go with the sadder moments, we also see a bizarre new side to Groot's powers.

Marvel Studios Canada has just released a new TV spot for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 that emphasises the fact this fan-favourite team will be saying "goodbye" to us next month.

It's a tad ominous if we're being honest, but with James Gunn set to bid farewell to the MCU after this movie, we're not exactly surprised that the end is nigh for this specific iteration of the Guardians. On the plus side, there are still some big laughs in this latest sneak peek, including a funny exchange between brother and sister, Star-Lord and Mantis.

However, the weirdest moment comes when we see Groot's head seemingly walking around on four root-like legs! We're curious how that comes to pass but, elsewhere, you'll find new shots of Adam Warlock and more.

Watch this new TV spot for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in the player below.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.

Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.

So Groot has become John Carpenter's The Thing basically? Creepy but morbidly hilarious.

Gonna miss this roster of the team. Even though Vol.2 was a step down for me I still like seeing this cast work together.

They always end up doing this to characters after so many movies come out, bumblebee also started having this same ability by transformers 5 lol

If this can really stick the landing then it’ll be one of the better trilogies in the MCU. It’s a shame Vol. 2 largely sucked or else this could have been the best trilogy of the MCU.

@TheLobster - After Love & Thunder and Quantamania, I owe Vol.2 an apology.

That will suck if it's just goodbye to all of them. The MCU should keep and integrate some of them.

I'm sure Gamora & Drax will go. Probably Quill too. The actors seem to want to move on.

No need to dump all of the others.
